Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique

The scene before them was indeed too strange; how could there be a squad of soldiers in the Star Sky Ancient City that had long become a dead city?

It was truly too suspicious.

”Quickly hide…,” Lin Feng said in a deep voice, feeling that something was not quite right. He swiftly darted toward a distant spot and hid at a corner of a street, where houses were enough to conceal his body.

The others also quickly darted away and hid. The squad of soldiers seemed unaware of their presence and walked toward another direction, quickly disappearing from the square.

”Did you notice, don’t these soldiers seem like they’re patrolling?” someone voiced their thoughts.

Many nodded, as they too had a similar feeling.

Lin Feng rubbed his chin and said, ”Why do I feel that those soldiers don’t seem like living people? They kind of resemble ghost soldiers!”

”Hiss…”. Sounds of sharp intakes of breath were heard.

Ghost soldiers are one of the Netherworld’s military corps, alongside the Netherworld Soldiers, forming one of the two major legions of the Netherworld.

If they are indeed ghost soldiers, then how strange is that? Shouldn’t ghost soldiers be in the Netherworld? How did they come to the Star Sky Ancient City?

”What exactly are ghost soldiers of the Netherworld? Are they ghosts and goblins?” a cultivator asked.

This is a question that puzzles many; what are ghost soldiers?

It is rumored that the Netherworld is a place for the dead.

Like the Eighteen Levels of Hell, Dead Bridge, Yama Hall, and other places, all are located in the Netherworld.

In many people’s eyes, since the Netherworld is a place for the dead, then ghost soldiers should also be like ghosts and goblins, right?

Lin Feng said, ”Perhaps only those from the Netherworld truly know what sort of existence ghost soldiers are… The ghost soldiers are too mysterious. However, I once witnessed ghost soldiers borrowing the road, so I have some impression of their aura. I felt that the aura of those soldiers just now bore some resemblance to ghost soldiers.”

Huo Yihan whispered, ”I heard that the Netherworld is one of the Three Upper Realms, towering above the Three Thousand Great Worlds. And the Three Realms may form passages with some special places between Heaven and Earth. Do you think there might be a passage connecting to the Netherworld within the Star Sky Ancient City?”

”This…”. Many showed uncertain expressions because everyone thought Huo Yihan’s words did hold some possibility.

But if what Huo Yihan said is true, there is a passage in the ancient city connecting to the Netherworld.

Then, wouldn’t the creatures from the Netherworld continuously enter the Star Sky Ancient City?

If those creatures from the Netherworld discover the cultivators entering the Star Sky Ancient City, would they not launch attacks on these cultivators?

Lin Feng said, ”Looks like we need to be careful, try our best to avoid these creatures from the Netherworld, otherwise, we might truly face disaster.”

Everyone also felt it made sense; the creatures from the Netherworld were too eerie, and no one wanted to interact with them.

They walked along a street.

At this time, Lin Feng and others noticed that there were more and more creatures from the Netherworld in the ancient city; besides ghost soldiers, Lin Feng and others also saw some creatures dressed in black robes.

It’s unclear what those creatures in black robes are.

But the aura emitted from those creatures is extremely sinister and terrifying, making people feel chill to the bone.

Those creatures are exceptionally terrifying.

”Ah…”. Suddenly, there were screams again, startling Lin Feng and his group.

They darted toward the direction from where the screams came.

Then they saw dozens of ghost soldiers battling a group of cultivators.

Those ghost soldiers were extraordinarily powerful.

When the cultivators’ attacks struck the ghost soldiers, they seemed unable to inflict any damage.

But when the ghost soldiers’ attacks hit the cultivators, many cultivators died wretchedly.

Then, a terrifying scene ensued.

When the cultivators died, blood and bodies were completely absorbed by the ancient city.

It seems they were swallowed by the ancient city.

”Oh my… what’s going on here?”. Lin Feng’s face suddenly changed, seeing this scene.

Not only did Lin Feng’s face change dramatically, but everyone’s face changed repeatedly.

Because it was really so bizarre.

”Run…”. Many cultivators shouted terrified, trying to flee, but the ghost soldiers were powerful and did not let any cultivators escape; all the cultivators were killed by the ghost soldiers.

”Don’t make a sound, lest you get discovered!” Lin Feng whispered.

The others nodded; right now, everyone dared not make a sound or leave, because once they did, they might be discovered by the ghost soldiers.

If they truly were discovered, it would be a terrifying disaster.

One group of ghost soldiers left.

Lin Feng and others finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But then, dozens of strange beings in black robes flew from the distance.

”Jie Jie Jie Jie…”. Those black-robed monsters emitted sinister sounds, like the cries of Fierce Ghosts, hoarse and unpleasant, making one’s body shiver.

These black-robed monsters launched attacks on Lin Feng and his group.

Both sides immediately collided.

One of the black-robed monsters charged at Lin Feng, extending a ghastly white hand from the robe. Lin Feng countered with a palm strike, sending the black-robed monster flying.

Then he used a Demon Emperor Nine Slashes strike on the black-robed monster’s body, tearing the robe apart, but a bizarre scene occurred: there was nothing inside the robe.

But earlier, a ghastly white hand did emerge from that robe.

These uncanny events made Lin Feng feel a chill in his heart.

Even more terrifying, the torn robe instantly restored itself, flying in again, and a ghastly white hand emerged once more from the robe.

That ghastly white hand, like a sharp sword, swift as lightning, aimed at Lin Feng’s chest.

Seeing this, Lin Feng’s face slightly changed; the speed of this attack from the black-robed monster was too fast. However, Lin Feng was no slouch either; at the moment of danger, he moved sideways, dodging the strike, then kicked the black-robed monster away.

Other cultivators were not as lucky as Lin Feng; many were directly killed by the black-robed monsters, dying miserably.

A black-robed monster charged at Huo Yihan, the sharp claw aimed at her heart; the claw resembled a wolf’s paw.

These black-robed monsters were very strange; emerging from the robe, some had beast claws, others human hands. Huo Yihan couldn’t evade the strike, her face turned pale in fright, a despairing expression on her face.

Boom!

Lin Feng rushed over, punching the black-robed monster away, then he hugged Huo Yihan’s slender waist, racing toward another direction.

These black-robed monsters seemed capable of endless regeneration.

They couldn’t be countered at all; staying would likely mean death.

Lin Feng naturally understood this, so he didn’t think twice about fleeing with Huo Yihan.

As for the others, Lin Feng couldn’t care less; now he was barely surviving, how could he manage the life and death of a bunch of strangers?
