Tempest of the Stellar War

It seemed that barely any time passed but the class had already ended. Li Poshan tried his best to answer all questions.

“Damn… this concept is too tough… To think that being a human did not help!” Zhang Shan shouted in frustration.

Even with all the panic, someone with Ability X would find it easier to accept Qi than others, but to cultivate and internalize it was too difficult, especially when it came to something so natural like breathing.

“Zhang Shan, don’t worry, Professor Li’s class is famous for being difficult. Maybe only seven or eight in a hundred could understand. Those who could get it would at best reach an amateur level, ” Xiaolu said.

“Senior Xiao, can you give me some advice?” Zhang Shan asked.

Xiaolu’s face reddened, “I don’t understand it very well too, or I would have entered Xuan Class-1 already.”

Oli soon forgot the awkwardness that came with cross-dressing, restored her natural self and kept shaking her head.

“Oli, my head is dizzy,” Snow Li said.

“It’s weird, it’s different from what I learnt,” said Oli. “My family members usually start training something similar when they are three to five years old, but the acupoints and method seems different.”

“What… you mean I can’t even compare to a three year old?” Zhang Shan thundered in agitation.

Oli shook her head. “No, we used electricity to help open the Qi channels when we were young.”

Zhang Shan’s jaws dropped, “So cruel, what if you accidentally die?”

The crowd glared at him for his audacity to ask such a thing.

Oli seemed indifferent, “Casualties are inevitable..”

It was no wonder the Arbiter Republic was so fierce. This was definitely not an ordinary way of thinking. Even Oli might have the heart of a monster.

A suitable level of electric current was indeed a way to open acupoint passages within the body. In our times, it was extremely difficult to create an environment to channel Qi, apart from that it required considerable skill and could cause permanent damage if not executed well. It seemed that only Arbiter would do something like this.

That said, Oli was definitely one of the best.

Although the class was over, everyone was still struggling, but were not willing to give up albeit the smallest bit of enlightenment.

In a World of Saints, there were many methods that could be employed to train oneself, it was as easy as using a card. Once the Qi passageways had been established, no fool would waste time training. Although the barrier was not set too high, the simplest path could be quite problematic, even to geniuses.

Someone once asked Li Poshan how he viewed the cultivation techniques in the World of Saints. Yet he opted not to comment and mentioned that only what could truly be grasped in one’s hand was what was truly real.

Many wanted to find inspiration in the World of Saints. Some might have found what they were looking for, while some others might have failed to. Only one thing was certain, everyone kept it to themselves.

Wang Zheng felt neutral. He likened it to the faithful waiting of a loved one. The inheritance of ancient civilisation was not built on one day. To be accurate, it was present in three planets within the solar system. Achilles, Lear, Lie Xin, whatever they might be doing, should feel the same way as him.

They did not eat dinner together. Wang Zheng and Zhang Shan were on their way back. Zhang Shan could not stop practicing his strokes. “Wang Zheng, I think I get it. But I am not so sure. How do I put it, should I ask someone to guide me?”

How could anyone understand Zhang Shan, Wang Zheng barely understood him too. Despite that, Zhang Shan’s talent was impressive.

Wang Zheng smiled, “Your thinking is correct.”

“Oh?” Zhang Shan’s eyes lit up.

“The breathing method is actually a way of cultivating Qi. There are thousands of way to go about it, but you’ve got to find a suitable rhythm that works for yourself.”

“Ohh.. the professor said that this thing should not be tampered with or it would cause internal imbalance.”

“It should not be too big a problem now. You can just stop whenever you sense issues.”

Wang Zheng laughed, the 8 Point breathing method was actually the simplest and most basic method with no special features. It was used to strengthen the human body, but the effects may be more obvious in Ability X users.

These things still depended on Zhang Shan’s self exploration, which was a valuable process.

There was a simple truth in this world: What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!

Zhang Shan found strange comfort in Wang Zheng’s smile. F*ck, why was he getting so worried for nothing, they were already in Elite Academy X! Going back a few years, he could not even dream of entering such a place. Here he was now, alongside the next generation of leaders of the galaxy.

But where were the opportunities?

Along the way, Zhang Shan did not speak and was still struggling with his breathing technique. Wang Zheng did not disturb him any further. Today had been an impactful day, and the best time for Zhang Shan to gain enlightenment. He might carve out an opportunity for himself today.

The cultivation of Qi depended on one’s rhythm. One hundred people’s cultivation would result in one hundred different results. Contrary to what Li Poshan said, this was something mighty and dangerous, but one needed to approach with caution or suffer lasting damage.

Although he was walking, his consciousness was elsewhere.

Wang Zheng was stunned. Geniuses. He had seen plenty. He himself was a super genius, but he was still left speechless by Zhang Shan.

To enter an epiphany while walking was a bit unbelievable.

Generally, one would receive an epiphany when meditating but Zhang Shan was walking. Wang Zheng heightened his sense of alertness. It would be a pity if Zhang Shan was interrupted and he might even get injured.

Ah… this guy was walking astray. Wang Zheng had no choice but to speed up his pace and he directly removed a street light from Zhang Shan’s path.

Zhang Shan was like a huge calligraphy brush when he was immersed in the World of Saints, drawing the wild plants that he was so passionate about. Stroke by stroke, the various acupoints lined up in sync one by one.

To excel in martial arts was to be self-aware. It was good to be hard working of course, but talent was key.

Wang Zheng did not know whether to cry or laugh. This guy was really something. He was completing his first Qi cycle after listening to his casual words. Moreover, in a public area and in such a flamboyant manner.

A person’s personality largely determined the characteristics of his ability. Whether it was spatial movement, or the state he was in now, it had to be consistent with Zhang Shan’s personality.

… A tree in front was blocking Zhang Shan’s path. Wang Zheng sighed. Just as he was prepared to break the tree into half, there was a change in atmosphere around Zhang Shan.

It was impressive he was still partially conscious of his surroundings despite being in a state of enlightenment.

Zhang Shan finally finished the first cycle of his breathing technique. His pupils were obviously brighter than before.

Wang Zheng looked at Zhang Shan. “I think we should be on our way.”

There were signs of flying from the distance, and it was the student union in the form of flash.

“What is with this vandalism, it’s tooo unethical!”

Zhang Shan’s face laced with innocence. Who was this unethical person, and what had it got to do with him.

Wang Zheng could not help but kick Zhang Shan…. this scumbag had left him to hang!

Back at the dormitory, the room looked much simpler after the new renovation. Anyway, Wang Zheng did not really care about his living conditions, as long as he had a roof over his head. Class was interesting today. It seemed that the emphasis on physical skills still existed, probably even more than it was on Earth. Although it was inherited in the Solar System, it was more useful when used in Arbiter. Although the techniques were cruel, there was an eighty to ninety percent chance they originated from Earth.

The Interstellar Voyaging Era was like the migration of an ant colony, spreading the traces of earth civilization with it. Whether they admitted it or not, no planet could eliminate these traces.

The basic exercises did not interest Wang Zheng. Although Li Poshan might know much more, Old Merchant’s words were still nagging in his ears. The Rubik’s Cube was his biggest secret and he must never reveal a trace of it.

At this time, the doorbell rang to Wang Zheng’s surprise. Did Zhang Shan decided to ask him out for dinner?

Nah.. this guy should be immersed in an epiphany right now and would not be bothered with anything else tonight. Then who could it be?

Opening the door, Wang Zheng was stunned by Snow Li’s warm smile.

“Snow, do come in, don’t mind the small place.”

“It is indeed quite small, don’t worry I have prepared something for you,” Snow said while checking out the room.

At this time, Wang Zheng noticed a big suitcase at the door.

It was filled with daily necessities. After paying for the rent, Wang Zheng was surviving on the cheapest necessities.

Snow Li started unpacking the luggage by herself. Wang Zheng felt a little embarrassed.

“You don’t have to do it, let me do it. I have a favour to ask of you later.” Wang Zheng found it difficult to intervene, “We are all friends now, how would I ever reject your favour.”

“It is only right for me to do something for you in exchange, don’t be so polite.” Snow started making his bed. To be honest, these kind of detailed chores were more suited for girls. Snow’s back faced Wang Zheng. She was wearing hot pants, the kind that showed off her straight fair legs, and accentuated her moving butt.

Wang Zheng felt blood rushing to his head. He was lacking in self-control recently, and his impulses were roaring like a beast.

He quickly shifted his vision towards the ceiling to distract himself… The ceiling was really flat.

After Snow’s tidying up, Wang Zheng’s room looked like it was actually a space fit for living. The fridge was filled up, the windows were opened to allow for air ventilation, and the place had a whole new fresh feel.

A good environment always brought about a better mood.

The current state looked quite pleasant.

“Snow, so what was it that you wanted to say?” Wang Zheng smiled.
