Tempest of the Stellar War

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

Although a Brittleskin could not allow him to showcase his full strength, it would still suffice as a warmup.

The Demon Wolf Type V rushed forward. Generally, to defend against the cruel and vicious assault of the Demon Wolf, one would rely on their energy shields to block the assault and then counter attack. However, the Brittleskin did not have any energy shields; it could only block or dodge. Could the Wargod No. 1 even dodge the assault of a Demon Wolf Type V?

The Wargod No. 1 took half a step backwards, just barely enough to dodge the attack effortlessly. Ma Xiao gave a wry smile and continued his assault. Once the Soaring Heavenly Steed Quintuple Successive Chops began, it was unending and relentless.

Retreating would only lead one deeper into the abyss.

The first attack could have been real or a fake; however, what followed right after was a killing move. There was no space to escape. However, the Wargod No. 1 suddenly spun away!

The Demon Wolf continued to attack violently and launched a jump attack after the Wargod No. 1. However, the Wargod No. 1 was like a ghost and barely dodged the jump attack. Each attack was dodged just barely. Yet at this moment, Ma Xiao’s Heavenly Soaring Steed’s final attack arrived.

With his experienced moves, the multiple attacks had forced the enemy into a fatal position.

The Demon Wolf’s mouth opened and a laser cannon fired!

It was fired almost point blank and there was nowhere to escape!

Bang…

It was a perfect killing move!

However, the Wargod No. 1 was once again moving like a ghost. It horizontally shifted without pause as though it had practiced this move countless times. The moment the Demon Wolf opened it’s mouth, the Wargod No. 1 had already moved.

The killing move hit empty air!

The warning system activated indicating a threat appearing on the left side. The Wargod No. 1 was rushing towards him. As a diamond player, he did not attempt to dodge as there was not enough time, so he activated his energy shield.

The Wargod No. 1 rushed over and launched a lunging attack!

Bang…

After being struck, the energy shield crackled and Ma Xiao retreated. However, the Wargod No. 1 continued to attack!

The swift and vicious assault was akin to that of an artillery attack. For a humanoid mech to execute such moves, just how much burst strength was necessary?

The Demon Wolf Type V did not dodge completely; it suffered from some damage by the vicious attacks. The Wargod No. 1 immediately followed up with a sweeping attack. The Demon Wolf had a mechanical tail that was incomparably fast, while the Wargod No. 1 only used its legs, which would definitely be slightly slower, but Ma Xiao felt that something was wrong.

Bang…

Direct hit!

At this moment, the Wargod No. 1 jumped up into the air, and its titanium knife was lunging at the Demon Wolf’s chest.

Sparks flew and Ma Xiao retaliated quickly. However, the Demon Wolf had already lost its balance and was sent hurtling by the Wargod No. 1.

At this point, the mech suddenly flashed past.

Oh my god!

The Wargod No. 1 had grabbed on to the Demon Wolf’s leg and its titanium knife was already stabbing towards the Demon Wolf’s head.

Bang…

The energy shield crumbled as the the titanium knife sliced into the Demon Wolf Type V’s head. There was an explosion of fireworks.

Boooooom…

The Demon Wolf collapsed.

Skeleton WIN. Two successive victories!

In the well-decorated training room, there was complete silence. Every was completely stunned.

How could this be?

It was a humanoid version of the Soaring Heavenly Steed’s Quintuple Successive Chops???

The one he had killed with it was even the creator of the move, Ma Xiao!!!

He even used the Wargod No. 1!!!

Was this just a hallucination?

Ma Xiao did not move at all. He was replaying the series of moves in his mind. Did he make a mistake?

He didn’t make a mistake; this must have just been an expert pretending to be a newbie. The opponent possessed diamond-level moves and this was even done quite shamelessly!

“Who are you? Carlos? Is this your smurf[2]?”

Ma Xiao asked. Carlos was his main rival. Furthermore, he enjoyed using the Wargod No. 1.

Wang Zheng did not reply. The opponent was kind of bad. The moment the battle started, he attacked, This would only be a good move if there was a large disparity in skill levels between the two. As Ma Xiao was fighting an unknown opponent, and doing this to an unknown opponent showed terrible judgement, so he could only be awarded one out of five points. If Bonehead was here, Ma Xiao would definitely receive a 10,000 volt shock.

Ma Xiao was angry now. The opponent completely ignored him and immediately went to look for another opponent in matchmaking.

He himself immediately started matchmaking as well. However, as his luck was not so good, he did not get matched against Skeleton again.

At this point in time, in CT’s Asia Region official forum’s newbie area, there were two new popular videos posted.

The title was “Guess whose smurf this is!”

Skeleton had two successive victories using only the Wargod No. 1.

The number of hits was already in the tens of thousands. There were even several thousand replies to the videos. Although this could not be compared to some of the famous players, this was already considered to be very popular in the beginner arena.

“F**k. He flipped the Beast mech without even using any equipment. This bastard should be Europe Region’s number one Beast player’s, Malu’s, smurf!”

“This was probably an accident. There’s still a small chance this could happen. The Beast mech was rushing too ferociously. What kind of supreme expert would have so much free time to do this?”

“The moderators are too bored. Why would they sticky such a topic. This is just an ordinary bronze ranked promotion match.”

However, after the second video appeared, the atmosphere changed.

“This is Carlos’s smurf!”

“Why don’t you guess who Dragon God 007 is? It should be Dragon God Ma Xiao, right?”

Even if one had not tasted pork or seen a pig walk, there were very few people who could execute the Heavenly Soaring Steed’s Quintuple Successive Chops. The Demon Wolf Type V’s moves were just too amazing. On the contrary, the Wargod No. 1 was still able to dodge the moves. He moved just like a ghost and even executed the move Soaring Heavenly Steed’s Quintuple Successive Chops with a humanoid mech.

Even if the previous match was an accident, this match was bound to be a hot topic!

“This is the textbook example of a dodge. This is definitely an example of the person learning the exact moves of the Soaring Heavenly Steed and was practicing how to dodge it!”

A few veterans couldn’t help but throw in their own opinions too.

When the video was played in slow motion, the Wargod No. 1’s dodges were all by a slim margin. His ability to predict the opponent’s moves was amazing. Even if the Dragon God’s moves were extremely perfect, they were clearly not perfect enough. There were only perfect tactics.

Aina had also won a battle. She was used to piloting actual mecha, so such toys did not arouse her interest. However, she was very curious as to how Wang Zheng performed. How good was his piloting ability?

Wang Zheng’s third opponent appeared.

ID: Chaos Gunner. Hunter Type 3, 130 victories, a win rate of 53%. Bronze rank 5.

Wang Zheng’s two successive victories were not that rare. However, as his win rate was too high, the matchmaking system would match him with increasingly stronger enemies. But someone with just two battles could only be matched up against a bronze 5 ranked opponent. Although the individual was a low ranked bronze opponent, he was still good enough to decimate most newbies.

The moment one becomes ranked, they are generally significantly better than the average player.

Skeleton vs Chaos Gunner. This would normally not be a battle that would elicit any attention. However, as the official forums had focused a lot of attention onto Skeleton, there were numerous players who were interested in this fight. This normal battle would actually have several hundred players willing to pay to watch.

Chaos Gunner was also very curious. Were there such good things that happened in this world?

In this sort of competition, CT would take the majority of the earnings, but depending on how exciting the battle was, they would give a reward for both the winner and the loser. Of course, the winner would receive a bit more.

Who was the opponent? Two battles with two victories… This was clearly someone else’s smurf.

Chaos Gunner was extremely happy. How could such good things happen? He opened up a search engine and quickly found comments on his opponent.

This Skeleton was an expert in close combat and his skills were not bad. However, meeting him was Skeleton’s bad luck. Even if Skeleton was a smurf or an extremely lucky newbie, he would still be destroyed.

Wargod No. 1 VS Hunter Type 3. Battleground: Jungle

The jungle was perfect for sniper style and ambush type mecha. In a situation where one did not even have an energy shield, one hit would cause death.

Xiao Shi looked at the completely calm Wang Zheng. It looked like he had a lot of faith in his gunnery skills.

At this point, Wang Zheng’s selection made Xiao Shi speechless.

Wargod No. 1 picked the titanium knife… and not the laser rifle???

This…

Even without knowing about Xiao Shi’s reaction, Chaos Gunner smiled. There were truly individuals that were overly arrogant in this world. The Wargod No. 1 was already severely disadvantaged with the terrain, and he even picked that broken knife. Did Skeleton actually think that he would be able to fight him at close range?

Half of the 300 viewers began to regret their choice. Being impulsive was truly dumb. A normal match would already require one to pay 10 dollars. Even though the payment wasn’t important, this was just too worthless. The audience felt quite depressed.

However, there was no indication that a refund was possible. They had been tricked by the official forums. For the purpose of entertainment, the official forums would pick certain interesting players to be promoted, and there would eventually be some people who would be tricked.

“Would it kill this Skeleton to at least not be so pretentious? Why would he still pick the Wargod No. 1?”

“F**k. He didn’t even bring the laser rifle. Does he think his opponent is an idiot?”

“Cheated! I’ve been cheated by a fraud again!”

“Were the last two battles staged?”

“Who knows? F**k, that Gunner is an expert. He’s already in position!”

Once the battle started, Chaos Gunner immediately rushed to find an ambush position. After watching the last two videos, he was very clear that he could not allow the opponent to get close to him.

This was a jungle similar to one found on Norton Star. There were large and strange plants that had small gaps in between them. When one was hidden, it also provided a good field of vision for the sniper.

Chaos Gunner did not choose a vantage point that was extremely high. In fact, he chose a position close to the ground.

It was highly unlikely that the opponent was an idiot; it was probably an expert who was a smurf. Thus, the opponent would likely place his focus on the high vantage points. Chaos Gunner found a depression and immediately camouflaged himself while waiting for the opponent to appear.

After seeing this sight, everyone started to sigh. However, what made them even more shocked was that the Wargod No. 1 was clearly walking freely without any concerns in the world.

“Is there something wrong? He is facing the Hunter and still walking in a straight line. Does he have any brains?”

“He is just walking to his death!”

Xiao Shi did not know the opponent’s position, but she felt very worried. The opponent would definitely be lying in ambush. How could Wang Zheng be walking so calmly?

Xiao Shi subconsciously looked at Wang Zheng’s expression and was stunned. A smile hung on his face. It looked like he was truly enjoying himself.

What kind of situation was this?

Wang Zheng was truly enjoying himself. Even though this was still a virtual experience, he had still managed to live half his dream.

Although he seemed very carefree, Wang Zheng’s entire body was poised and ready to strike.

Danger was also a sort of experience!

The mech calmly walked forward. He gradually approached the depression where Chaos Gunner was currently hiding.

Chaos Gunner did not move at all. He quietly waited for his opponent to approach. Hurry up… hurry up… just a bit closer!

Everyone’s heart was beating faster and faster. There were only five meters left. This was where the crescendo of the battle reached a peak!

At this point, the Wargod No. 1 suddenly stopped and began to wander around. Then, as though he had found something, he rushed off somewhere!

D**n it! What was happening!

Chaos Gunner felt a bit depressed. However, his mood quickly improved as the Wargod No. 1 had appeared again. Furthermore, he had even entered his firing sights.

… the screen was constantly flashing. F**k. This bastard was moving pretty fast, so it was not easy to track his position. Every few seconds he would be flitting between the trees. The principle of a sniper was “one shot one kill.” This was especially important for someone lying in ambush. The Wargod No. 1 could not stay completely hidden. However, every step he took made it impossible for Chaos Gunner to lock onto him, and he did not dare to attack wildly.
