Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1461: Both Scientist were working deeply!

Chucckkk~

Splasshhh~

As she parted its ass wider, the flesh collapsed downward in heavy strips, raining like something rotten and obscene. Blood sprayed and dripped in uneven patterns, painting the floor with a slick sheen that reflected the chamber lights in nauseating crimson hues.

”OH MY GO—”

Helena bolted from the chamber, her legs moving before her mind could catch up, bile already rising in her throat. Selene followed immediately, then Aqualina, while Maelona and Emberlyn staggered after them, hands clamped over their mouths as their stomachs convulsed violently.

Sandra, Celestia Sera, Aria, Lyirrs, Drakhairs, Nightfire, Nyx, Thalia, and Raven remained inside the prison chamber.

None of them moved, their bodies locked in place as their minds struggled to process what their eyes were still witnessing.

Just as the shock began to settle, when,

Thuck...

Thuckk...

Two round balls dropped from the torn opening, hitting the floor with dull, meaty sounds before rolling slightly. They were soaked in blood and clinging flesh, strings of gore still connecting them to what they had once belonged to, twitching faintly.

Xara stood over them, her expression twisted into something grim and disturbingly pleased. She nodded slowly, her lips curling upward as satisfaction settled deep into her eyes, as if a question had finally been answered.

”So you really are a bad ’BOY’... huh?”

Her voice was soft... almost playful!

Her boots rolled forward, pressing against the two balls, dragging them slowly across the blood-slick floor. She turned toward Aria, her smile widening with cruel curiosity as she asked,

”Tell me. What did it say before it started begging?”

Aria flinched hard, her shoulders jerking as if waking from a nightmare she could not escape.

”Y-Yeah... yeah... well,” her voice shook violently as she tried to speak, the words stumbling over each other.

She knew she messed up, but this... This is too much!

The sight of the exposed organs, the torn flesh still dripping steadily onto the floor. Her muscles clenched tightly as nausea surged upward,

”MOUF—”

Her hand barely reached her mouth before she turned and ran, boots slipping slightly on blood as she fled the chamber, retching uncontrollably as she disappeared into the corridor.

Xara watched her go, blinking slowly, her head tilting to the side with genuine curiosity.

”What happened to her?” Her voice sounded almost sweet, as if she truly did not understand why anyone would look away from this.

”Hehe~”

Xara giggled softly, the sound light and childish, completely at odds with the carnage at her feet. Her eyes gleamed as her boot rolled the two balls again, pressing just hard enough to feel their softness give beneath the sole, as if she had discovered a fascinating new toy.

”See,” Sandra said softly, her gaze never leaving Xara. ”I told you. She’s worse than me, and I meant every.”

Sera swallowed hard, her throat tightening painfully, while the others stood frozen.

Just then, Xara’s expression snapped.

Her eyes flared violently, the playful light vanishing in an instant, replaced by pure fury that radiated outward like heat. Veins surfaced along her temples as rage twisted her features into something terrifying.

”Fuck my pussy?” She spat, ”How dare you speak to me like that? Are you even worthy to look at me, let alone say those words? FUCKING ANIMALS!!”

Her boots lifted slowly, giving them just enough time to understand what was about to happen.

Then she brought them down with ruthless force,

Crack!

Crack!

SPLASH!

The two balls burst under her boots, crushed into pulp and gore that sprayed outward across the floor.

Blood and flesh smeared beneath her soles as she ground them down without hesitation.

Thud!

No, No! The woman had not fallen.

The only man present fell to the ground as if his legs had been cut out from under him, his body reacting to pain without ever being touched. His hands clutched his crotch instinctively, fingers digging in as his face drained of all colour, breath hitching violently as the image burned itself into his mind.

”Your Majesty...” His voice trembled, thin and broken, barely audible as his consciousness slipped away.

”She... she is worse than my d-dear wife!”

”Father!!”

Lyirrs screamed as she lunged toward him.

Nyx’s eyes remained locked on Xara for a long time. Slowly, her gaze shifted downward toward Drakhairs’ fallen form.

Sera never made a sound; she just collapsed into Sandra’s arms, as if her mind had finally exceeded its limit, under the weight of what she had witnessed.

Sandra lifted her head and looked around at the others, at the pale faces, the shaking hands. Her expression remained blank, almost distant, as if none of this surprised her anymore.

”Told you~” She muttered quietly.

*****

Anyway, that was how it happened, how all those things unfolded, one step bleeding into the next, but... Aether did not need to know any of it.

After all, this was nothing more than information gathering, at least that was what Xara told herself, repeating it until the words felt lighter than the act itself.

It was just a process, just work, nothing personal, nothing worth explaining in detail.

Right?

Aether stared at her smile, blank and unblinking. He had questions, far too many of them, each pressing against his tongue, but they withered the moment he took in the scene properly.

Her excitement, her genuine happiness, and beside her, a skinless, headless body stitched together with crude precision, blood dripping lazily from its seams and pooling beneath it.

’Nah... It’s better I didn’t hear anything,’ he thought.

His eyes drifted lower despite his better judgment, drawn to the stitched crotch area where flesh had been pulled together without care, like a training dummy flat crotch.

There was no way to tell whether the body had once been a woman or a man.

Some details were better left untouched.

He knew that and... He truly did!

Still,

”How is it still alive?” he asked.

Xara smiled softly, almost tenderly, as her fingers guided the body back into the thick pool of blood. The liquid rippled around it as though welcoming it home, and she watched it sink with an expression that bordered on affection.

”My ability,” she said calmly, as if stating the most natural fact in the world.

Aether raised his eyebrows, his gaze snapping back to her face.

”Your bloodline ability? But... that ability only involves taking the Phantom heart, right?”

Xara nodded without hesitation.

”Indeed,”

She turned and walked toward another corner of the room, behind the metallic wall, one cluttered with tools, wires, and humming machinery.

Aether followed her. As she moved, she spoke again,

”Yeah, mine is nothing more than placing curses on those who annoy me and taking their Phantom hearts. That’s how I’ve worked all this time. Simple and efficient.”

She stopped at the corner, her hand resting against the cold metal surface beside her, and her smile shifted, becoming sharper, more thoughtful.

”But this time,” she continued, her tone lowering slightly, ”I wondered... what would happen if I placed a curse on its head instead?”

Aether blinked.

”It’s not like I never considered it before. The idea crossed my mind plenty of times. I just never had the right technology to support it. Everything I had back then was too crude, too limiting. But here...”

She gestured for Aether to come closer, her fingers curling in a beckoning motion.

His eyes widened the moment he saw it.

A fountain of blood poured endlessly over a metallic head, the crimson liquid flowing through layered channels like a grotesque parody of something decorative. Tubes and wires protruded from the metal, twitching faintly as though alive, feeding and extracting at the same time.

It reminded him of a chocolate fountain he had once seen, except this was no indulgence. Blood flowed from one level to another, cascading downward, and beneath it was the metallic head, completely drenched, glistening under the light.

Xara watched his reaction closely before speaking again,

”Removing the helmet without damaging the head turned out to be harder than I expected,” she explained. ”So it’s taking time. A lot of time. But that’s fine. Precision matters more than speed when you’re reshaping something at this level.”

Her eyes never left the machine as she spoke.

Aether hummed quietly, his expression unreadable. He did not seem freaked out, not even unsettled. If anything, curiosity slowly replaced caution as his gaze lingered on the machine.

”Is it alive?” he asked.

Xara shook her head slowly before correcting herself,

”As of now, it is alive, but not awake. As long as I keep feeding it blood, and as long as that body remains submerged in it, the system sustains life. It breathes in its own way. But the moment it wakes up...” Her voice trailed off, and she let out a quiet sigh instead of finishing the thought.

Aether hummed again, ”Do you think it will work?” he asked.

”Not 100%”

”Huh?”

”Ahem. I mean, once I open the helmet, I will be able to see what is actually inside. From there, I can observe how the flow behaves, how the curse interacts with the structure. Only then will I know for sure.”

Aether nodded slowly, absorbing that, but then his brows furrowed with mild confusion.

”The helmet,” he said, glancing back at the machine. ”It should be easy to take it off, right?”

Xara gave a weak, conflicted smile.

”It should be, yes. But Lyirrs wants it removed with as little damage as possible.”

Aether raised his eyebrows.

”Lyirrs?”

Xara nodded softly and gestured for him to follow. She led him toward another metallic door and slowly opened it.

Inside, the room was filled with metal. Tables lined with metallic objects, fractured plates, exposed frames, shards of crystal, and disassembled components of metallic figures lay arranged with careful precision. Diagnostic displays flickered across several screens, lines of data scrolling endlessly as scanners hummed in the background.

Aether’s eyebrows lifted higher when he noticed that the metallic parts that had been cut off were now placed neatly on a table, being scanned, wired, and stabilised. Standing beside them was Lyirrs, holding delicate probes and zoom lenses, her hands moving with practised speed as she worked in absolute focus, her expression sharp and serious.

Aether took a step forward, but Xara stopped him with a gentle hand against his chest.

”She is busy,” Xara said quietly. ”If we disturb her now, she might lose her concentration.”

She closed the door before he could respond.

Aether blinked once... He remembered asking Lyirrs once to work here, only for her to refuse, saying it reminded her too much of her past.

She had not wanted anything to do with it back then.

And yet now...

’Everyone is moving on...’ Aether thought with a strange heaviness.

He turned back to Xara, only to notice her staring at his empty sleeve, her gaze lingering longer than necessary.

”Xara?”

”H Huh? Nothing...” She waved her hand softly, as if brushing the moment away, then straightened and spoke with a more serious tone. ”She is trying to find a way to understand how those metallic suits function. Their structure, their core logic, their limitations. Once we figure that out, we might gain an advantage. That is what she is working on right now.”

Aether nodded in understanding... That could be useful!

Once she decoded those systems, navigating through all this would become easier.

”Also,” Xara suddenly said, her expression turning sharp. ”I found something interesting in that creature’s blood.”

”What do you mean?” Aether leaned in closer.

”I am not 100% sure yet,” she admitted, ”But so far, from my tests, I have found that their blood has the ability to exist in both Arcane and Clarion energy atmospheres.”

Aether’s eyes widened instantly, ”Then...”

Before Aether could allow even a fragment of hope to take shape, Xara shook her head,

”It’s still in the preliminary stage,” she said quietly. ”But once I understand how their blood truly works, it might help me break through the threshold I’ve been struggling with in my tests.”

Aether’s expression turned serious as he nodded in agreement.

”That’s good,” he replied.

Xara smirked faintly, a spark of excitement slipping through her composure.

”So even if nobody wants it anymore, I have to keep it alive until we capture the next one.”

Aether let out a weak smile as he watched her, unable to ignore how cute she looked. She truly seemed like someone who had found an interesting toy to play with.

Only... that toy had once been a real person.

”How long do you think it will take before it wakes up?” Aether asked softly.

Xara shrugged, her gaze drifting back toward the machinery.

”Maybe a week. I honestly don’t know. But one thing I do know is that it’s working. Slowly, steadily, I’m getting closer.”

Aether nodded, a gentle smile forming as he stepped closer and wrapped her in a one-armed hug.

”Please don’t push yourself too hard,” he said quietly.

Xara smiled against his chest as she returned the embrace, her arms tightening around him, though her eyes lingered once more on his empty sleeve.

”It’s not that,” she replied softly. ”I love what I’m doing.”

”Even so,” Aether added, patting her back gently, ”I want my wife to stay healthy. I don’t want you drained out because of me.”

He kissed her cheek, then rested his forehead against hers, his voice dropping to a whisper.

”Don’t worry about my hand. I’ll be fine.”

Xara blinked, her throat tightening before she nodded slowly. She had so many things she wanted to say. The fear she felt when she tried to treat him.

The pain of watching him suffer. But now, none of that mattered.

Right now, she just wanted to feel his warmth.

That was enough.

”I... I missed you,” she murmured, looking up at him with teary eyes.

Aether’s heart trembled at the sight. He leaned in and kissed her lips gently as he pulled back just enough to speak.

”I love you~”

”Hmm~”

Normally, Xara would have grown shy, her words tangled and hesitant. But this time, she smiled warmly, savouring the lingering warmth on her lips. Her cheeks flushed red, and for a brief moment, everything felt right.

Then—

”Also... you reek,” Aether said suddenly, wrinkling his nose as he covered it.

Yes, she absolutely reeked. Blood, flesh, chemicals, and old sweat clung to her lab coat, which had not been changed in far too long, stained with dried blood and residue from countless experiments.

Xara’s blushing face went completely blank.

Thud!

She threw him out of the lab without hesitation.

Inside, her panicked scream echoed through the room.

”FUCK! I SMELL DISGUSTING!!”

She sniffed her arms.

How in the world had Aether hugged her?

Kissed her?

Outside, Aether chuckled to himself. He hadn’t meant to hurt her feelings... Nor was he mocking her.

He just wanted to remind her.

Please take a bath every now and then.

Since he might show up at any moment, she had to take care of herself, too, right?

Sometimes, being direct was the only way to get through to her.
