Chapter 836: Sisters’ Thoughts

Wanyan Ping was utterly stunned. In her heart, her sister and brother-in-law had always been a match made in heaven. Though her sister was peerlessly beautiful, she was also virtuous, gentle, and reserved—she wouldn’t even glance at another man. Yet the scene before her now struck her like a thunderbolt.

She had never imagined that the sister she revered would be in such a shameful position beneath another man. But the evidence was right before her eyes—she couldn’t deny it.

‘What should I do?’ Wanyan Ping wanted to barge in and demand why her sister would betray her brother-in-law. Yet she knew her sister, though outwardly delicate, was inwardly strong-willed. If she recklessly confronted her, what if her sister, overwhelmed by shame, t00k her own life?

Though Wanyan Ping deeply loved Tang Kuo Bian, Gebi was also the elder sister who had doted on her since childhood. How could she push her own sister to despair for the sake of her brother-in-law?

But if she didn’t intervene, could she simply pretend nothing had happened? Wanyan Ping knew she wasn’t the type to keep secrets. How could she face her sister and brother-in-law afterward? And if her brother-in-law ever asked, should she tell the truth or help her sister conceal it?

After wrestling with her thoughts for a long time, she realized that no matter what she chose, one of her dearest loved ones would be hurt. Finally, she came up with a perfect solution: once her sister left, she would quietly kill the adulterer inside. That way, her sister could no longer betray her brother-in-law, and she could pretend none of this had ever happened.

Having made up her mind, she felt a surge of determination. Her fingers brushed the whip and curved blade at her waist—the moment her sister left, she would strike. The man inside, having just reached the peak of pleasure, would be at his weakest. She was certain she could finish him in one blow.

‘How despicable! To do such a thing on my brother-in-law’s bed!’ Wanyan Ping’s delicate face darkened with fury. Unwilling to blame her sister, she directed all her rage at the man instead.

Strangely, however, the man inside seemed to have boundless stamina. Wanyan Ping waited for what felt like an eternity, but the ordeal showed no signs of ending. Several times, she nearly lifted the window and stormed in—but each time she glimpsed her sister’s expression, she couldn’t bear to humiliate her and forced herself to hold back.

As she lingered outside, the intermittent sounds from the room made her legs weak and her body restless. Having only recently experienced desire herself, her self-control was at its lowest. Unconsciously, her entire body felt as if it were submerged in warm water. She knew she couldn’t stay any longer—otherwise, she would be the one left vulnerable, not the man inside.

Shooting one last hateful glare at the despicable man, Wanyan Ping quietly retreated several dozen feet, hiding behind a rock garden where the indecent noises could no longer reach her. She steadied her breathing and focused, waiting for her sister to leave so she could make her move.

Song Qingshu had actually sensed someone outside the door long ago. At first, he thought it was some nosy servant and debated whether to silence them to prevent gossip. But when Wanyan Ping lifted the window slightly, he recognized her.

Realizing it was Wanyan Ping outside, Song Qingshu’s mind went blank. He was in the middle of seducing her sister—given her devotion to Tang Kuo Bian, she would surely lose control. What if she burst in? How would he handle the fallout?

Most importantly, Gebi was already shy by nature. It had taken a perfect storm of circumstances for her to yield to him last night. If her younger sister witnessed this, she would likely refuse to let him touch her ever again.

Just as he was panicking, Song Qingshu noticed Wanyan Ping showed no intention of barging in. After a brief moment of surprise, he quickly deduced her thoughts.

‘Who would’ve thought this fiery little pepper would actually be so considerate when it counts?’ With his worries eased, Song Qingshu devoted his full attention to Gebi.

Much later, Gebi rested her arm lightly on Song Qingshu’s shoulder and whispered, “Young Master, please don’t tell my sister about Wogula’s death just yet. She loved him so deeply, and she’s always been impulsive. I fear that if she learns the truth, she’ll rush to take revenge on Wanyan Liang and put herself in danger.”

Song Qingshu’s expression turned peculiar. These sisters are truly something. One had caught her sister in the act but remained silent, while the other, knowing the truth, still sought to protect her sister. Though their personalities differed, their choices aligned perfectly—both wanted to shield the other at all costs.

“I can agree to that, but secrets don’t stay buried forever. She’ll find out one day,” Song Qingshu said meaningfully.

“We’ll deal with that when the time comes. Right now, I just want to avenge Wogula,” Gebi sighed softly.

Noticing her mood darkening again, Song Qingshu leaned close to distract her: “What did you just call me?”

“Young Master,” Gebi nudged him lightly. “I know what you’re thinking. Unless we’re putting on an act in public, I won’t call you ‘husband.’”

Seeing her firm stance, Song Qingshu knew pressing further was futile. “Fine, no ‘husband.’ But given our relationship, isn’t ‘Young Masterd’ too distant?”

“Then what should I call you?” Gebi’s cheeks flushed. Their relationship was indeed strange—not quite friends, yet not quite lovers either.

“Since I’m sworn brothers with Tang Guo, you can call me… brother-in-law,” Song Qingshu teased, grinning as he moved closer.

Gibi shot him an exasperated look. “Since when does a brother-in-law pin down his sister-in-law like this?”

“Since now—right here,” Song Qingshu smirked, planting a k!ss on her cheek.

Gibi turned her face away, unwilling to let him see her blush. “I realize now that you tricked me last night.”

“How so?” Song Qingshu was baffled.

“You made it sound so noble, but it was just an excuse for your lustful nature,” Gebi huffed.

“That night really was an accident!” Song Qingshu protested.

“Hmph. Maybe with me, but what about Ping’er? You knew she loved Wogula, yet you stole her purity by impersonating him. How do you explain that?” Gebi’s voice grew colder.

“In that situation—alone in the wilderness, a man and a woman—things were bound to get heated…” Noticing Gebi’s darkening expression, he threw caution to the wind and pulled her close. “Fine, I admit it—I want both of you! The thought of you two with other men drives me mad. You, her—it’s all the same! If you hate me for it, then kill me. I won’t even flinch.”
