It was the middle of the night. The sky was completely dark but it was far from quiet in these boundless mountains. Savage beasts lurked; their thunderous roars shook the mountains, causing the forest to tremble and the trees to rustle.

Yet another beast roar. Lin Feng retracted his neck and swept off the leaves that fell on his body. Looking at the dark mountains, he sighed in his heart. This place was really a lot different from Earth.

As Lin Feng was spacing out under a tree, a few wild looking teens looked at him with disdain. A little fat boy shouted at Lin Feng, ”We didn’t allow an outsider like you to stay in our village just to freeload and eat. Hurry up and work!”

Lin Feng got back to his senses. Without speaking, he stood up, wiped the leaves off his bottom and left.

Behind him, the little fatty snorted, ”Useless trash… His physical strength can’t even compare to a child’s. We should just throw him into the mountains and let him get eaten by wild beasts!”

Lin Feng’s lips twitched. Big brother here is an Earthling who travelled through worlds. How can my strength compete against you animals.

This is the Heaven Primal World, a world governed by cultivators.

The village in front of him, Wolf Village, was just a small village in these vast mountains. Naturally, there were no cultivators here, but every villager trained hard in martial arts and their physical strength. This even included the women and children.

This was the only way they could survive in this world where savage beasts were rampant.

Even though it was the middle of the night, the young men of the village still had to enter the mountains to hunt as there were more animals active at night. While there were many dangers which came from entering the mountains at night, there were also greater rewards.

All the villagers were used to this lifestyle. The children that remained in the village do not sleep as they gathered to play and compete, waiting for the adults to return from the hunts.

Children, with snot still running from their noses, casually played with stone blocks that weighed over 100 jin. A group of teens were competing to see who could lift a big 1000 jin cauldron in the village.

Lin Feng looked at the group of little animals and sighed silently. He’s truly trash when comparing his strength against these children..

But this did not make Lin Feng feel depressed. Even though he was occasionally talked about behind his back, he used his sweet-talking ability to temporarily stay in this little village. What really hurt his balls, is something else which had appeared in his head.

Super Founder System.

Initially, Lin Feng was incredibly happy, thinking that world travellers had exclusive benefits. However, the first explanation of the system immediately made his heart go cold.

”System Main Quest: Host creates a sect, establishing this world’s number one sect, becoming the number one founder.”

”The main quest is split into different stages. Every stage needs to be completed within a set amount of time. If the task is not completed within the time limit, directly eliminate the host!”

Lin Feng looked at the system explanation, especially that last line ”Directly eliminate the host”. He was speechless for a long time before squeezing out a few words through his teeth, ”I bought a watch last year!” [1]

After venting his anger, Lin Feng helplessly read the details of the quest. He was not prepared to risk challenging the system, seeing if it could really eliminate him. He just came to this world, he did not even warmed up his seat yet, he didn’t want to die again.

Main Quest 1.0 — Take in 4 disciples.

Quest Details: Even if it’s a wandering practitioner, if they want to pass on their legacy, they need to take in a disciple. A sect’s most important resource will always be people. Famous teachers teach outstanding students. It is hard to find a famous teacher. It is even harder to find an outstanding student.

Quest Time Limit: 1 year. If not completed within the time limit, directly eliminate the host!

”This is bullsh*t!” Lin Feng let out a sigh. ”I’m just a newbie who travelled through worlds. I’m as tender as a bush of young cabbage. I should be the one looking for a strong master and hugging his leg, right?”

”Oh System, at any rate, shouldn’t you at least give me a secret manual before I can start taking in students? I’ve got nothing in my pockets so what do you want me to teach them? Cheating and boasting?”

”What’s worse is, the system clearly said that there will be a novice gift, yet it’s telling me that a malfunction has happened to the gift system and that the novice gift has been delayed!” Lin Feng sighed as there was no end to the bullsh*t he is in.

However, at least the trading system was open, and it had a bunch of good stuff: panaceas, magic weapons, manuals, techniques. If you could think of it, it would probably be there.

There’s one big problem: all of the items required trading points and Lin Feng didn’t even have a single trading point at the moment. He could only stare at the system and roll his eyes.

Lin Feng was in the middle of swearing at the bullsh*t system when there was a sudden commotion at the entrance of the village. From the looks of it, the hunting party had returned.

The teens waiting at the entrance all happily went to greet them while Lin Feng glanced at them indifferently. Surprisingly, the men returning from the hunt were all empty handed. Not only did they not have any prey, even their weapons were missing.

For the villagers, their weapons were their second life. Living in the mountains, it would be impossible to survive without weapons.

The corners of Lin Feng’s lips lifted up into a hard-to-notice smile, ”Seems like there’s a story.” As he thought of this, he walked towards the crowd at the village entrance.

He did not even need to get close before he heard someone yelling angrily, ”Lang Feng is our Wolf Village’s hope. Now he’s been seriously injured by the people of Stone Village, we cannot let this go!”

Lin Feng lifted his eyes and looked over, seeing a teen in the middle of the crowd lying on the ground with a dejected expression. His entire body was covered with wounds and his eyes released a cold gleam of hatred.

”This is the genius the people of Wolf Village are always talking about?” Lin Feng secretly watched him. He had already heard Lang Feng’s illustrious name for a long time. He was the idol of the entire Wolf Village’s teens and was seen as the hope of the village. Today was Lin Feng’s first time seeing him in person.

Even though Lang Feng was currently hurt, the energy within his body was evident. Even though the strength of his body could not compare to those of cultivators, but it was definitely top notch amongst worldly martial artists.

Based on the public opinion of the Heaven Primal World, being able to achieve such a physical body at such a young age signified great prospects in his future cultivation. Ultimately, what cultivators did was to guide the energy of the world into their bodies, using it to refine their mana and strengthen their foundations.

Lin Feng quietly brought out his Super Founder System and activated the Disciple Talent Probe. He faced it towards Lang Feng and pressed confirm.

”The target’s aptitude is too low; he cannot become the host’s disciple.”

Lin Feng scrunched his forehead. This system was too picky. His initial thoughts were to randomly take in four disciples to get over with the system’s one year limit. He could simply kick them out at the end.

But from the looks of it, it wasn’t so easy to exploit the system. Even Lang Feng, the famous genius of Wolf Village didn’t have the qualifications to be his disciple. The difficulty for Lin Feng to take in four disciples and complete the system’s task was a little too much.

”One year’s time, one year’s time…” Lin Feng let out a depressed sigh.

In the crowd, an old man beside Lang Fang snorted, ”Lang Feng is my grandson; of course we cannot let this go. But now’s not the right time. There’s been a lot of activity in the mountains over the past few days. From the looks of it, a mountain treasure is about to appear. First we get the treasure. Then we can go settle things with Stone Village!”

Fights between village clans occurred commonly, and Lin Feng had no interest in the fight. But the two words ”Mountain Treasure” excited him.

Lin Feng was in the middle of pondering about the mountain treasure when he suddenly heard someone in the crowd cursing quietly, ”How did Stone Village raise that little monster? He’s still a little child who’s barely 4 years old. To think that he can defeat our village’s genius Lang Feng. It’s preposterous!”

Lin Feng’s eyes suddenly lit up.

A little kid, who’s not even 4 years old, beat this village genius Lang Feng?

Lang Feng could already be considered quite talented; the person that injured him hadn’t even reached 4 years of age, what kind of talent was that?

The little fatty beside Lin Feng quietly cursed, ”Damn twerp, we have to kill him!”

Giving him a glance, Lin Feng echoed, ”Yes, indeed.” However, in his heart, Lin Feng was thinking that he might have finally found someone who could win the system’s acknowledgement.

As he thought of this, Lin Feng silently backed out of the crowd. Right now, he wished that he could grow a pair of wings and fly towards Stone Village, but he didn’t dare to leave the village by himself. He would just be giving an extra meal to the beasts in the mountains.

Right at this moment, the stiff, mechanical sound of the system notification abruptly rang in Lin Feng’s mind.

”Novice Gift distributed, do you want to examine it?”

After a brief feeling of blankness, Lin Feng became thrilled in his heart. He’d never felt that the dull and stiff sound of the system notification would actually be so pleasant and nice.

Finding an empty space, Lin Feng opened the novice gift.

Novice gift: Host obtains basic level of Qi Disciple 4th level. Obtains 1 lottery chance. Obtains 300 trading points. Obtains tao technique manual”Nine Heavens Thunder Technique”. Obtains ”Heavenly Thunder Call” skill.

Lin Feng blanked out; a warm feeling flowed downwards from the top of his head, flowing straight into his chest and swiftly released a hidden nerve point in his body.

The body hides 12 important nerve points; cultivators called them the 12 floors.

The Qi Disciple stage training was split into 12 levels so as to clear the 12 floors. With every nerve point released, spiritual energy would be converted into mana, and the cultivator’s mana capacity would increase.

At this moment, Lin Feng felt a warm current flowing through his body, directly opening up 4 nerve points within his body before it disappeared. As Lin Feng inhaled and exhaled, the energy of the world was rapidly sucked into his body, circling in the 4 released nerve points.

Every nerve point was like a constantly revolving star cluster universe. Spiritual energy was constantly being converted into Lin Feng’s own mana, just like when the universe was first created, developing all life in the universe.

Lin Feng felt his entire body becoming lighter. With a single thought, the mana in his nerve points erupted like a spring, causing explosive strength to seethe in his body.

Only after a long time did Lin Feng start to gradually grow accustomed to the changes in his body. He comforted himself in his heart, ”I finally have some ability to protect myself.” But after thinking that the system’s ultimate goal was to create history’s number 1 sect and that he had to become history’s number 1 founder, Ling Chen instantly felt massive pressure. He hurriedly investigated the other items of the novice gift.

”Lottery chance?” Lin Feng looked in the Super Founder System, there was also a lottery system beside the trading system. But it was in the grey inactivated state. At the moment, he didn’t need to think about it.

He could only hope that the purchasing power of his 300 trading points would be high enough to actually do anything.

While thinking about it, Lin Feng entered the trading system. Previously, he was completely broke and he didn’t even have the heart to look at the prices.

Carefully looking at the prices, Lin Feng secretly cursed the system. A bottle of the lowest grade qi nourishing pellet required 10 trading points, even an iron sword with a bit of spirituality was 30 points.

A set of the most basic clothing, a set of taoist clothes, required 50 points.

The most basic spells like ”Fireball” and ”Thunder Palm” required 100 points.

Lin Feng didn’t even dare to look at the high end items with a string of zeros behind their butts, . He was afraid of he might faint.

Lin Feng stared at that pitiful 300 trading points in his ”Current Trading Points” column. He shook his head, ”My starting capital is too little.”

Luckily, the novice gift also gave a tao technique manual and a skill, or else Lin Feng would really be at a loss.

Tao techniques were the basics of cultivation; their main purpose was to enhance one’s level. On the other hand, skills included martial arts and spells which could have many different effects.

A pleasant surprise was that the level of the Nine Heavens Thunder Technique was very high. The current trade system didn’t even have it; he had to upgrade the system in order to trade for it.

To upgrade the system, Lin Feng needed to complete a certain number of system tasks. It was still too early to think about it.

Nine Heavens Thunder Technique was one of the top lightning tao techniques of this Heaven Primal world and it had been lost for many years. The ancients who trained in this technique were big shots who could do anything they wanted.

According to the explanation, the novice gift randomly gifts a type of tao technique. Lin Feng could be considered incredibly lucky to be able to get the Nine Heavens Thunder Technique, . Even though the purchasing power of 300 trading points was limited, the feeling of depression in Lin Feng’s heart was completely swept away.

With this top-level tao technique, Lin Feng would first find a place to train before emerging to wreak havoc on this world. If only he didn’t have this bullsh*t main quest.

Since he had to go and take in disciples, it’s a totally different story..

Lin Feng was dissatisfied but he quickly adjusted his mood and swiftly started to take action.

After calmly asking for the path towards Stone Village, he quietly left Wolf Village without alerting anybody.

Right now, the two villages were in a hostile relationship. Lin Feng who had already become a cultivator was not afraid of Wolf Village’s villagers troubling him. However, he was afraid that they might reveal his identity in front of Stone Village’s villagers.

Thankfully the villagers of Wolf Village were all gathered at the village entrance and talking amongst themselves because of the matter of Lang Feng’s injury. Lin Feng went behind the village so that nobody would notice his movement.

As he walked along the path, Lin Feng did not hesitate and directly invested 50 trading points to buy an outfit for himself.

How could Lin Feng who came from Earth not understand the logic: ”the tailor makes the man”. If you wanted to sell something, you would have to do a good job in promoting and packaging.

Lowering his head and looking at his taoist outfit – a white robe with wide sleeves, a sage-like master image – Lin Feng nodded his head in satisfaction. The system’s items might be expensive, but there’s nothing to complain about their quality and appearance.

When Lin Feng arrived at the entrance of Stone Village, the first thing he saw was the broken half of a giant, dead tree. The tree’s diameter was a whole dozen meters; its entire body was burnt black.

Lin Feng gazed at the tree and speculated that this was a lightning tree. Many years ago it was probably struck by lightning. The old tree’s massive canopy and exuberant vitality were all destroyed, leaving behind a 8-9 meter tall tree stump.

Just looking at the size of the remaining tree trunk, one could imagine how massive the tree was when it was alive.

Now, the dead tree’s entire body was burnt black without any hint of life.

At this moment, an old person walked over, coughing as he said, ”This tree has already withered for fourteen years.” The old man walked to the front of Lin Feng and started sizing him up, ”I am the village chief of Stone Village, how can I help Mr Taoist?”

Lin Feng smiled faintly; his body naturally exuded a proud, unworldly aura. Pairing that with his clothing of a white robe with wide sleeves, his appearance was absolutely perfect. He definitely had the style of a master who surpassed this mundane realm.

”Discovered target. Suitable to become host’s disciple.”

Lin Feng was just about to speak when he heard the sudden sound of a system notification, causing him to almost choke on his spit.

The Stone Village chief looked at Lin Feng in puzzlement, but he then shivered for a moment in fright.

Lin Feng’s two eyes turned green as he stared at the village entrance like a starving wolf.

At the village entrance, a cute, beautiful little boy with snow white skin was pulling on the tail of a big yellow dog. His voice was childish and crisp, ”Hey, hey, don’t run!”

The sound of the system rang non-stop in Lin Feng’s mind, ”Talent system has finished organizing. Target number 1’s data is as follows.”

”Body Root–> 10; Comprehension –> 8; Will –> 8; Blessings –> 8.”

”Conclusion: Target’s talent is extremely high, recommended to take him in as a disciple and carefully guide him; he will definitely become a pillar of the sect.”

Lin Feng did not see anything else. His eyes were staring straight at that blood-red number behind body root: ”10”.

The max points for this talent system was 10.

The body root was the congenital talent factor of a cultivator’s body. A body root of 10, what did that mean?

Here’s an example, if other people running from start to finish needed to run 100 meters, under the condition of the same finishing point, this little guy’s starting point was at 90 meters!

No wonder why he could beat the crap out of that Lang Feng even though he wasn’t even 4 years old.

At this moment, Xiao Budian also noticed Lin Feng and he looked over with a confused face. His large, black eyes blinked, causing him to look like a cute little puppy.

Lin Feng smacked his lips. Not only did this little boy have a heaven defying body root, his comprehension, will and blessings also exceeded even the greatest geniuses.

Wasn’t there too much pressure taking in this kind of guy as a disciple?

Lin Feng pondered and his face gradually revealed a warm, sunny smile.

If people familiar with Lin Feng in his previous life saw him reveal this kind of smile, they would immediately hide as far away as possible.

Usually, when Lin Feng smiled like this, someone was going to get majorly screwed!
