Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights

Chapter 266: Isolde... Pregnant

The next morning...

The Pendragon Mansion had a fraction of their number, lots of the servants, gardeners, cooks had been given an indefinite break, only told to appear when they were called upon.

Everyone thought the reason was because Arthur Pendragon and his wife were devastated by the death of their last child, no one actually knew it was because they wanted to hide their resurrected daughter.

Even though she came back with sharper facial features, long dark red hair, different eyes and the aura of an inhuman existence than a human, Isolde could still be recognized without proper precautionary acts.

Christine emerged from the kitchen with two glass cups filled with pomegranate juice. She found Isolde gazing at the garden beyond the floor-to-ceiling window in the dining room.

Sunlight pouring in through the glass embraced the young woman.

She stood there in a white shirt that clearly belonged to Godfrey, hair tied into a sleek high ponytail and looked lost in thought.

”Don’t tell me you’re pregnant,” Christine said.

Isolde was flustered, turning to her mother with wide eyes at what she just said.

Pregnant?!

Christine chuckled and sipped from her cup before handing the other over to Isolde. ”That expression tells me you’ve both gone past that stage and more than once too.”

Isolde’s cheeks flushed a bright pink hue.

Christine sat on her favourite chair. She crossed her leg over the other, gently dropping her glass cup on the table.

”Don’t be embarrassed, I was the one that usually made the first move when I just got married to your father,” Christine said. As Christine spoke, Isolde’s eyes widened.

’Just like me huh?’ Christine laughed inwardly.

Isolde was so embarrassed her cheeks and ears became beet red. She quickly drank her fruit drink to calm herself.

What in the world was wrong with her mother?!

Well... she was the blunt type. Isolde couldn’t imagine the words her mother used when she wanted to be intimate with her father.

Watching her daughter puff her cheeks with the pomegranate juice, Christine smirked. ”You’re the one stirring up the dragon. You’ll come to regret it as I did. Once they toss away that virgin coat completely, you’ll be the one begging.”

PISH!!

The fruit juice sprayed out of Isolde’s mouth. She coughed nonstop as her mind ran wild with images of Godfrey that made her face hot.

”I personally squeezed that pomegranate. Don’t waste it,” Christine scolded softly as she took another sip. ”I married at your age but childbirth became a problem. It took us six years before we had you but since then, it hasn’t been possible anymore. According to the doctors, it was because my Symbiosis exceeded fifty percent, a part of me changed and it affected my fertility.”

A solemn expression fell on Isolde’s once flushed and charming face that could melt the heart of a man. Now it was one that realized something probably grave.

She understood what her mother meant. That she had to tell Godfrey of her own state since she also exceeded the fifty percent.

But it might be worse, now that her body was alchemically mutated and she bore the title of the mother of dragons, being connected to countless dragons, could she still bear a child when the time came when she wanted one?

What if Godfrey wanted one and she couldn’t provide?

”Calm down, honey. Godfrey has gone to great lengths for you, being childless won’t reduce his love for you. He’s like your father, only just more intense. He’s crazy over you but not the type to show it unless in certain circumstances like when you died. His pain was so heavy I could feel it weigh on my heart,” Christine said. Her eyes flashed. ”It was like a cloud of grief hovered around him.”

She muttered softly.

Isolde pressed her lips into a thin line.

A hundred miles away before the dormant draconic volcanoes that were an iconic trait of Pendragon Island, two dragons flew.

They burst through the white clouds. One had four wings and white fur instead of scales. She had golden horns and eyes. Also known as the most beautiful dragon alive.

This Saint Tier beast had a saddle but no rider. Its massive body soared above the white clouds. Its fur fluttered as it flew.

A much smaller black-scaled dragon, eighty-five feet long burst out from below, roaring softly as it bared its fangs playfully at the much larger chimeric dragon.

This white one, Shireen, roared back, hitting her tail lightly against the head of Geoffrey’s dragon before increasing her speed.

(A/N: Common pronunciation: Geoffrey = Jeffrey)

Both dragons were clearly friends returning from a hunt. The small black dragon chased after Shireen, quickly gaining on her.

But just then, Shireen roared, not a playful roar but a confused one as her wings ceased and folded inward against her will.

It was like something forcefully controlled her body.

Shireen plummeted, falling through the clouds. When she almost fell off the last layer of clouds, a much bigger dragon swooped up, chomping down on her neck!

This white dragon with red bone spikes was over sixty feet longer than Shireen and looked ferocious.

Shireen let out a cry as Dread clawed her chest with her neck at the mercy of his fangs and her head in a position where she couldn’t spit a black hole at him.

Before Dread could kill the white chimeric dragon, the black one engulfed Dread’s back with flames as it swooped down, clawing at Dread’s chest but its powerful claws couldn’t rip open through the huge dragon’s scales.

It was just a Throne Tier dragon and Dread was a peak level Origin Tier beast. The smaller dragon’s interference made Dread release Shireen.

She fell from the clouds, crashing into a thick forest. The fall cleared hundreds of trees.

Meanwhile, Dread roared at the small dragon that flew upward in order to get away from Dread.

It was smaller, it was faster and more agile. But Dread blinked, controlling the blood within the black dragon’s body.

It froze mid-air and began to fall.

Dread grabbed it and engulfed the small dragon with flames that cleared the clouds as it seemed the sky itself was unleashing flames on the earth.

When the flames died out, a burning dead dragon spiraled down leaving a huge trail of smoke from the sky down to where it crashed.

The flames spread out, burning the trees.

Dread roared and turned to its prime target but Shireen was gone. The depression of where she fell remained, she couldn’t fly either after such injuries.

There was only one explanation. It had been retrieved by its summoner.

Christine felt like a part of her was dying, forcing her to recall her summon. She opened a portal on the garden just beside the dining room but when Shireen fell out, bleeding profusely from her neck and chest, the glass cup fell from Christine’s hand, shattering into several pieces stained with scarlet pomegranate juice as the woman sprang to her feet.

Isolde’s lashes trembled. Lips parted into an ’o’ as shock drained the brightness from her face.
