Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights

Chapter 146: Orc Dungeon — Despair

These high orcs all wore massive armour plates with the tusks and horns of beasts protruding from the pauldrons. Their armour made them literal tanks.

Against the charge of red-skinned high orcs, bullets became useless. They bounced off their tough armour, so the Agents sent their Greyhounds to meet them.

Although the Greyhounds were fast and moved in groups, a swing of a high orc’s axe was all it took to rip them apart.

Only Dominic’s summon had the strength to handle these high orcs. It swatted them to the ground with heavy paw strikes, biting off their heads, but their numbers were great.

As it faced one orc after tossing another against a tree, a third high orc descended with a downward sweep of its axe, yet Dominic calculated it and shot the high orc right at its unprotected skull.

The orc fell only to rise back up. ’It’s not just their armour. Our bullets are useless against their skin.’

Realising this, Dominic manifested fangs and claws. His legs transformed into digitigrade legs as a deep growl came out of his mouth.

While he lunged into battle, Isadora’s sloth kept moving with increasing speed as its targets became weak. The high orcs were no exception.

Those around Isadora’s sloth found it easy to deal with the green-skinned and red-skinned orcs; as they became fatigued, their very weapons and armour caused their downfall.

However, it seemed as if they fought against an endless horde. Isadora lifted her eyes and saw a high orc cleave through the spider summon of one of her guild members!

She turned to the Esper and saw it still summoning more high orcs, and a lot more green skin as well. It grew thinner, but before that skill killed the Esper, it would definitely crush them under the weight of a great orc army.

Rowan spotted the same thing as his own guild members fell to the orcs. His face hardened as he glared at the Esper.

”That orc!”

This was the first time he had encountered an Esper. It was more intelligent than even the dreaded high orc shamans. This one acted as a wormhole, bringing an entire army wherever it was.

Should this thing enter the world, there would be mass deaths. If it wasn’t killed, they would be slaughtered.

”Black!” Rowan called out, and his black wyvern, being the biggest and strongest of the three, turned toward him before setting its reptilian eyes on the Esper.

It swung its tail, slapping lots of orcs away, before flapping its wings and soaring into the sky with its brothers. All three of them breathed flames toward the Esper. The air screamed as it was torn apart.

The thunderous whoosh of ignition followed as flames erupted from their mouths like a geyser. It swept through the ranks of the orcs like a furnace, eventually swallowing up the Esper.

It collapsed to its knees while burning.

”We won’t lose,” Rowan said firmly. His confidence strengthened the hearts of others as they celebrated their victory, but the moment they all arrived at the edge of the forest, their faces changed.

The earth sloped down into a vast expanse. A land without a single plant, like a cursed place, and this vast expanse was filled with orcs.

Their numbers were so great that no one could believe their eyes. The high orcs they faced in the hundreds existed here in the thousands.

In the heart of this great and mighty horde were two four-hundred-feet-tall trees, separated by less than ten feet. Their roots had become entwined, and the height of the roots above ground alone were as high as two and a half meters, so a staircase was built.

In between these two great trees, now dried up and stone-like, was a throne made of skulls, bones, and wood.

Seated on this throne was a grey-skinned orc, twelve feet tall should it stand. It had rings in its thick tusks and more in its lupine ears. It wore heavy armour and had its white hair plaited into thick braids.

The orcs were roaring. The roar of tens of thousands felt like a force of nature. They were all prepared for battle.

Upon seeing the size of the orc army, Isadora shivered with wide eyes. ”Good lord.”

Her shivering was a reaction from locking eyes with the Great Orc Chieftain, who roared at the top of his lungs, his voice sweeping through the expanse.

”Vulashki!!”

Fear sank deep into the hearts of the combatants. Some couldn’t even move as the Orc Chieftain’s aura felt heavy.

Dominic looked at the gauge he took from one of his men, and hope almost died out of his eyes.

”14.2 Throne Tier...” he gasped. When they were outside, the dungeon read 13.5, and seers had said it would be an orc dungeon, but none of them foresaw an army this great. They would have brought Amazon’s entire military and every combatant.

”A Throne Tier boss with a great army of Lord Tiers, High Tiers, and Elite Tiers,” Rowan said grimly as the great army now had their eyes on them. Their battle-hungry spirit flared up.

Isadora took a step backward. ”We can’t clear this dungeon. We would need more than what Amazon can offer to handle it! This is no different than a disaster-class red gate!”

”Try to stay alive. I have three king-tier wyverns, Black is almost at the peak, and I am a 13.1 Throne Tier.”

Rowan mounted his black wyvern. ”I’ll handle the boss. Set up defences to handle the horde,” he said as his wyvern flew, followed by the other two.

All three launched their greatest flames, a torrent of fire, into the horde before focusing on the throne. The trees were set ablaze and the stone staircase burned until it became stark white and fragile.

Rowan squinted as, from the hellish flames, a dark silhouette loomed. The Orc walked out of the flames, his muscular arms, uncovered by armour, stretching out as he faced his army.

”Baka Lushavi! Tishe akra bendavis!”

”Conquer, brothers! This is nothing!” the interpreter fell to her knees upon interpreting what the Great Orc Chieftain said. Not even the hottest flames of three king-tier wyverns made the boss feel worried.

The horde roared with excitement, and the strong ones amongst them, king tiers, launched spears into the air. The air tore apart, leaving ripples as the countless spears flew straight for the wyverns.

Despite breathing flames at the spears, the green wyvern was the first to fall as it was speared in the chest and three spears tore through its wings.

Rowan swiftly retrieved it before it was torn apart by the horde below. He also retrieved the other two, sprouting massive wings.

”You will die!” Rowan declared, activating a skill that caused flames swirling with yellow, blue, and purple to explode from him as he dived down.

The moment Rowan reached the Great Orc Chieftain, the flames erupted into a hurricane as he roared. It soared high, surpassing the clouds, and the heat wave even reached the guild members and agents.

Even the orcs paused, waiting to see the outcome.

The flame hurricane suddenly began to reduce until it was all absorbed by the Orc Chieftain, who then swung his axe, cutting off one of Rowan’s arms, faster than he could realise.

Due to the height difference, when the Orc Chieftain slammed his ironclad boot into Rowan, it was directly at his face, launching the guild president five hundred feet away.

From the Orc Chieftain’s feet to his waist, fiery veins glowed as flames billowed around these parts. His forearms were included.

It was obvious that the Orc Chieftain now had the wyverns’ breath in its body, making it stronger than when it had no element. This boss became an incarnation of death in the eyes of the combatants and agents as they watched the strongest amongst them, Amazon’s great guild president, struggle to move a muscle in his own pool of blood.

He was just a hair’s breadth away from death.

”We’re going to die!” someone exclaimed, watching the orcs swarm toward them while that boss loomed in the distance.

”Focus!” Dominic yelled as he and his men unleashed a rain of bullets on the orcs. ”At least kill some!”

Fear was in their hearts as they braced to face a horde of tens of thousands. This was death. They would all die in the most brutal way possible.

The interpreter, who had joined this raid happily, thinking she would be popular for going on a raid with the guild president of Pagoda Guild, was also sobbing.

Her parrot had no offensive or defensive capability; it was just a rare type that managed to reach the elite tier. Her tear-filled eyes cleared up a bit when she noticed someone walking out of the forest.

He had brought down his hood, but half his face was masked by a black face mask. His ocean-blue eyes met hers.

”Huh?”

She blinked several times as arrows came out of the forest, making a curve and piercing through the orcs, launching them back upon impact. Their power was even beyond that of the bullets.

A great number of thirteen-feet-tall cavalry trotted out of the forest, and behind them were tall spears wielded by golden knights, matching the size of the orcs.

”W...What’s this?!” Isadora panicked. None of this made sense. Was this some kind of double dungeon?!

If so, was that young man some kind of boss? If not, what was he doing before that intimidating army?

Where were those arrows coming from?! Nothing made sense here, but she felt deep within her that hope had arrived... with an army of golden knights and crimson chiefs and captains.
