I'm Ecstatic About Transmigrating Into a Novel As the Villainous Empress's Follower

309: Section 309Cao Yang looked unconcerned: ”What kind of status is it that even this Prince cannot covet?”

”Does Your Highness truly want to know?” Liu Ruxue narrowed her eyes.

”No.” Cao Yang shook his head.

”...” Liu Ruxue was instantly rendered speechless. She had completely not expected this. Cao Yang was not playing by the rules!

”Stop putting on an act in front of this Prince.” Cao Yang glanced at her, losing his patience: ”Either you fulfill your previous promise and serve this Prince well, or you can just wait for the Liu family to be destroyed...”

”I am a trusted secret guard of Your Majesty.” Liu Ruxue finally stopped playing coy and said it herself.

”And so?” Cao Yang was not the least bit surprised.

”Therefore...”

”I cannot grant Your Highness’s wish...”

”Otherwise—”

”If Your Majesty’s grand plan is ruined, I fear that is not something Your Highness can bear!” Liu Ruxue’s expression was cold.

”Heh...”

”Don’t think too highly of yourself!” Cao Yang sneered: ”Your Majesty merely had you infiltrate Li Yunxing’s side to monitor this useless prince...”

”Since Your Highness knows.”

”Then you should understand the importance of this matter!” Liu Ruxue said coldly: ”Li Yunxing is currently the last pure Bloodline of the Li Imperial Clan. Your Highness should understand that his status is of great importance!”

”What does that have to do with you?” A playful look appeared in Cao Yang’s eyes.

”I am his wife!” Liu Ruxue said sternly: ”If Your Highness touches me, are you not afraid of his resentment?”

”Not afraid.” A playful smirk touched the corner of Cao Yang’s mouth. When has This Cao ever been afraid?

”Even if Your Highness does not care about Li Yunxing!”

”But—”

”Do you not care about Your Majesty’s decree?”

”I hope Your Highness will not ruin yourself by spoiling Your Majesty’s grand plan!” Seeing that Cao Yang remained unmoved, Liu Ruxue brought out the Empress as a shield once again.

”You have the nerve to mention Your Majesty?”

”Isn’t it you, Liu Ruxue, who has truly ruined Your Majesty’s grand plan?” Cao Yang said indifferently.

Liu Ruxue narrowed her eyes: ”Ruxue does not understand what Your Highness means by this?”

”Stop pretending—”

”Do you think the Embroidered Uniform Guard under this Prince are pushovers?”

”Your Majesty had you monitor this useless prince, Li Yunxing.”

”But what have you done?”

”Let me ask you, Li Yunxing has been secretly communicating with the Underworld Agents and harbors restless intentions. Have you ever reported this to Your Majesty?”

”You, Liu Ruxue—”

”Have already betrayed Your Majesty...!” Cao Yang’s gaze sharpened. His voice was like a ghost from the underworld.

Hearing this, Liu Ruxue was instantly shocked!

”Now...”

”What else do you have to say?” Cao Yang looked at her coldly.

Silence. A long silence from Liu Ruxue. Betraying the Empress was an indisputable fact. She had not expected that the Embroidered Uniform Guard, which Cao Yang had only recently established, would have such heaven-defying means, capable of uncovering even such secret intelligence.

”This Prince will give you two choices:”

”First, serve me well!”

”Not only can you exchange that for the peace of the Liu family, but this Prince will also act as if I know nothing about your betrayal of Your Majesty, or Li Yunxing’s secret contact with the Underworld Agents!”

”As for the second!”

”This Prince will report this matter to Your Majesty!”

”By then, not only will your Liu family face an annihilating disaster, but that useless prince, Li Yunxing, will also not be spared!” Cao Yang said leisurely, handing the choice to Liu Ruxue.

After all—This Cao—never forces others against their will...!

”I am Li Yunxing’s wife.”

”I cannot betray him.” Liu Ruxue shook her head: ”I ask that Your Highness change the conditions...!”

”Do you think this Prince’s place is a vegetable market?”

”And that you can bargain here?” Cao Yang said coldly.

Liu Ruxue’s face was full of defiance: ”Then please forgive Ruxue for being unable to comply!”

”So...”

”You have chosen the destruction of the Liu family and the death of Li Yunxing?” Cao Yang narrowed his eyes.

”No...!” Liu Ruxue shook her head. She loved Li Yunxing deeply. She did not want to betray him! But she also could not stand by and watch the Liu family be destroyed, or have Li Yunxing’s restless intentions exposed and become intolerable to the Empress!
