Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2098: Chapter 2107: No Meeting Before the Wedding

Enna Clark had just stepped out of the elevator when she received an apology text from Tiffany Clifford.

In the message, she apologized for her mother-in-law’s rash request for Enna’s help and asked Enna not to take her mother-in-law’s words to heart. She had already explained to her mother-in-law that it wouldn’t happen again.

Enna didn’t expect Tiffany to know about it so quickly and to text her.

She really hadn’t held it against the old lady and understood the parents’ wish for their children to have better lives. It’s just that she didn’t know Tiffany’s husband’s work capability well and wasn’t comfortable casually introducing him to the Lawrence Family. That top wealthy family, if one’s abilities aren’t sufficient, even if they got in, they’d be ostracized to a point where they couldn’t stay.

Enna was afraid Tiffany would overthink it, so she hurriedly replied to her message.

Just as she sent her reply to Tiffany, her phone rang.

She saw the caller ID and immediately knew who it was.

She answered the call and put the phone to her ear, ”Hello, Baron Lawrence?”

”Where are you?” The person on the other end asked crisply, without any unnecessary words!

Enna glanced around and said, ”At the hotel. I just picked up Sister Tiffany and the others and dropped them off. Now I’m getting ready to go back and try on the wedding veil.”

Since the wedding was approaching, Baron Lawrence was strongly urged by Old Master Lawrence to move back to the mansion, so since yesterday, they hadn’t been living together.

”What about you?” She felt it was necessary to show some concern for what he was doing.

Honestly, she was already used to having this man around at all times.

When he suddenly wasn’t at Birch Garden yesterday, she felt a little uneasy.

It even made her son Bobby give her several disdainful looks, commenting on how absent-minded she seemed.

Apparently, Enna’s concern was well received by him. The person on the other end of the phone sounded a bit pleased, ”In the City Center.”

”Enna Clark, I’ll send you the address, come over. I need to see you!”

I need to see you!

He said it naturally and dominantly.

Enna tightened her grip on the phone, feeling swayed, but hesitated and said, ”Didn’t Grandpa say it’s best for us not to see each other before the wedding?”

This seemed to be a pre-wedding custom here in Country W.

The custom of not meeting each other three days before the wedding,

is said to help maintain freshness in the marriage for a long time.

Baron Lawrence dismissed this, ”That’s just an old superstition from the older generation. You actually believe that? Enna Clark, are you a pig?”

”What does freshness have to do with not seeing each other for these three days? Not seeing each other in these three days guarantees freshness? Hah, if I don’t like someone, three seconds is too much. If I like someone, three lifetimes isn’t enough! Enna Clark, you’re the latter! So, I won’t lose my freshness for you just because of some so-called old superstitions from the old man. If I were going to lose freshness for you, it would’ve happened long ago, no need to wait until now. Come quickly, I’m waiting for you!”

If I were going to lose freshness for you, it would’ve happened long ago, no need to wait until now!

Though it seemed devoid of romance, it had a kind of Baron Lawrence-style romantic flair.

Enna couldn’t help but smile and agreed, ”Okay, I’ll have the driver take me over, just wait for me.”

Besides, they already have Bobby and Gigi.

Even though they were apart for a few years, they’re together now.

If Baron Lawrence were really going to lose freshness for her, not seeing him now wouldn’t stop him from changing his heart.

So, there’s no need to worry about the future.
