Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1943: Chapter 1953: Sudden Incident!

Something happened halfway through Enna Clark’s meeting.

First, the secretary hurriedly came in, whispered something in her ear, and Enna’s face changed as she stopped the meeting.

After everyone had left, she asked the secretary, ”What’s going on?”

The secretary was on the verge of tears, anxiously saying, ”I don’t know either, it was only after the journalists outside called that I found out about it.”

It was only after the journalists outside called that she found out... Enna took a deep breath, her expression serious, ”What about the families of the casualties? Has anyone been sent to the hospital?”

”Not... not yet.” The secretary was already in a state of panic when she got the news, unable to think of anything else.

She immediately ran to find her.

No one could have imagined that half an hour ago they were still talking about the Knotwell Group people wanting to invite a representative to dinner, and in the blink of an eye, there was a problem with the mall renovation project.

It happened at the reopening of the mall when the decoration outside the renovated part fell and killed someone.

An accident that results in fatalities is definitely a major incident!

Therefore, she hurriedly ran to find a representative to discuss this matter.

Without a second thought, Enna directly instructed, ”Arrange for the logistics team to go to the hospital, first to comfort the families and the injured, cover all needed medical expenses!”

”Yes, I’ll arrange it right away.” With Enna taking charge, the secretary felt much calmer and quickly ran out to make arrangements.

The assistant also came in at this time, looking equally anxious, and said to Enna, ”Representative, a lot of journalists have suddenly gathered outside the company, demanding that you go out and give an explanation. What do you think...”

Enna felt like her head was splitting; she hadn’t expected such a big incident to happen just after she returned to Linton City, and at exactly this moment. But now was not the time for doubts; the most urgent thing was to solve the problem. She collected herself and calmly arranged, ”Have someone from the Public relations department come to my office.”

”Yes, I’ll call them.”

The assistant used the internal phone line to call the Public relations department, and after hanging up, looked up and said to Enna, ”The people from the Public relations department are coming over right away.”

Enna had calmed down considerably, quickly saying, ”Tell me everything about the mall incident from start to finish, in detail.”

”Okay.”

The assistant recounted the mall incident from beginning to end.

Rhine is a petroleum company, and aside from petroleum, it also has investment projects. The large mall in Linton City where the incident occurred is one of Rhine’s investment projects.

The mall is the second largest in Linton City, with a large area and many retail stores, and it’s located in the City Center, so it usually has a lot of foot traffic.

A while ago, the decorative structures in the mall’s exterior plaza became old and needed to be demolished and rebuilt.

The mall management submitted a request to Rhine, and the company went through the procedures as required. But at the last step, the construction company that had previously partnered with Rhine on the mall was suddenly facing financial issues and was under investigation. In the short term, they definitely couldn’t take on the renovation project, and the mall couldn’t remain closed until after the investigation was complete to start construction. So, the Project Department had to find a few other companies.

Since it was a temporary project, among the companies at the time, only Knotwell had sufficient manpower and materials. After Rhine’s inspection, they decided to collaborate with Knotwell.
