Star Martial Era: The Way of Star Light Cultivation

Chapter 1456: Chapter 584: The Secret of Upgrade (2)

Xu Jin attempted once more to integrate more of the Heaven and Earth Star Will.

But it was futile; the aura no longer changed.

It felt as though it had reached a balance, any more would result in an explosion.

What’s missing?

Without any usable Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures at hand, Xu Jin planned to abandon it.

After all, the power had increased, and now this Ink Jade Armor should be considered a top-grade Seven-Star Spiritual Treasure; its defensive power strengthened, with no resources wasted.

But just as he was about to give up, Xu Jin suddenly recalled the Wood Spirit he exchanged for previously.

”Why not give it a try?”

”It’s only a hundred points; if it successfully upgrades, it would be a significant gain. An Eight-Star Spiritual Treasure, even a low-grade one, costs two thousand points.”

”It might just lead me to a path of fortune.”

Xu Jin convinced himself.

As his thoughts moved, the Wood Spirit he had just placed into Sumeru Space was retrieved by Xu Jin and placed into the Melting Lamp Flame on the Candou Platform.

Theoretically, three Wood Spirits and one Earth Spirit would be best.

But if that’s required for upgrading, it’s too extravagant, and Xu Jin doesn’t have them at the moment.

The Ink Jade Armor is of the Wood Series; if it’s effective, one Wood Spirit might just suffice for the upgrade.

Under the burning of the Lamp Flame, the fresh green Wood Spirit directly drilled into the Ink Jade Armor, and instantly the aura within the armor seemed to come alive, the green flow circulated.

At the same time, on the Candou Platform, starlight fell one after another, continuously being refined into the Ink Jade Armor.

Each piece of starlight represented a vast amount of Star Power.

And the aura emanating from the Ink Jade Armor kept ascending.

In the next instant, as if filled with starlight, a touch of green enveloped the entire Ink Jade Armor from inside out, making the starlight it emitted more restrained, and the green deeper.

Its aura changed.

With a slight sense, Xu Jin’s eyes revealed a look of delight.

Upgrade successful.

It’s now a low-grade Eight-Star Spiritual Treasure.

He successfully upgraded the top-grade Seven-Star Ink Jade Armor to a low-grade Eight-Star Ink Jade Armor.

Combined with Xu Jin’s Star Power and defensive methods, he could easily withstand attacks from experts at the mid to late period of the Eighth Tier.

Perhaps only experts at the Eighth Tier Peak and Ninth Tier could potentially destroy the low-grade Eight-Star Ink Jade Armor fully activated by Xu Jin.

In the future, if there are more points, Xu Jin even plans to exchange more Wood Spirits and Earth Spirits to see if he can upgrade the Ink Jade Armor to middle-grade or even top-grade.

In any case, this is much more cost-effective than exchanging through the Thousand Star Token.

A set of low-grade Eight-Star Spirit Armor requires two thousand points.

Unfortunately, the recycling price is only a thousand points.

Otherwise, Xu Jin could even earn a wave of points from this.

But even with this recycling price, it’s not impossible.

If Xu Jin captures top-grade Seven-Star Spiritual Treasures in the future, upgrades them to Eight-Star then sells, he could exchange for some points.

Though there is an opportunity to reap benefits.

After all, the consumption of starlight isn’t much; looking at both Spiritual Treasures upgrading, the starlight used was less than five hundred strands.

Star Artifacts and Spiritual Treasures can be upgraded; what about Spiritual Medicines?

Since the Star Lamp can nurture a Fifth or Sixth Tier Spiritual Medicine to its peak, could it upgrade them?

Soon enough, Xu Jin began trying very aggressively.

Currently, there are plenty of Fourth and Fifth Tier Spiritual Medicines, wasting one or two isn’t an issue.

An hour later, Xu Jin arrived at a conclusion.

The result was pleasing.

Upgrading Spiritual Medicines was simpler than Xu Jin imagined.

A Fourth Tier Spiritual Medicine only requires refining two or three specific attribute special rhymes to upgrade.

For a Fifth Tier Spiritual Medicine to ascend to Sixth Tier, it requires integrating at least ten special rhymes.

A Sixth Tier Spiritual Medicine that wants to upgrade to Seventh Tier, however, requires corresponding Heaven and Earth Star Will.

However, this upgrading is not infinitely scalable.

A native Fourth Tier Spiritual Medicine can be upgraded to Fifth Tier using the Candou Platform.

Yet a Fifth Tier medicine upgraded through the Candou Platform cannot continue to Sixth Tier.

But a native Fifth Tier Spiritual Medicine can be refined to upgrade to Sixth Tier.

Decent functionality, but not greatly useful.

A Seventh Tier Spiritual Medicine, for Xu Jin, its efficacy is similar to a few Seventh-Tier Purification Pearls.

Certainly, using them to exchange points is quite reasonable.

But the Divine Soul Type Spiritual Medicine with real value to Xu Jin cannot be refined for upgrading.

To be precise, the Divine Soul Type Spiritual Medicine cannot be refined for upgrading because Xu Jin lacks the Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures for it.

There’s no choice but to give up.

[Your Highness, King of Territory, we have arrived at the White Deer Star Domain; how should we proceed, please instruct us.]

Suddenly, Xu Jin’s Mandarin Duck Seal received a message; it was the cultivator dispatched by the State Preceptor to take over this Sixth Tier Star Domain who had arrived.

With a slight sense, Xu Jin found their location.

Leading them was an elder with half-white hair and beard, nearly seventy years old.

He was from within the Chen Country’s National Taoist Institute, a cultivator who had failed in breaking through to the Seventh Tier; now voluntarily assigned by the State Preceptor to take over this Sixth Tier Star Domain.

”Are you ready?”

”Your Highness, King of Territory, we are ready.”

”You won’t regret it?”

”Stagnating half a life, now with Your Highness’ help to break through Seventh Tier, I can hold a position for Dachen and bring honor and benefits to my family, it’s worth it.

Absolutely no regrets!” said the elder.

”Good.”

With these words, Xu Jin casually tossed out two-thirds of the White Deer Star Domain’s Heaven and Earth Authority for him to refine.

Refining two-thirds of the Heaven and Earth Authority will make him a favored child of this realm, and with Xu Jin’s assistance, breaking through the Seventh Tier will be relatively easier.
