Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 2157: Chapter 2166: Maybe I Really Am Overthinking It

Lin Anxin had been talking to Kim Zhixuan for quite a while and noticed Chi Enen was still staring in the direction the car had just driven off. She couldn’t help but tap her, ”Enen, what are you looking at?”

Chi Enen withdrew her gaze, ”...Nothing.”

Lin Anxin eyed her and asked, ”Aren’t you still thinking about that matter just now?”

Chi Enen remained silent, ”...”

”You really are thinking about it.” Seeing her really still pondering over the matter, Lin Anxin pressed her arm to comfort her, ”Don’t think about it. It’s surely just me overthinking. Maybe they were simply there to pick up a friend, and we happened to encounter them. Otherwise, maybe I mistook it, and the two cars weren’t the same.”

At first, she too suspected someone might be following them, but the foreign couple who had walked toward the car looked quite natural, as if the man was simply waiting for the woman to come over with a drink.

Her doubts naturally subsided.

After all, there’s hardly that much stalking, perhaps it’s just her occupational sensitivity, being followed by Paparazzi too often, making her skeptical of everything.

”It’s fine, the car has left, hasn’t it? Don’t think so much, just act like I didn’t say anything. Had I known you’d be bothered, I wouldn’t have said it in the first place.”

It was just a misunderstanding, and Enen was unnecessarily made uneasy by her words.

Lin Anxin silently resolved not to be so startling next time.

Under her persuasion, Chi Enen gradually relaxed, ”Mm, I understand. I just have a strange feeling.”

”What kind of feeling?”

”It’s like when you mentioned the car, my heart skipped a beat. Even though the car has already left, I still feel weird about it, yet I can’t pinpoint what’s strange.”

Seeing she hadn’t let it go, Lin Anxin patted her arm and smiled brightly, ”There’s nothing strange. It’s most likely just a coincidence we ran into a foreign couple. That’s normal. The man drives to pick up the woman. Even if the two cars were the same, it can be explained. We ran into the car for the first time in the city center; the person might’ve gone to buy a gift for his girlfriend. Running into the car here means he came over after getting the gift.”

Chi Enen still furrowed her eyebrows.

Anxin’s explanation made sense. If considering Anxin’s explanation, it indeed holds up with no suspicious elements.

Yet she still felt something was off.

”Alright, stop thinking about it. You’re just thinking divergently because of how I scared you before. Maybe it wasn’t even the same car.”

Lin Anxin didn’t know how to comfort her anymore, so she called upon Kim Zhixuan.

”Zhixuan, you agree, right?”

Kim Zhixuan quickly nodded, ”Yes, I agree. Miss Chi don’t overthink, don’t make yourself too tense.”

With both of them putting it that way, Chi Enen felt too embarrassed to show more concern over this minor episode. Though she still felt odd, she refrained from saying more. She nodded, ”Maybe I’m overthinking. It’s nothing, I’ll go check on Baby Chi.”

”Go ahead.” Seeing she wasn’t hung up over the matter, Lin Anxin generously waved her off.

Chi Enen ordered an iced orange juice, carrying the drink, she walked towards the dazzling young boy, who was more radiant than the beach’s sunlight—

”Baby.”

The young boy, fixated on a local artist, turned his head upon seeing her, and responded with a soft ”Mm”.
