Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 1156: Chapter 1156: Unilaterally Announcing a Relationship Without Planning to Take Responsibility

Si Chen saw that she finally agreed to listen, and a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, making the cheeks of the front desk secretary blush. Yet, he didn’t notice at all, his gaze was extremely gentle as he looked out the window and softly said, ”Next time, before you do something, don’t be so impulsive. Discuss it with me first. I’ll help you clear any obstacles.”

She was a popular female celebrity. To suddenly make public her relationship with him so abruptly, and even release such bombshell photos, the commotion it caused was imaginable.

Her actions were a bit too impulsive. If she had discussed it with him beforehand, he could have had public relations plan out a solution and then announce the relationship in a more tactful and publicly acceptable way.

This would have had a smaller impact on her career.

Instead of abruptly announcing it like this, the movie she was filming in Country W had to be paused to temporarily avoid the heat from the Paparazzi.

”I don’t need you to clear the way; I can handle it myself.” Lin Anxin couldn’t help but feel her heart flutter hearing his gentle voice, but the next moment, she remembered all the past events, and the flutter disappeared, ”I know the consequences of my own actions, and I can bear them.”

She took a deep breath, her tone became rebellious, ”You should worry about how you’ll explain this sudden announcement to your family. Let me make it clear, you’re my Financer, and we agreed on the terms from the beginning. I only handle things on your end, not with your family. Don’t let your mom, older or younger sister, or anyone like that come to me. I can’t handle it. You know my temper, and if I accidentally lose my composure, fainting from rage, don’t come holding me accountable. So, it’s best to keep your relatives far away from me.”

”What do you mean?” Si Chen sensed something was off, ”Did you announce our relationship without planning to meet my family?”

”Announcing a relationship is one thing, and meeting the family is another. Right now, you’re my Financer; we also have a contract relationship for three months. You’re originally my temporary Financer plus boyfriend, but temporary doesn’t mean in the future. Meeting your family now isn’t quite right.”

How could Si Chen not understand her meaning? It was precisely because he understood that his face turned ashen with anger, and the smile on his handsome face disappeared completely, ”Lin Anxin, are you intending not to take responsibility?”

He phrased it as a question but used an accusatory, affirmative tone.

She unilaterally announced the relationship, then unilaterally told him she only made the relationship public, and the future is uncertain.

If this isn’t refusing to take responsibility, then what is?

Why did she risk announcing the relationship if she didn’t plan to take responsibility?

Does she still want to be in the entertainment circle?

Si Chen was so enraged that he felt dizzy and wanted to hang up the phone in a huff, but then he remembered seeing her pale, weakened face after her miscarriage in the hospital, and the impulse to sulk vanished instantly. He took a few deep breaths to steady his erratic chest, ignoring the flirtatious glances thrown by the front desk secretary, and took a step forward, ”Forget it. If you don’t want to meet now, then don’t. But, Lin Anxin, I need to remind you. We are not temporarily a couple. Even if it’s as you said, a temporary one, it’s the kind of temporary that lasts a lifetime! Now, and in the future, it won’t change!”

Lin Anxin remained silent; whether she took it to heart was unknown.

Si Chen wished she wouldn’t speak, lest she’d set him off again, ”Remember to reply to the agent. I’ll head straight to the hotel to find you after I get off the airplane. Don’t cause any more trouble before I arrive.”
