Chapter 1034, The Small Beast Leads the Way

Within the darkness.

Tens of thousands of coffins, each about ten metres in size, stood upright within. Upon the coffins, obscure patterns proliferated, emanating a powerful fluctuation.

“Why are over ten thousand Saints buried here? Who laid down the Arrays on their coffins?” Qin Yichen felt that too many doubts in his heart remained unanswered. Not far from the Human Race’s Saints Heavenly City, such a strange place actually existed!

If these coffins all erupted, probably Saints Heavenly City would be destroyed in an instant. Even the entire Human Race and nearby Foreign Race territories would not be able to avoid a disaster.

However, no one could answer these doubts for him.

“How can I get out?” Qin Yichen shook his head slightly, temporarily setting aside these unanswerable matters, instead considering his own predicament.

Although he had now passed through that territory filled with Yin Energy, this place seemed even more strange than the area before. Moreover, that patch of darkness he had thought was an exit, was a place he simply couldn’t enter!

Just now, merely entering a few metres into it, Qin Yichen felt an obscure yet powerful fluctuation surge toward him. If he had not retreated in time, he probably would have suffered significant injuries.

Most critically, regarding what dangers lurked within that dark territory, he knew absolutely nothing!

If he suffered injuries inside and lost his ability to fight, he would only become a corpse.

A place burying over ten thousand Saints. Probably a wisp of energy from them, even if he employed all his methods, was not something he could resist.

Qin Yichen’s gaze swept left and right, trying to find a route that could bypass this dark territory. However, to his disappointment, from his current perspective, aside from this patch of darkness and the supremely evil land behind him, there seemed to be no other exit.

*Yiya!*

While Qin Yichen pondered bitterly, the small beast in his bosom leapt onto his shoulder. Its mouth muttered unclearly as its two small paws continuously pointed toward that dark territory.

Qin Yichen even seemed to detect a look of anticipation on this small beast’s face.

“You… what do you want to do?” Qin Yichen blinked, asking somewhat bewildered.

*Yiya yiya…*

The small beast gestured with bared teeth and claws. After a long while, seeing Qin Yichen’s completely bewildered expression, its body slumped, as if feeling it was casting pearls before swine, wasting effort.

*Ya… ya…*

Suddenly, the small beast opened its small mouth, pointing at that dark territory, then pointing at its own mouth.

“You mean…” Qin Yichen’s pupils contracted, a trace of surprise flashing in his eyes.

*Yiya yiya!* The small beast excitedly nearly jumped up, as though saying, ‘this fellow finally understood what I mean.’

“You’re hungry?” Qin Yichen blinked, saying somewhat incredulously.

In his impression, this small beast seemed like it did not consume worldly morsels, never having been seen requesting food.

Well, it did last time eat the self-detonation energy of a Martial Emperor, and also absorbed that Hundredth Refined Gold Light in the Brilliant Sky Sacred Lake… Other times, it just lay in his bosom sleeping soundly.

“…” Watching Qin Yichen’s astonished expression, the small beast could not help rolling its eyes. In its heart, it couldn’t help thinking, [How could this fellow be so stupid?]

At this moment, the small beast seemed too lazy to explain anything to him. Its form moved, actually jumping down from Qin Yichen’s body. Bouncing and hopping, after several leaps, it entered the dark zone.

“Hey hey… don’t rush in recklessly!” Seeing this, Qin Yichen immediately shouted loudly. Then his foot stamped down as he hurriedly gave chase, wanting to pull the small beast out from within.

He had not failed to understand the small beast’s earlier actions. He knew there must be something inside attracting the small beast. However, the situation here was simply world-shaking. He did not want to venture inside and explore.

What if it triggered some Restriction? He would not be able to withstand it.

*Yiya! Yiya!” Seeing Qin Yichen had entered, the small beast called to him twice. However, it showed no sign of stopping, directly charging toward the depths of the darkness.

“Little Grey, stop!” Seeing this, Qin Yichen couldn’t help his mouth twitching. This fellow’s courage was somewhat too great.

However, now there were no other exits. It seemed aside from searching inside here, there was no alternative.

After pondering briefly, Qin Yichen gritted his teeth and steeled himself to follow.

What surprised him somewhat was that at some point, the small beast’s fur seemed to have become much glossier. In this darkness, it was like a lamp, enveloping his form as well.

That previously powerful fluctuation seemingly couldn’t penetrate through this radiance. This actually made Qin Yichen less uncomfortable than before.

Soon, a coffin appeared before Qin Yichen. Watching that small beast dash past brazenly without the slightest concern, Qin Yichen’s heart couldn’t help clenching.

[I hope this won’t trigger anything inside.] Qin Yichen prayed silently in his heart, then tiptoed past the coffin’s side.

*Yiya! Yiya!* As if dissatisfied with Qin Yichen’s speed, the small beast called to him somewhat impatiently twice.

“Shh… keep it down!” Qin Yichen’s mouth twitched as he made a silencing gesture.

The latter tilted its head, seemingly not understanding his meaning. After rolling its eyes at him, it continued charging forward.

“So fierce. Could it really have some method to deal with this?” Qin Yichen blinked, thinking thus in his heart, finally gaining a trace of security.

Thereafter, one person and one beast shuttled through the darkness, passing by coffin after coffin.

Proceeding thus, who knows how long passed. The small beast’s eyes seemed to already have fervent light flickering within. Originally, when it saw coffins, it would pass by their sides. But now it seemed to have no wariness whatsoever, directly jumping over coffins blocking its path.

Regarding this, Qin Yichen could only shake his head with a bitter smile. He himself still walked extremely carefully, fearing to disturb the souls within the coffins.

*Tap!* As the small beast once again stepped upon a coffin, suddenly a change occurred. Patterns flowed across that coffin, and what seemed like an eyeball manifested upon it.

The eyelid opened. That eye had no pupil. It was completely white. At this moment, it happened to stare at Qin Yichen running over.

As if seeing a living being intrude here, that large eye on the coffin widened even more. Then the entire coffin began trembling violently.

With the disturbance here, on the surrounding coffins, large eyes also gradually manifested, their gazes all looking toward Qin Yichen.

“Run!” Being watched by these eyes, Qin Yichen only felt hair-raisingly terrified. Then his foot suddenly stamped down, his speed abruptly accelerating.
