What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

“So… That happened…” I muttered to the prince as the assassins disappeared. “Does this happen often?”

He shook his head, “Definitely not… And definitely never on this scale either. Who are these people?”

“I was hoping you would answer that instead… They were using Shadow Summons and there were a lot of them as well. I thought that under normal circumstances, only one can be summoned per summoner, right?”

He shrugged, “I’m not that well versed with magic to begin with so I wouldn’t know about that. Is that how it works?”

I turned back to Lisa and she nodded, “Under normal circumstances, that should be the case… I do not believe all of these Shadow Summons are from the same person, however.”

I frowned, “You’re telling me that they got an entire small army of assassins that are able to use Shadow Summons specifically to try and assassinate the prince?”

“It is indeed a possibility… Otherwise, they somehow managed to bypass the limit for the single summon of that magic which I believe is less possible.”

So basically finding a large number of people who can use the Shadow Summon spell has a higher possibility than bypassing the spell’s limit huh…

Now I’m really wondering just how big of an oddity I really was…

I turned back to the prince, “That means there’s a large group of people who want you dead. Any idea who it could be? There’s no way an entire group would just appear out of nowhere, right?”

He opened his mouth before shutting it and furrowing his brows, pausing to think for a moment while he surveyed the area where the assassins used to be.

“I would have said I don’t know… But there are two groups of people who may benefit from me perishing…”

“Does this have to do with the Nomads and the City dwellers?”

He nodded, “If we were to take into consideration the fact that both sides have extremist groups… They would be the prime suspects…”

Great… So it really is because of them…

“Is there a specific organisation on both sides or are they just a random collective of people?” I asked.

“There is indeed an organisation on both sides that organises all of them together… On the Nomads side, they call themselves the ’Wanderer Guides’ and on the City dwellers side, there’s the ’Progressive Collective’. Both of them have been designated as extremist groups however so normal people treat them as criminals since both groups have resorted to terror attacks.”

So basically… They are terrorist groups… Great…

“And why weren’t they dealt with since you’ve already labelled them as criminals? Are they in hiding or something?” I pointed out.

He nodded, “While we know of their existence, we don’t know where they are located nor who their members are. All of them are also fanatical enough that they would rather kill themselves than risk capture. And the ones we did manage to capture revealed nothing even up to their deaths.”

Damn… This is basically a cult then…

Wait a minute…

I turned to the side and called out, “Katsuki?”

“I am here, Mistress,” My always reliable maid appeared beside me.

“What do we know about the Wanderer’s Guides and the Progressive Collective? Heck, do we even know who was responsible for the attack earlier?”

She bowed her head, “I do not have the information right now, Mistress, but would you like me to find out?”

I was about to tell her to go ahead but then I realised something and paused.

Hold on… This couldn’t be another plan of theirs, could they?

The Royal Family here must see these two groups as a problem that they want to get rid of but they aren’t able to get rid of them because they are hidden too well.

And perhaps they don’t have a good enough spy network to find these groups to get rid of them so maybe they are looking for someone else with more resources to help them get rid of these guys?

In other words… Were they hoping that by getting me involved in this, they could have me mobilise the Nilm Family’s resources to help them deal with this problem and they don’t even need to lift a finger or pay anything?

I could be wrong but… I’ve already been fooled by them twice, I’m not going to risk myself being used for a third time.

“Hold off on that first,” I answered Katsuki before turning to the prince. “Prince Hisami?”

The prince raised an eyebrow at me, “What’s with the sudden formality?”

“That’s because this is important. I’m going to ask you this question and I want you to answer me honestly without any deception. Do you know which noble family I am the heir of?”

He blinked for a moment before shaking his head, “I apologise if this is something I’m expected to know but… I do not.”

Ok, that means that the prince might just be a victim as well… If I had to guess, it’s his parents who set this up though I don’t have proof of that at the moment.

But if that was really the case, it meant that they made use of their own son just to get me involved huh? And they even put him at risk of getting killed by the assassins too…

Would they really make use of anything just to get what they want?

Well, let’s not jump to conclusions yet, let’s make sure that this was really the case first.

“I suppose we should cut this tour short, Prince Hisami, since it’s no longer safe here.”

I was expecting him to agree with me but unexpectedly, he did not.

“E… Eh? Wait… Didn’t we already deal with them anyway? So it’s fine right? There’s no need to cut this short, right?”

I narrowed my eyes at him, “Prince Hisami… you were almost assassinated… We don’t even know if they have more ambushes prepared for us. It’s not safe for you to be out here right now. We should return to the palace and get you to safety.”

“But… If I were to just get more guards that should be fine right? There’s no need for us to cancel this dat– Err… This tour!”

Why is he so desperate to continue this? Is it because he doesn’t get chances like this to leave the palace and he wants to make full use of the time he was given to explore outside?

I suppose I can understand that but I would think that your own safety takes precedence right now, don’t you think?

I gave him a serious look, “Prince Hisami, I do not want to be responsible for your death if we fail to protect you. I’m pretty sure if you were to actually get killed here, the entire city would be thrown into an uproar and we would like to make sure that doesn’t happen. So I highly suggest that we escort you back to the palace right now. Besides, there’s some things that I want to ask the King and Queen about this situation as well.”

“Eh? You’ll be escorting me back?”

“Of course? No offense to your guards but I think they need all the help they can get in case the assassins show up again.”

“O… Oh. In that case… Sure thing! I will be in your care, Lady Aster!”

Huh… His attitude did a complete one eighty for some reason… I was prepared to get his guards involved just to convince him but that seemed to have convinced him somehow?

Well, it works in my favour anyway so I’m not going to complain so I got all of my girls together and we started to head back towards the palace.

Along the way, I instructed Katsuki to find out who was behind this as well as the location of those two supposed terrorist groups.

She assured me that she will have all the information by tomorrow before she disappeared, most likely to gather the information I requested.

At least… That’s what I thought but she reappeared again after a moment.

I actually thought she had the information already but she explained that she only went off to check something and will get me the information tomorrow.

Taking one day to gather this information was already impressive so I wasn’t going to ask for more.

In the meantime, all of us stayed vigilant in case those assassins returned but thankfully, nothing happened and we managed to reach the palace safely.

For our private audience with the King and Queen, I would have to proceed alone so I had to leave my girls waiting in a guest room while I followed Prince Hisami into the upper floors of the palace.

No problem, just let me… Ah yes, Eins. Go ahead and tell them. Thanks~

I then followed the prince to the private room and when he slid open the door where his parents were supposed to be, however, we were met with a sight that made my jaw drop.

The King was currently kneeling in front of the Queen and the Queen was… Well… She was ramming her cock in and out of his mouth…

What the hell did we just walk in on?!!
