What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

“I’m telling you, I can never get the lighting right! Look here! If I put the light over here it would emphasise too much on her face but then draw attention away from her shoulders! Yet if I shift the light here, it would put too much attention on her hips and then ignore her face!”

“Hmm… Hmm… I see the problem, your skills are still lacking in the area where you have to be able to show everything perfectly but in order to do that, you also need to be able to paint everything perfectly as well.”

“Now you’re getting the problem I’m facing! There’s no way I am letting this chance go! I have to work to make myself perfect and paint the perfect painting of her before I can even leave!”

“Yes. I see now, I see now. This is certainly a really big problem. But how is she able to be this perfect? Is she… Ah, she’s an Off-Worlder I see. Then if she were able to craft this body herself…”

I cleared my throat, “Ahem… Are you two done?”

“Huaaaa?!”

“Woaaaah?!”

For some reason, the both of them who had been inspecting the paintings and me the entire time but the moment I start talking, they cry out in surprise.

“How are you able to move in this suspended space?!” The goddess cried out, finally addressing me directly.

I looked around us, “Err… This is a suspended space? I thought you paused time or something… What is this?”

“This is my private space that only those that I have granted access to would be able to move freely. It’s a space that is separated from the normal flow of time itself. So how are you able to move?”

“Err… I dunno? I was hoping that you would tell me that instead?”

Ather shook her head, “I know why, my Goddess… Aster has the divinity of multiple Gods on her so she is able to negate the restrictions the space would have imposed on a normal mortal.”

Goddess Ralaie tilted her head at me, “You have been touched by multiple Gods?”

“Err… Depends on what do you mean by ’touch’? Do you mean literally being touched by them or just being in their presence?”

“In their presence of course.”

“Well… Actually, either way, the answer is still yes.”

Her brows furrowed slightly, “Who? Are you going to say Drebann? Because when he sent all of you Off-Worlders here, he was not using his full divine presence so that doesn’t count.”

“Err… I did meet with him again after I got a Divine Communication Stone… So I guess that’s different?”

“Hmm… That could be, yes.”

“And I do meet with Hiandoca infrequently… So maybe that’s why?”

She frowned at me and said nothing so I think she was expecting me to say more.

I continued, “And just recently…. I also met with Srii–”

Ather reached forward and covered my mouth while goddess Ralaie widened her eyes at me before narrowing them again.

Ather then remembered my actual relationship with Srii and retracted her hand afterwards, looking sheepish for panicking.

“It’s not good to lie to a Goddess, you know?” The goddess accused.

I tilted my head, “Eh? But I’m telling the truth though?”

“Even ignoring the fact that you even dare to call both of them so casually, the fact that you tried to claim you met Srii and you’re still standing here proves that you never met her before.”

“Err… I really did though? And she allowed me to call her just by her name… Same goes for Hiandoca as well.”

“You’re trying to tell me that you met Srii in the flesh and you did not experience death?”

“Oh, I kind of did in a way? I saw the moment where our World was being destroyed.”

“Ah, I see. So you died then and you were brought back?”

“Oh, err… No… I ignored the scene and just went to eat cake.”

The goddess gaped at me and it seemed like Ather was also doing the same thing as well.

Oh right, I don’t think I told them what I saw when I met Srii that time…

Goddess Ralaie turned to Ather, “This is your muse? This liar?”

Ather fidgeted, “I… Believe her, my Goddess…”

“Have you been brainwashed by her or something? Are you under some kind of mind control?”

I cleared my throat, “Ahem… Should I call Srii over to testify that I spoke the truth? Actually… Can I even call her here?”

Goddess Ralaie crossed her arms, “Who do you think you are? You think she will appear just because you called for her?”

“Well… Does this space allow her to appear if she wants to to begin with?”

“Yes, she can. Go ahead, call her then.”

Ok…

I turned around and looked up into the sky, “Umm… Srii? I don’t know if this is ok but if it’s possible, can I see you for a while?”

Goddess Ralaie frowned, “Is that supposed to be a prayer? You really believe that she would–”

“Aster? You wanted to see me? Have you decided to marry me?” Srii asked, appearing in front of me without any fanfare.

I scratched my cheek, “Umm… Well… Sorry but not yet.”

She held her cheeks, “Yet… That means there’s still a chance given time~”

Well… It’s not like I am completely against the idea… I just think it’s too soon… And if I’m really going to marry, then my other girls would come first.

Srii tilted her head at me, “In that case, I can ask Nilali to hold a wedding for all of you and I can marry you after that?”

Err… That’s not the problem… I’m just not ready to be married yet…

“Why not?”

I mean… That’s a pretty big commitment, isn’t it?

“Are you not already committing to your lovers, Aster? You have kissed them, haven’t you?”

That’s true… It’s just… I guess I still have some of my old World’s sentiments on what marriage is supposed to be…

“Would you like me to dispel any misconception you might have about marriage?”

It’s alright, I do know that marriage here is not as serious as my old World’s. Though ironically, I think at that point in society when my old World was destroyed… Marriage wasn’t really treated as seriously as it was before in the past anyway.

Also… How long are you going to keep reading my mind?

She tilted her head to the other side, “Is that wrong?”

I guess for a goddess, something like this was as normal as breathing so she doesn’t see it as something weird.

“Srii?” Goddess Ralaie muttered.

The death goddess turned to look at the other goddess, “What is it?”

“Why are you here?”

“Because Aster called for me?” She answered as a matter of factly.

The other goddess blinked at her and was just staring at Srii in disbelief.

Speaking of which, Ather did not pass out like before surprisingly. But she was obviously affected by Srii’s presence because she had her head down and was literally shaking visibly in her seat.

Maybe after being exposed to Srii once, you gain some kind of resistance towards the death aura?

Srii turned back to me, “No… Ralaie is protecting her with her divinity right now. Otherwise the same thing would have happened to her.”

The other goddess turned back to me, “That’s right! You! How are you doing this? Do you not get the feeling of death at all?! How are you able to ignore it?!”

I shrugged, “I don’t know what to tell you… Like I said, I did see death when I was affected by her but the last time… I just went to eat cake and then I don’t get the feeling anymore… In fact, could you send me back there, Srii? I don’t mind stuffing my face with that cake again. That was really good cake.”

Srii reached forward and clasped my hands in hers, “Aster… I love you. I really, really love you.”

“Ah… Ummm… Thank you. I like you as well, Srii.”

She smiled at my answer, “It’s ok, Aster. I understand you don’t know me well enough yet to love me back. I can wait for you.”

Kuh… Since when were death goddesses this cute?

She let go of my hand and touched her cheeks, “Ahh… Aster called me cute… Hehe…”

Goddess Ralaie grabbed me by the shoulders and started shaking me, “You! What have you done to Srii? This is not Srii! Do you have some kind of divine hypnotic power that can even charm Gods?! This doesn’t make sense!”

I didn’t get to answer her as Srii frowned at the other goddess, “Ralaie… Don’t bully Aster… Or else I would need to kill you.”

Goddess Ralaie actually stopped and pointed at Srii, “Yes! That’s the Srii I know! That’s… Wait… That means… Are you kidding me? You really fell for her? Who is she, Srii?!”

Srii gave a serious look and it looked like she was going to say something profound when she opened her mouth.

“Aster is Aster.”

…

What did I even expect?
