My Martial Arts Level Never Drops

Chapter 132: Chapter 101: Superiority and Inferiority?

”Your senior sister isn’t in True Martial. She lives in the Prefecture City year-round. She only comes back to see Master and Mistress for the New Year, and she doesn’t stay long before leaving again.”

Zhou Xing shook his head. ”As for what she’s actually doing... I guess only Master and Mistress know. I certainly don’t.”

Qin Fang had a sudden realization...

’So that’s how it is.’

”If you’re set on getting your Martial Arts Records... I think it’s very possible!”

Zhou Xing’s eyes lit up. He said seriously, ”Your Talent is already exceptional, and you’re willing to work hard. Based on your cultivation progress...”

He paused, then realized he didn’t seem to have any way to gauge his junior brother’s actual cultivation progress.

After a moment, he said, ”In any case, your progress is very fast!”

”At worst, it’ll just take a year or two. Then you can go to the Prefecture City and test for your Martial Arts Records... and the problem with your Identity will be completely solved!”

Zhou Xing smiled. ”It’s a good thing you have your Identity papers, even if they’re from Jingping... The Prefecture City is quite far from True Martial, so they probably won’t check too strictly. When the time comes, if you say you’re there for the Martial Arts Examination, no one will dare to give you trouble. It shouldn’t be a big problem.”

”And even if there is any trouble... your senior sister is right there. We can just have Master write a letter in advance, and there’ll be absolutely no problem!”

Qin Fang nodded upon hearing this...

’It’s no joke. Those confident enough to take the Martial Arts Examination are basically all at the Anjin level or above, some are even Huajin Powerhouses!’

’...Who would dare to offend someone like that for no reason?’

Of course, the Prefecture City definitely has important figures who would dare to provoke a Huajin master.

’...But why would a person like that target him for no reason? Are they that bored?’

Qin Fang let out a long breath.

The matter of his Identity... finally, there was a practical solution.

’...Otherwise, I’d have to be so careful every time I go out, sneaking around and hiding. It’s such a pain.’

”Alright, enough talk. I have to get to my post. You should head out when you’re ready... I’ll see you out of the city tonight.”

True Martial County was, after all, still investigating vagrants, so it was best for Qin Fang not to stay long.

Of course, even if he could stay, Qin Fang didn’t much like living in the county seat anymore...

’Life is so much freer at Fishermen’s. I can do what I want, go where I want.’

The members of the Fish Dragon Gang were respectful to him; all he had to do was say the word.

’Besides, isn’t Old Ox Back just a short distance from Fishermen’s?’

...Even if he were asked to move back to the county seat now, he probably wouldn’t.

After Zhou Xing left, Qin Fang didn’t leave right away. Instead, he practiced his boxing in the courtyard.

When the sun was high in the sky, there was a knock on the courtyard gate. Qin Fang went to look and, as expected, it was Monkey.

When Monkey saw Qin Fang, he instantly let out a sigh of relief.

Then he lowered his voice and said, ”Master Qin, I just heard some rumors. They say a Demon has appeared in True Martial County... and it seems to be related to Wang Hu? ...Do you know anything about it?”

A glint flashed in Qin Fang’s eyes... ’Clearly, word of last night’s events had already spread by today.’

”I killed Wang Hu. Then his body exploded, and a Demon came out.”

Qin Fang’s explanation was succinct.

Monkey was so shocked he was left speechless.

”Wh-what do you mean, you killed Wang Hu, then his body exploded, and a Demon came out?”

He stammered for a long while, a look of utter confusion on his face. He clearly didn’t understand.

”It’s exactly what it sounds like.”

But Qin Fang didn’t explain further. Instead, he said, ”I have to make a trip to my master’s place in a bit. We’re heading back to Fishermen’s tonight.”

Monkey came back to his senses and quickly said, ”Alright, Master Qin... What time tonight? Where should I wait for you?”

Qin Fang thought for a moment. ”Around the Hour of Xu, at the same place we entered yesterday. Just wait for me there.”

Monkey quickly replied, ”Okay!”

Qin Fang nodded, and Monkey took his leave.

...He naturally had his own places to be.

Qin Fang checked the sky, washed up, and then headed out.

He remembered his senior brother’s advice: his master liked the Huang Family’s yellow beef and the Ji Family’s Qianqiu Drunk.

Both were well-known shops in True Martial, and Qin Fang found them after asking around a bit.

But he ran into a problem when it was time to buy... It wasn’t a matter of silver; he had brought several hundred taels of silver with him into the city.

The real problem was how much to buy... His senior brother was coming later, and he had a huge appetite. Qin Fang’s own appetite wasn’t small now either.

’And Master’s appetite is probably huge, too...’

A few catties, or even ten, really wouldn’t be enough.

But too much would be difficult to carry.

After all, he wasn’t just buying meat and wine. He also planned to buy some things for his mistress, like pastries, bolts of cloth, and so on.

His gaze swept around, and he suddenly froze. Then, Qin Fang walked over.

”Young man, do you remember me?”

In front of a general store, a simple and honest-looking young man was sitting on a flatbed cart. He instinctively looked up when he heard the voice.

He stared blankly at Qin Fang for a long moment before he seemed to remember something. His eyes widened. ”You’re... Master Wu’s...”

This was the same honest young man his master had often brought to the ancestral home back when Qin Fang was living there.

Qin Fang smiled and nodded...

’I guess you could call him an old acquaintance, huh?’

”So you remember me?”

”Yes, yes, I do.” The honest young man nodded repeatedly. He couldn’t help but look Qin Fang up and down, hesitating for a good while before saying, ”It’s just that the change... is a bit big!”

’How could it not be?’

When he had last seen Qin Fang, it was when Qin Fang was at his worst—emaciated, as if a gust of wind could blow him away.

But the Qin Fang of today had a well-proportioned figure, a tall build, and a handsome face... Compared to before, he was like a completely different person!

If his facial features hadn’t remained largely the same, and if he hadn’t been the one to greet him first, the honest young man probably wouldn’t have dared to believe it was him...

”Are you busy?”

Qin Fang asked with a smile.

”Not busy. Just tell me what you need,” the honest young man said quickly.

”Well, I’m planning to buy some things to go see my master. Could I use your cart to haul them?”

”No problem!” the honest young man replied at once. Then he added, ”Let me go tell my boss. Please wait a moment.”
