Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 34: Drunk State

As Leila heard Adam’s answer, she found it satisfying.

He didn’t deny that he was doing this to impress his father, but he also admitted to liking it. She didn’t doubt him because she saw the way he worked.

It wasn’t a work of someone who loathed the job.

She realized that she had misjudged Adam a little. She thought he was just like every other guy who only has one thing on his mind, and that is sex.

Though the same could be said for Adam, as he did check her out, he also has character and isn’t a complete douche. And it’s very easy for someone like Adam to be a douche, as he has the money and looks to go with it.

But Adam turned out to be much better. He is handsome, charismatic, and doesn’t mind coming down to the level of normal people to interact with them.

It’s quite rare to find someone like Adam. He has made a positive impression on Leila, which is extremely hard, as she hates most men.

After driving for a while, Adam stops his car as he arrives at the destination Leila had entered in his GPS. ”We are here,” Adam says.

Leila nods. ”Thank you,” she says as Adam unlocks the car. Leila sees this and opens the car door before getting out. She looks at Adam one last time before closing the door.

”Have a good night,” Adam says and drives away, leaving Leila staring.

When Adam offered to drive her home, she thought he had some ulterior motive, and she had already decided to reject all his advances. But those advances never came.

The only mention of anything sexual was that dick joke which she initiated to make Adam uncomfortable, but he made light out of that situation. They just talked, got to know each other, that’s all.

And when she thought he might ask for something more as she exited his car, he just drove away, wishing her good night.

’Looks like I misjudged him a little,’ Leila thinks, and walks into her apartment building.

Adam has a smile on his face, as things with Leila went great. Girls like Leila are hard to win over, as they are judgmental about everything and everyone.

He will have to continue with his nonchalant act for a few more weeks before he fully wins her trust. He might have impressed her a little, but he is not delusional enough to think he has completely won her over like Cassie.

Today was a good day for Adam. His first day at work went fine, and he earned quite a lot in tips from his satisfied patrons.

Having a handsome face helps you earn a little more in the service industry.

But this is just a temporary stop for Adam. He has much grander plans than just working as a server in a restaurant.

He just wants to show his dad that he is serious about being better.

With his crypto investment already working its magic, he really doesn’t need this job other than to prove a point to his dad.

Adam can live without his dad’s inheritance, as he has knowledge about the future, but he isn’t going to pass it on. He isn’t going to let Julia have it like before.

The only thing Julia deserves is to be his cum rag.

Adam drives into his mansion’s driveway and notices that his father’s car is still not there.

This doesn’t surprise Adam as his father has the habit of working late at night or even all the way till the next morning.

Walking into the mansion, he finds it as empty and cold as ever.

Even though it’s filled with riches, it never feels like home.

Adam feels like drinking something, so he enters the kitchen and stumbles upon Julia.

He stops and looks at her as she is dressed to impress. A sexy red dress that hugs her sexy body while also showing off her big assets.

With a glass of wine in her hand, she seems very drunk.

”Fucking asshole...” Julia says drunkenly and takes another sip when she notices Adam standing at the entrance of the kitchen.

”Oh, you are back. At least the son is here, even though he is an asshole. The father is never around. Why did he even marry me if he wants to spend all his time working, *hiccup*” Julia complains.

Adam realizes what’s going on here.

Jack must have promised Julia to take her out, but he definitely canceled at the very last minute, leading to Julia throwing a tantrum and drinking herself into such a state.

Adam chuckles and walks past her, walking up to the fridge, opening it, and grabbing a soda can.

He turns to look at Julia again as he pops the can open with a big smile on his face.

”Is this funny? *hiccup* Tell me, do you find this amusing?” Julia asks, raising her voice, seeing the smug look on Adam’s face.

”Well, it is. I love seeing you in a mess,” Adam says, taking a sip from the can.

”Why? Why do you hate me? What did I ever do to you?” Julia asks, narrowing her eyes as her vision starts getting a little blurry.

”You are really asking me that? Did you forget just how big of a bitch you were to me from the very beginning? So I am throwing back what you throw at me.

Plus, let’s be honest with each other.

You are after Jack’s fortune. You only married him for the money, and I am a hundred percent sure you are already trying to take everything for yourself.

So you tell me, why should I respect you?” Adam asks.

”How are you so sure that I married Jack just for his money?” Julia asks.

”Hahaha, look at you. You are young, beautiful, hot, sexy, and a selfish bitch. My dad doesn’t have the personality to attract someone like you. The only reason you married him was because he has money,” Adam says.

Julia keeps her mouth shut as she processes what she just heard. She gets up from the chair and almost loses her balance, but manages to hold on to the chair and break her fall.

She then walks up to Adam and stands before him. Looking up at him, staring into his eyes. ”Do you really mean it?” she asks, stumbling, but her eyes seem to hold a sense of clarity during this question.

”Of course, every word,” Adam says. Julia stumbles again and falls against his body.

Adam feels her soft, round breasts press against his body, but he doesn’t do anything but stand still and look down at Julia.

*hiccup* Julia regains her balance, stands up, staring into Adam’s eyes. ”You have such beautiful eyes,” Julia says before bursting into laughter. ”But you are also a massive pervert,” She says, bawling her eyes out laughing.

”It’s true. Whatever you said about me is true. I married Jack because of his money, and I don’t care about anything else. It’s also true that I treated you like shit, but look at you. Even though I have treated you like shit, you still want to fuck me, don’t you?

I can see it in your eyes. The way you look at me. Like a hunter looking at his prey. You want to devour me, don’t you? You want to mess me up with that massive cock of yours, just like you did to that slut you brought in yesterday?

I have to give it to you. I thought you were a loser pervert. But you turned out to be just a pervert, you have it in you to tame some sluts.

You men are all the same. You want to fuck every beautiful woman who walks past you, and I understand that, and I don’t mind it. Jack probably has a few women he is fucking behind my back, and I don’t give two shits about it.

So what’s wrong if a woman like me uses her beauty to get what she wants? How is it any different from men flaunting their wealth to get women? I just used my looks to get what I want. I did nothing wrong,” Julia says.

Adam listens to her rant, and for the first time, he starts to learn a little more about his stepmother. She understands what she is doing. She is also willing to look the other way just to get what she wants.

Everything Julia said is not wrong. She did nothing wrong by marrying Jack for money; her only fault is coming after what belongs to Adam.

This is a dangerous woman, and that is why she managed to succeed in taking over all of Jack’s wealth in Adam’s previous life. But this time it will be different. This time, Adam is prepared.

”No, you did nothing wrong by marrying Jack for money. Your fault is coming after what’s mine. I saw through you the moment I laid my eyes on you. I would have been fine if you had just kept to yourself, pretending to be Jack’s loyal wife, but you wanted more, and I can’t have you taking what’s mine now, can I?” Adam says, confronting her.

Julia keeps her mouth shut for a few seconds.

”But that’s not all, is it? It’s not just about me coming after what’s yours. It’s about you wanting to fuck me more than anything. You hate that you desire me so much.

Even after being treated like shit by me, you still want to fuck me more than anything. Even if I am trying to ruin you, you desire me more than your wealth. And it kills you knowing that you won’t get it, no matter what. You are pathetic,” Julia says.
