Peerless Martial God 2

Chen Guang Yu seemed excited as he told Lin Feng all these things. He wished the Competition could start earlier. He couldn’t wait to meet all those really strong cultivators.

Lin Feng had always been determined, and what Chen Guang Yu had just told him really had an impact on him. What if he could really meet many extremely strong cultivators at once? Maybe he couldn’t picture there were such cultivators in the Country of Eternity.

Lin Feng hadn’t felt so excited in a long time. Why not participate, then?

But Lin Feng came back to his senses. Chen Guang Yu invited him to participate in the Competition but Lin Feng was just a prisoner… In Wu Jue Valley, he had just overcome the challenge of the first valley, the Valley of Despair. He still had to go through Waterless Valley, Lightless Valley, Lifeless Valley, and the Valley of Destruction. All this had just begun!

How could Jin Lun City possibly let him go? Even if Jin Lun City and Supreme God Jin Lun forgave him, what about Supreme God Xie?

“I know what you’re thinking,” Chen Guang Yu smiled. “I can guarantee you that if you accept, Jin Lun City will let you participate in the Competition,” Chen Guang Yu said confidently.

“Alright, I’ll wait for your message in three days,” said Lin Feng nodded. If Chen Guang Yu confirmed within three days, and if Lin Feng’s pure Qi was unsealed and his legs untied, then he would definitely agree to participate in the Great Competition of the West. Otherwise, it was useless to continue talking about it.

“Deal!” swore Chen Guang Yu, smiling proudly. He was extremely happy.

——

Lin Feng didn’t continue talking. Chen Guang Yu called someone to bring Lin Feng back to the Valley of Despair. In three days, he would come back to pick up Lin Feng.

After Lin Feng left the thatched cottage, Chen Guang Yu flew towards Jin Lun City quickly.

Half an hour later, he arrived in the main palace. Nobody prevented him from entering. The disciples of Jin Lun City all had to kneel down in front of him until he disappeared again.

Lin Feng didn’t see that. Otherwise, he would have been startled. What was Chen Guang Yu’s position in Jin Lun City?

Chen Guang Yu ran inside the palace. He entered the main hall and sat down on the Dragon Throne. Many elders were astonished at first, but then they looked at him respectfully.

“Greetings, Leader!”

“Greetings, Leader!”

The elders knelt down and bowed hand over fist respectfully.

“Rise,” said Chen Guang Yu, waving at the elders.

The elders stood up and looked at Chen Guang Yu respectfully. They didn’t dare say anything. They were afraid their Leader would fly into a rage.

“Go and call Jin Lun,” said Chen Guang Yu, pointing to an elder. The old man felt honored. He didn’t say anything, simply leaving to go and find Supreme God Jin Lun.

—

After a short time, Supreme God Jin Lun appeared in the hall, followed by the elder.

Supreme God Jin Lun looked at Chen Guang Yu. He seemed worried. He didn’t know what Chen Guang Yu wanted from him.

“Jin Lun, I’ve been patient and kind for so many years,” said Chen Guang Yu meaningfully.

Supreme God Jin Lun nodded. He smiled and said flatteringly, “Of course, you’ve always been kind to me.”

“You know it, good. Therefore, I need you to make a decision,” Chen Guang Yu nodded.

Supreme God Jin Lun naturally couldn’t refuse. If Chen Guang Yu flew into a rage, Jin Lun City would be doomed. Even though he was just a medium-level Supreme God, he had a terrifying background.

Was Supreme God Xie strong? He was influential and powerful because he was from the Ancient Demonic Clan. What about Chen Guang Yu, though? His ancient sect was much more powerful than the Ancient Demonic Clan!

If Chen Guang Yu hadn’t supported Jin Lun City, Jin Lun City wouldn’t have progressed like it had in the previous years. Chen Guang Yu felt like at home in Jin Lun City, so he cared about it.

Therefore, all the cultivators of Jin Lun, including Supreme God Jin Lun, called Chen Guang Yu Leader, but it was just an honorific title. The real Great Leader was still Supreme God Jin Lun.

“How may I help you, sir?” Supreme God Jin Lun smiled.

Chen Guang Yu patted the armrests of the Dragon Throne. He walked down the steps in front of the throne and closer to Supreme God Jin Lun. Supreme God Jin Lun couldn’t help but lower his head. He felt intimidated.

“I need someone who can come with me to the Great Competition of the West,” said Chen Guang Yu calmly.

Supreme God Jin Lun was extremely happy. He had already started thinking of whom he could send to the Great Competition of the West. They were eliminated first each time at the Competition, but this time, Chen Guang Yu was going to participate. It would be a great honor for Jin Lun City and they would also have more chances of winning.

“So, whom do you want to take to the competition?” asked Supreme God Jin Lun cupping his fist in the other hand before his chest excitedly.

“Lin Feng!” replied Chen Guang Yu indifferently.

Supreme God Jin Lun’s expression fell instantly. He seemed extremely nervous, and mumbled, “Sir, are you…?”

“What? You don’t like my decision?”

“No… No at all… It’s just that..,” said Supreme God Jin Lun, shaking his head. He didn’t want Chen Guang Yu to have a bad impression of him.

“Since there’s no problem, sort everything out. In three days, I need people to come with me to the Valley of Despair,” said Chen Guang Yu. He didn’t give Supreme God Jin Lun time to say anything. He patted his shoulder and disappeared.

Supreme God Jin Lun pulled a long face, his cheeks burning. He slapped the table in front of him, and it immediately exploded into pieces. His face became purplish-red, his eyes were filled with murder.

“Fuck! He wants me to release Lin Feng!” Supreme God Jin Lun was furious. How dare Chen Guang Yu tell him to do that? Didn’t he know Jin Lun City hated Lin Feng more than anything!? Didn’t he know Supreme God Xie hated Lin Feng to the core?

And now he had asked him to sort everything out?! To release Lin Feng! Supreme God Xie would feel offended, so his clan, the Ancient Demonic Clan, would also feel offended. But if he didn’t release Lin Feng, then he would lose Chen Guang Yu’s trust and his mysterious sect would also cut ties with Jin Lun City. They would become enemies.

What a dilemma! Supreme God Jin Lun felt stuck.

“Leader, I have an idea,” spoke up an elder at that moment.

Supreme God Jin Lun was relieved. He looked at the grey-clothed elder and smiled. “Third elder, what is your idea? Please tell me,” said Supreme God Jin Lun urgently.

The old man grinned evilly. His eyes were filled with malice. “Chen Guang Yu said that he wanted to pick up Lin Feng in three days. However, what if he found out that Lin Feng was dead in Wu Jue Valley? What could he do?” proposed the old man, grinning ferociously.

Supreme God Jin Lun’s expression gradually became distorted with ferocity. “You mean…?”

“Then you would just have to pretend you really wanted to release him, but that it’s not possible anymore since he’s dead. What could Chen Guang Yu say then? Will he kill you because of a dead guy? Hehe, I don’t think so.

“If Lin Feng dies, then you’re good. Just apologize to Chen Guang Yu and find someone else to go to the Great Competition of the West with him. It would be perfect. You’d kill two birds with one stone that way,” said the grey-clothed old man with cruel pragmatism.

Supreme God Jin Lun looked happy again. His eyes gleamed sinisterly, and an ice-cold Qi emerged from him.

“Someone come here; bring Lin Feng to Lightless Valley and then activate the space and time mechanism! Turn one day into a year.

“If Lin Feng is not dead tomorrow, then send him directly to Lifeless Valley and activate the space and time mechanism again, make one day into ten years.

“On the third day, well, no need to think about it; he won’t survive until then,” mused Supreme God Jin Lun, smiling broadly, and looking quite pleased with himself.

At that moment, Lin Feng was in the Valley of Despair taking a rest. He didn’t know what was going on in the main palace, as he had just returned. He had no idea what was awaiting him.
