The Genius Evolution Store

The president didn’t want Auric to know what he had in mind, so he immediately shifted the topic back. ”Well, it’s fine to be late. It’s just a few minutes. Anyway, why are you here today?”

”Because of this.” Auric raised his hand. Wind started to swirl above his hand.

President Gunther and Patrick dropped their jaws in astonishment. They thought they had gotten so old that their eyes had started fooling them, but no matter how many times they blinked, the wind was still there.

”What?” Patrick took a closer look at Auric’s wind. ”This... You have a wind element? But isn’t your element supposed to be...”

”You have two elements?” President Gunther asked directly.

Auric raised his other hand and formed a small root, showing that he possessed two elements.

”What is going on?” President Gunther gasped. ”You really have two elements?!”

Patrick took a few steps back, unable to comprehend what was going on. ”A human is supposed to only have one element. You... What kind of avatar do you have?”

”Actually...” Auric scratched the back of his head and spoke apologetically. ”I have a unique element.”

”!!!” President Gunther and Patrick widened their eyes.

The first thought in their minds was pity. They knew the notoriety of the unique element. This element might be strong, but it is difficult to evolve. It was a shame that Auric had a unique element. Even if he could become a good evolution master for a time, he would be stuck at a certain level for the rest of his life.

However, this was the first time they had seen a unique element that allowed the user to wield both the plant element and the wind element.

”Can you explain? What do you mean by having a unique element? And how can you wield different elements?”

”I am not entirely sure either. After all, a unique element is called unique for a reason.”

They really couldn’t deny it. There was so much research on the unique element, but because their samples varied greatly, there was no information that could be generalized across them.

So, it wasn’t strange for Auric to be unable to explain it.

Still, Auric gave the best explanation he could. ”I could only use a plant element when I first registered as an evolution master. Then, once I entered the campus and started learning how to utilize my element, I could use the wind element.”

Lindwurm rolled his eyes. He wasn’t lying, but he was misleading them. Auric indeed could only use a plant element at the time, but he gained the ability to use all other elements soon after.

He could use the wind element before learning about the so-called battle armor, but it wasn’t wrong to say that after learning it, he could use the wind element.

”So, does your unique element allow you to wield other elements, maybe under certain conditions?”

”I don’t know.” Auric really didn’t know. Because he didn’t have a unique element to control the others, he simply had no avatar and could absorb any element he wanted.

President Gunther looked down, falling into deep thought. ’This is a new discovery. Isn’t this such a pity? The world has no unique-element evolution master. Even if he has a unique element, he can’t call himself a unique-element evolution master unless he helps other unique-element users evolve. That also means he wouldn’t be able to help himself.’

President Gunther turned to Patrick. ”What do you think?”

Patrick shook his head helplessly. ”I don’t know. First of all, what do you think about your wind element? Can you control it?”

”Yes. As well as my plant element. I have used it to evolve people over the past two days.” Auric lowered his head. ”I’m sorry. I should have talked to you first. There was no precedent for having two elements, so I initially thought it would be fine to help people, and I succeeded as before.

”But my professor suggested that I should go here to register my second element.”

”Indeed. You should have come to us first, but because there is no rule about it, and this is the first time we have encountered such a situation, we don’t have any intention to punish you either. But if you can really use your wind element as well as your plant element, there is no reason for us not to grant you another certificate for this element.” President Gunther calmed him down.

”Thank you very much.”

”Still, this is a pity. If you didn’t have a unique element, you would have been a promising seedling, but as an evolution master, you should know the biggest challenge you need to overcome, right?”

”Yes. There is no unique-element evolution master. So, most unique-element users are unable to evolve.” Auric nodded, acknowledging the challenge.

”That’s right.” President Gunther sighed in disappointment.

”However!” Auric stopped his train of thought by raising one finger. ”I think I will be fine.”

”!!!” President Gunther raised his eyebrows. ”Why do you say so?”

”I believe in my sensitivity. I believe I can accurately sense the amount of energy within a material. Because I used to help at my father’s material shop, I now have a deeper understanding of the amount of energy a material can possess.”

”Really?” President Gunther was a bit surprised by his confidence.

”Yes, sir. While it’s true that a unique element material is rare, there are statistically higher chances of finding materials with 8% to 16% element in them.

”If I just stop at maybe 70% to 80%, I can combine two materials to reach 100% and evolve without any problem.

”If I manage to do that, won’t I have the biggest advantage an evolution master can have? I will have two elements and I will be able to help even more people.”

”!!!” President Gunther and Patrick were stunned. They indeed hadn’t considered this possibility before because they were too focused on the limitation.

But if they thought about it, Auric definitely had the biggest advantage an evolution master could hope for.

If he could evolve successfully, he might become a multi-element evolution master.

And since Auric looked like he was able to wield an element under certain conditions, he might be able to wield more and more elements.

People pitied a unique element user, but Auric possessed unmatched sensitivity. His skills as an evolution master were also beyond his current grade.

However, Auric had a high probability of evolving his avatar into the juvenile form.

President Gunther and Patrick thought this might be worth a shot. Auric was attempting something people had never done before. If he succeeded, he would become a terrifying evolution master whom people could only admire.

President Gunther thought for a moment before suggesting, ”How about this? Let’s go to the storage. I want to check your sensitivity. I will provide you with some materials, and I want you to measure the amount of energy in them. What do you think?”

It was normal for President Gunther to be more skeptical, but this worked in Auric’s favor. If he could prove his potential, President Gunther would be pouring more attention on him. He would undoubtedly support him even further.

”I will follow the president’s arrangement.” Auric agreed.

”Let’s go!” President Gunther was quite excited. This was the first time that someone with a unique element possessed the three most important factors for their evolution.

Normally, a unique element user would need to calculate the amount of energy they possessed carefully so that they could get the perfect number.

But Auric had the sensitivity to get that perfect number, the skill of an evolution master, and a deep understanding of elements.

This time, there might be a chance for Auric to become the first unique element master to reach the top.

Even if he couldn’t be called a unique element evolution master, he could at least be known as an evolution master with multiple elements.

Patrick was quite anxious. He hoped Auric was as good as he hoped he would be. This way, he might witness the birth of a multi-element evolution master.

They reached the storage quickly.

The president explained, ”Patrick, you will also assess the materials with me. We will write down the number and compare it with each other. Understand?”

”Yes, sir,” Patrick agreed.

”Good.” The president gave them a piece of paper each and picked up a random material from the storage. It was a green, fruit-like material with a wind-like pattern on the surface. ”This is the first material. We will test at least twenty materials. So, write down the number. Take your time, make sure to be as accurate as possible.”

Auric and Patrick nodded.

Auric only took a moment to check the material before writing down his answer. ”I’m done.”

”So fast?” Patrick was startled.

Fredrick had previously told the president about Auric’s exceptional senses, so he wasn’t that surprised. He just wrote it down according to his own perception and turned his head to Patrick.

”You done?”

”Yeah.” Patrick showed his answer.

”12%.”

President Gunther opened his answer and showed, ”12.5%.”

Auric opened his answer. ”12.3%.”

This answer shocked Patrick and President Gunther. Normally, people would have a hard time measuring one decimal point, but they couldn’t really say Auric was wrong either.

No, Auric might be more accurate than them.

President Gunther wasn’t convinced yet. He brought another material.

Just like before, Auric kept giving answers that fell between their numbers.

Patrick’s sensitivity was lower than Gunther’s, and Gunther could easily figure out the 0.5%, but Auric kept giving the answer between their numbers, which showed that he might really sense an element at that accuracy.

One test wasn’t enough to draw a conclusion, but he did it twenty times. If they weren’t convinced after all this, nothing would convince them anymore. They even added a damaged item to see if Auric’s eyes would be fooled, but they didn’t.

Patrick sucked in a sharp breath. ”This... It’s real...”

President Gunther wanted to celebrate as well, but he still had to be careful. One small mistake could ruin Auric, after all.

So, rather than celebrating, he turned solemn. ”This is indeed good. I am convinced that your sensitivity is extremely high. It might even be higher than mine.

”However, it doesn’t change the fact that it is hard to evolve if you possess a unique element.

”Still, if you truly succeed, you will definitely have an unfair advantage over your peers. That’s why I will say this. If you need the association’s help, don’t hesitate. As long as I’m still here, I’m willing to help.”

”Thank you very much, sir,” Auric hurriedly thanked him. This was an opportunity given by the president. He managed to convince him, and his path should be quite smooth.

Little did the president know, Auric never had any challenge in the first place. He was just using this one excuse to conveniently hide his true power. And with this kind of story, it would be much easier when he had to reveal his true power in the future.

At that time, the Evolution Association would completely back him up. This Evolution Association, for sure, but he also planned to turn all Evolution Associations around the world to support him in the future.

No one would dare to take advantage of him at that time. And a good reputation with the association would also smooth the process of him revealing the Sun Store and Moon Store later.

Although one of them hasn’t been officially created yet, he will soon open it.

The president patted Auric’s shoulder. ”How about this? Go home first. I will handle your registration. Since it is outside the usual time, it will take some time. I will have someone deliver it to you by tomorrow.”

”Understood. Once again, thank you for the help.” Auric smiled.

Once Auric left, Patrick couldn’t help but say, ”President, are we witnessing the birth of a legend?”

”Maybe, maybe not. We can’t let our guard down. However, as long as he is brimming with potential, we have to try.” President Gunther pointed at him. ”I want you to prepare his second certificate. For now, hide this news. Don’t create an uproar.”

”What are you going to do? You’re not going home, right? It’s unfair if I’m the only one doing overtime.”

”Of course not. I’m going to investigate Grand Magica College. We can’t let them ruin a genius like him. Hopefully, he will be able to meet our expectations.”

”Warn them for now, and if he can evolve his avatar to the juvenile form smoothly, cut their necks depending on the severity of the situation.” Patrick grinned.

”Yeah. Evolution masters like us have our own way of dealing with people.” President Gunther harrumphed.
