The Genius Evolution Store

As expected on the day of registration, the college was completely filled with students.

There were parents watching their kids finally enter college, bringing the hopes of the entire families.

However, the college was not filled with just the new students that were about to get in. There were many upperclassmen attending the event.

After all, this occasion was a good opportunity to size up their juniors or future competitors.

Angelina was one of them, though she came here for a different matter.

”Look at this, girls.” Angelina proudly showed a picture of herself, her brother, and Auric.

”What is this?”

”Did you take a picture with an idol, so you want to show it off? It’s just an idol, right?”

”An idol is useless in this era. They do look good, but they won’t have enough strength to fight.”

Angelina looked at her three friends with disgust. However, a smug smile soon appeared as she pointed at a certain part. ”Are you dumb? Look at this part here.”

All of them followed Angelina’s finger and saw the small badge on Auric’s clothes.

”A bronze-grade evolution master?”

”There is an evolution master this handsome? Where is he? Give us the address!”

”How old is he? Well, I don’t care. He has such a baby face.”

”Hehehe!” Angelina puffed out her chest proudly. The way she didn’t give the information annoyed the three friends.

”Come on. Just spit it out.”

”Aren’t we friends? Tell us right away!”

”I’ll buy you coffee.”

Angelina snorted. ”He possesses an extreme element. When he helped my brother, he actually cleared the hurdle before my brother began his evolution! He was so humble.”

”Extreme variant? Come on, don’t tease us anymore.”

”Being able to help someone before the evolution begins... that’s the technique of a high-level evolution master. Are you sure he’s only a bronze grade?”

”A humble evolution master? Shouldn’t a master with that face and skill be more arrogant?”

Angelina laughed. ”If I were not there personally, I wouldn’t believe it either.”

The three were glaring at her as if they were planning to do whatever it took to get the information out of her.

Before they could say anything else, a burst of cheers suddenly erupted at the front gate.

”Oh? What’s going on?” Angelina stood up as if she were planning to run away.

”Oi!” The three of them tried to stop her, but they also saw the commotion at the entrance.

There were two people who had just arrived. Both of them arrived in their own limousines, showing their status.

”Are those...” One of the girls gasped. ”I have heard about them, but it looks like they’re actually coming.”

”Yeah. The Yuling Group chairman’s daughter, Mila Caffe.”

”The other one must be the Sword Madman’s grandson, Charles Hemery.”

Angelina squinted her eyes. ”I heard they awakened Grade A Snow Woman and Grade A Wind Serpent respectively. With rich parents, they can get more resources than us.”

Mila was a tomboyish young woman with long brown hair tied in a ponytail. She had a black tank top covered with a white jacket along with long, tight black pants.

She turned to the man who had just come out together with her. He had short, spiky black hair. His eyes were sharp, but the vertical cut wound on his right cheek was much more noticeable.

Unlike Mila, he was wearing a formal suit, but he was carrying a 150-cm-long blade.

After popping the bubble gum in her mouth, she raised her sunglasses while asking, ”So, you came here as well? I thought your grandfather would send you elsewhere.”

”It doesn’t matter. I will just prove that he should send me to a better campus by suppressing all the people here.” He snorted.

”Can you two move aside? You’re crowding the entrance.” Suddenly, a man’s voice echoed from behind.

”!!!” Both of them turned around and saw a rather handsome man.

”I have heard there is a handsome blonde who awakened a vampire with Grade A affinity. Is that you?” Mila asked, her eyes still looking not very interested.

”Yes. I’m Eric Dabood.” Eric nodded calmly. ”Well, I don’t care. You are not my priority this time.”

The two of them couldn’t help but furrow their brows.

”It looks like the rumor is true. The reason my grandfather wanted me to go here...” Charles narrowed his eyes. ”It looks like the principal managed to invite that person directly.”

Suddenly, people’s gazes shifted as amazement filled the air.

The trio followed the source of their amazement and saw a tall young man. Everything about him was white. His hair, eyes, clothes, and even his shoes were white.

Unlike Eric, he had an elegance that drew people’s attention to him. He walked confidently as if he were accustomed to people’s admiration.

”Oh my. To think that all of you are here, especially you...” The man walked to Mila and grabbed her hand gently. ”Miss Mila. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

”So, you really came, Simon Kestus. I wonder what the principal promised to bring you, the successor of the Lightning Emperor here, White Lightning Junior?” Charles snorted.

”Oh, you two are here—the man without elegance and the woman who runs from it.”

Charles and Mila were cursing inwardly. ’So annoying!’

Only Eric was looking at him nonchalantly. He wasn’t that interested in him, so he turned around and started walking.

”Well, well. Look at this commoner... doesn’t even have elegance.” Simon looked at Eric with contempt.

Eric halted his steps and glanced back at Simon. ”What did you say?”

”I’ve heard about you, Eric Dabood, right? I possess the lightning element... You should show me some respect, or I might decide to bully you a little. Even if you somehow manage to resist my power, you still cannot bypass the limitations of your grade.

”Grade S white lightning. I know.” Eric was surprisingly calm even after being provoked.

’Was this how Auric felt whenever I was around him?’ Eric didn’t feel angry. It felt like a kid was standing in front of him, flaunting everything he had.

If he were his target, he might get frustrated. However, after what he had witnessed two days ago, his target had changed.

Eric chuckled. ”Well, whatever. You are not my target in this academy. Whatever you do, I don’t particularly care. I’m much more worried about you. I hope your little pride won’t get hurt like mine.”

Simon’s expression changed. He was the only grade S in this year’s admission, so he should be at the top. Yet, Eric warned him that he would be suppressed by someone else.

Mila and Charles also couldn’t believe it. According to their information, Simon should have the strongest potential this year.

”What did—” When Simon wanted to stop him, the atmosphere changed again. Simon hurriedly turned his head around to see what was going on.

There was another young man. Simon thought he had everything people wanted this year. However, it all changed when this man appeared.

Mila opened her mouth in surprise.

The young man had a different charm than Simon. In terms of looks, he was better than Simon.

Unlike Simon’s behavior, the man remained calm and collected. He smiled from time to time to greet the people who were staring at him.

Auric halted his steps for a moment when he saw people blocking the way. Similar to how he behaved in high school, he nodded to them in greeting before looping around.

Eric had expected this behavior from the beginning.

’Even after miraculously coming here, he’s still like that...’ Eric’s eyebrows twitched. He didn’t know how Auric did it, but he knew Auric more than these three.

Auric had never done anything meaningless. The fact that he came here meant he already had a plan in mind.

He passed by them smoothly while the three of them were still contemplating what to do with him.

To their surprise, Auric waved his hand. ”Yo, Eric.”

”Shut up. Don’t talk to me. You won’t be able to suppress me again here!” Eric raised his voice, annoyed.

Even though he understood what Auric was feeling, the competition between them had lasted far too long. That annoying feeling wouldn’t disappear in just an instant.

”Fine, fine. Well, let’s meet again.” Auric chuckled.

”Who wants to meet you?” Eric glared at him. Even though his tone was harsh, Eric actually started walking as if he were following him.

”Wait!” Simon suddenly raised his voice.

”Hmm?” Auric turned around before glancing at Eric. ”Your friends? I saw you talking to them earlier. You should go with your friends. Or maybe I’m a much more important friend?”

”One day, I’m really going to sew that mouth of yours shut.” Veins bulged on Eric’s forehead.

”So, you’re the one this guy mentioned...” Simon looked at him with a solemn expression.

He didn’t have any information about Auric, so he offered him a smile while extending his hand. ”Nice to meet you. I’m Simon. You must have heard my name.”

”Oh. You are that Simon.” Auric smiled back and shook his hand.

”So, you know who he is?” Lindwurm, who had been accompanying him, asked. ”You don’t even know that famous woman, so I bet you don’t know this guy. In addition, this guy seems to have bad intentions.”

’Of course, I don’t know him. Don’t you know my motto already?’

”Don’t make unnecessary trouble. If there is trouble...” Lindwurm smirked.

As Lindwurm mentioned, Auric only said whatever the other party wanted to hear in order to avoid any trouble.

But the other party intended to make that trouble, as Auric could feel Simon’s energy flowing into his hand.

As if he were trying to make a little zap using his lightning, Auric simply returned the favor.

Both of them had awakened only a few days ago, so they had limited energy. Still, as someone who came from a prestigious background, Simon believed he had more energy than Auric.

Unfortunately for Simon, Auric not only had a counter element, but also the amount of elemental energy he possessed was much greater than Simon’s.

Name: Auric Elfe

Element: (Fire 0%), (Water 0%), (Lightning 0%), (Wind 7%), (Earth 11%), (Plant 24%), (Light 0%), (Dark 0%), (Unique 16%)

Besides, his control had gotten better since he had gained some experience as an evolution master.

The wind energy, even if it was weaker than the white lightning, still possessed an elemental advantage.

So, the typhoon wind ultimately overwhelmed the white lightning. The clash ended with the typhoon wind releasing a burst that pushed Simon back as his hand was blasted away.

Lindwurm couldn’t help but grin. This moment was when the second part of Auric’s motto came in. Auric might not want trouble, but if he had to face one, the motto would then change to ’Equivalent Exchange,’ just as he conducted business.

”!!!” Eric, Mila, and Charles were shocked. Mila and Charles didn’t know, but Eric certainly saw Auric failing to awaken an element.

Hence, a question appeared in his mind. ’Was that a wind element? How did he...’

Simon didn’t expect that he would lose this exchange. It reminded him of what Eric had said earlier.

”I’m much more worried about you. I hope that your little pride won’t get hurt like mine did.”

”Lightning element, huh? That’s quite intense. If you ever need help with evolution, you can always come to me.” Auric smiled as if nothing had happened.

Of course, he didn’t forget to add inwardly, ’Also, this white lightning seems to be an extreme variant. I guess it’s going to be mine soon.’

Lindwurm laughed. ”Hahaha. This guy must not know that he actually helped make you stronger in your first meeting. Imagine if he knew; I could see Eric V2.”

’V2? Isn’t it supposed to be No.2?’

”I believe he will be more annoying than Eric, so V2.”

’Hey, hey. That’s not nice. We have to be grateful. Although he hasn’t shown his power yet, I’m going to get it from him soon.’

There was actually another kind of shock not far from the entrance.

Angelina dropped her jaw as her three friends couldn’t help but look at the picture she had shown earlier.

”Lina. Doesn’t he look like the guy in your picture?”

”I know, right? So, it’s not that he has a baby face; he’s just a new student?”

”Doesn’t that mean he’s a 17-year-old evolution master?”

Angelina was so worried about Auric’s identity that she forgot that Auric was supposed to have the steel element instead of wind.

These three hyenas had found Auric when she was deliberately showing him off while still hiding him.

”Ah... I’m screwed.”
