All Beautiful Girls Want to Stick with Me

Akina quickly realized that Kotomi might genuinely be on the verge of overheating, given how silent she had become.

Immediately, she helped remove Kotomi’s hat, gloves, and mask.

When Kotomi’s face was revealed, the female doctor momentarily froze, completely captivated. How could someone be this beautiful?

Fortunately, her rationality prevailed, preventing her from outright staring in front of the girl’s parents. If she did, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for them to call the authorities.

The doctor took a moment to compose herself, then picked up a thermometer and began preparing to check Kotomi’s temperature.

When taking a female patient’s temperature—especially with an underarm thermometer—doctors typically avoid any potential awkwardness by letting the patient position it themselves. However, Kotomi seemed a bit dazed from the heat. Seeing this, the doctor decided to assist her in placing it under her arm.

Since both were women, the doctor didn’t think too much about it. As a medical professional, she didn’t differentiate between male and female patients.

Once Kotomi had the thermometer positioned properly, the doctor withdrew her hand. But her peripheral vision unintentionally caught sight of the ”scenic view” of Kotomi’s cleavage—unusually prominent for someone so young.

The doctor, who was often admired for her own curvaceous figure, felt a rare sense of inadequacy.

Was this girl reincarnated from a papaya tree? the doctor thought, a wave of bewilderment crossing her mind.

Turning her attention back to the parents, the doctor asked, ”When did you first notice she was unwell?”

Akina replied, ”It was this morning. She usually comes downstairs for breakfast before school, but today she didn’t. I went to check on her and found her with a fever. I measured her temperature—it was 38.5°C.”

She then asked worriedly, ”Doctor, are you absolutely sure it’s nothing serious?”

The doctor reassured her gently, ”Don’t worry, it’s just a mild cold. She’ll be fine after some rest and medication to reduce the fever.”

Although calm on the surface, the doctor couldn’t help but feel puzzled. This was an ordinary cold—nothing that truly required a hospital visit. A bit of rest and the fever would resolve itself within a day or two.

The urgency shown by the Izumi family seemed excessive until the doctor glanced at Kotomi again. I think I understand now, she thought. With such a stunning daughter, it’s no wonder her parents treat her like a precious jewel.

Akina and Kaneyoshi visibly relaxed upon hearing the diagnosis. It was as if a heavy weight had been lifted from their hearts. To an outsider, their relief might seem disproportionate, as if Kotomi had just been diagnosed with something far graver.

Kotomi, now a bit less dazed, used her free hand to wipe the sweat from her forehead. She was well aware that her cold wasn’t a big deal, but her parents’ reaction had been almost military-level preparedness.

Beep, beep, beep.

The thermometer finished measuring, and the doctor retrieved it. After checking the display, she smiled.

”37.2°C. See? She’s already doing much better. Just ensure she eats, takes her medicine, and rests. She’ll recover quickly,” the doctor explained before adding playfully, ”You might even be back at school tomorrow.”

The corner of Kotomi’s mouth twitched slightly at the mention of school. Her expression screamed, Oh, joy.

The doctor smirked knowingly. Who hasn’t been a student before? Most students secretly celebrated being sick enough to skip school, only to groan at the thought of returning.

Hearing this, Kaneyoshi and Akina prepared to take Kotomi home. Though the trip to the hospital had proven unnecessary, they had peace of mind.

Just as they were about to leave, Kotomi felt a sudden, uncomfortable pressure in her lower abdomen. It was undoubtedly the result of that big glass of hot water she had chugged earlier.

”Mom, I need to use the restroom first,” she said.

”Alright, I’ll wait for you outside.”

After relieving herself, Kotomi washed her hands and glanced at her reflection in the mirror.

Her thoughts wandered to how much her parents had worried about her. Their concern wasn’t entirely unwarranted—they weren’t the type to overreact without reason. But whenever Kotomi had even the mildest fever or cold, it was as if the entire household went into high alert.

She knew if her sister Aimi were the one sick, their parents wouldn’t react so dramatically. They’d simply monitor her condition and handle it calmly.

But for Kotomi, it was a different story, and she knew why.

The memories returned to her.

When she was five years old, her father Kaneyoshi had just begun establishing himself at his company, working long hours and frequently intervening in family disputes with his father. Meanwhile, her mother Akina was both a homemaker and a part-time music teacher at a private girls’ school.

One winter day, heavy snow fell outside. Because the kindergarten had declared an early holiday, Kotomi and Aimi stayed home while their parents went to work. Their elderly neighbor had been asked to help with their meals.

That evening, as the neighbor brought dinner over, Aimi opened the door, crying and yelling, ”My sister is dying!”

The elderly woman panicked and rushed upstairs with Aimi to find Kotomi burning with fever and lying listlessly on the bed. Aimi had managed to drag her there by herself but was at a loss for what to do next.

Though young, Aimi had shown remarkable maturity in caring for her sister. She tried to make an ice pack but couldn’t reach the ice bags stored on a high shelf. Instead, she grabbed ice cubes from the freezer and placed them directly on Kotomi’s forehead before running to get help.

Kaneyoshi and Akina rushed home, but their attempts to lower the fever failed. Kotomi was admitted to the hospital and spent two weeks battling a relentless fever. Just when her parents had begun to despair, Kotomi miraculously recovered.

The first thing she said upon waking, after seeing her parents and sister, was:

”The sky outside is filled with glowing little balls!”

Everyone turned to look but saw nothing unusual. The sky was as it always was.

They dismissed her words as the remnants of a fevered dream.

Since that incident, however, her family treated any of Kotomi’s illnesses with the utmost seriousness, haunted by the memory of her prolonged childhood fever.

”Excuse me, young lady,” a cleaning lady’s voice broke her thoughts.

Kotomi turned to see the older woman eyeing the running faucet.

”Are you feeling unwell? You’ve been standing there letting the water run. If you’re done, turn it off—wasting water is a bad habit!”

”Ah! Sorry, I got distracted!” Kotomi apologized hastily, turning off the faucet and dashing out of the restroom.

The GT-R50 cruised smoothly along the road. Compared to city streets, highways and racetracks were undoubtedly better suited for this legendary ”God of Speed” sports car.

Since Kaneyoshi refrained from speeding on the way home, the GT-R50 drew countless stares from pedestrians and other drivers alike. Some even took out their phones to snap pictures.

Kaneyoshi could only offer a helpless smile. ”When my father gave me this car, I hesitated for quite some time. It’s just too ostentatious.”

”I think Grandpa made the right choice!” Kotomi had no such reservations. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she spoke eagerly, ”Dad, can I drive this car after I graduate from high school?”

”Haha, if you like it that much, it’s yours. But only after you get your driver’s license,” Kaneyoshi agreed readily. If it was within his power, he would always fulfill his daughter’s wishes.

Upon hearing this, Kotomi’s mood brightened instantly. It felt as though her lingering cold symptoms had almost completely vanished just from her excitement.

She began humming a cheerful tune, revealing a side of her personality—a girl who loved cars, planes, guns, heavy weaponry, mecha, and Gundams.

Last year, on her birthday, she had even made a wish to one day pilot the Banshee Norn.

”Isn’t it a bit too early to think about getting a driver’s license?” Akina furrowed her brows slightly. She wasn’t opposed to her daughters learning to drive, but she’d prefer for them to wait until after university.

”It’s not too early! Megumi-san already has her motorcycle license, while I can only ride an electric bike,” Kotomi pointed out.

Her imagination drifted, picturing Megumi Kato riding a motorcycle. The contrast between her usual gentle demeanor and the rebellious image of a biker was an irresistible aesthetic.

”She already has a motorcycle license? I never would have guessed.”

”Mom, I want to ride a motorcycle too! Cough, cough…” Kotomi’s enthusiasm caused her to speak too forcefully, leading to a bout of coughing.

Akina smiled warmly, gently patting Kotomi’s head. She pointed up toward the sky. ”Daughter, what time is it right now?”

”Daytime,” Kotomi answered without hesitation.

”What’s another way to say ’daytime’?”

”Broad daylight.”

”Exactly. Now, keep dreaming.” Akina playfully pinched Kotomi’s cheek, unable to resist the soft, tender sensation.

Kotomi froze for a moment before realizing what her mother meant. ”Broad daylight… daydreaming!” She immediately pouted and turned to her father for support.

”Dad, Mom won’t let me learn how to ride a motorcycle!”

As a child, whenever her mother refused her a toy, her father would always come to her rescue.

Kaneyoshi chuckled, ”What do you want for lunch?”

”Stuffed pork belly!” Kotomi blurted out without hesitation, quickly forgetting the motorcycle matter altogether.

”Alright, let’s buy some stuffed pork belly. Think five will be enough?”

”Ten!”

”No problem.”

”Yay!”

Just like that, the allure of stuffed pork belly completely distracted Kotomi from her earlier ambitions.

Despite her cold suppressing her appetite somewhat, Kotomi managed to eat ten stuffed pork bellies, two bowls of rice, and half a plate of stir-fried vegetables before she was too full to continue.

”Quite the poor appetite today,” Akina remarked with an amused sigh, glancing at the half-eaten plate of vegetables. Kotomi had meticulously picked out all the meat and carrots, leaving behind only green peppers.

After lunch, Kaneyoshi took a short nap before returning to the office.

Kotomi, meanwhile, returned to her room. Instinctively reaching for the air conditioner remote, she stopped herself mid-action. Her cold wasn’t fully gone yet, and turning on the air conditioning might make things worse.

Sighing, she pulled her hand back.

”I wonder if Yui and the others missed me today?” Kotomi mused as she sprawled on her bed, enjoying the cozy warmth of her blanket.

She sighed dreamily, Taking a day off is the best.

If only I could get another day off tomorrow.

Even after two lifetimes, Kotomi still carried a student’s playful longing to extend a sick day whenever possible.

As she pondered ways to justify another day of absence, a sudden thought struck her—she hadn’t walked to school with Megumi yesterday, nor had they met up today.

It had been two whole days since they last walked to school together!

The realization made her clench her small fists and wiggle under the covers, silently vowing to recover fully by tomorrow morning.

But lying in bed alone soon became dull. With boredom came a flood of thoughts.

Why didn’t I like school in my second life? she wondered.

For most people, disliking school was just a phase, not an unusual sentiment. But why was it different now? Why had she come to enjoy it in this life?

Her clever mind quickly analyzed three possible reasons:

The God-Level Heroine System: It had granted her superhuman learning abilities. Excelling academically and receiving constant praise from teachers made school less of a chore.

Beautiful classmates: There were so many stunning girls around her—Megumi Kato, Yukino Yukinoshita, Yui Yuigahama, Mashiro Shiina, Sensei Shizuka, Senior Utaha, and many more.

Just listing them made her feel triumphant, though she regretted that some weren’t in the same class.

With so many beautiful girls to admire, even if she didn’t pay attention in class, she wouldn’t find it boring.

She had a girlfriend now:

After two lifetimes, she was finally no longer single. She had successfully escaped the dreaded label of ”forever alone.”

Her girlfriend, Megumi Kato, was in the same school. How could she not feel motivated to go?

This, she mused, was likely why some people enjoyed school more after falling in love during high school.

Of course, whether grades improved as a result was another story entirely.

Her mind wandered further, reflecting on her past life. In middle school, she’d once had a massive crush on her math teacher—a thirty-something beauty with flowing hair and glasses. Though she was married, young Kotomi could only admire her from afar.

For three years, she kept this crush a secret, graduating without even learning the teacher’s first name.

Did the crush help her grades? Not at all. If anything, her poor math scores earned her countless scoldings from the very object of her affection.

Still, she found herself remembering those days fondly.

Left alone with her thoughts, Kotomi soon veered wildly off-topic, pondering everything from video games to baby names.

”Let’s name the baby…” she mumbled aloud, her voice trailing off as she drifted into a peaceful nap.
