MIGHT AS WELL BE OP

Chapter 1034: Resolve And Plans

Anthony, Vega, and Kingsley appeared within his Island, where his building was located within Military Base Alpha-9, where Mitchelle was the Supreme Monarch.

The moment they appeared, Kingsley gazed at Anthony for a moment, then spoke, ”Thank you for the trip and including me in this eye-opening... adventure,” his voice calm and collected, carrying a subtle undertone of sincerity that did not go unnoticed.

Hearing Kingsley’s voice, Anthony broke eye contact with Vega, turning to Kingsley, ”No need to thank me for anything,” he replied with a smile, ”they needed the strongest three, and we are the strongest three, there is nothing more to it,” he stated with a calm factual tone.

’The strongest three, huh?’ Kingsley thought to himself, the words echoing faintly within his mind as he processed their weight, his thoughts lingering on the statement longer than he had initially expected.

”Well, I will be giving you both a bit of space,” he spoke as he turned towards the door, ”I’m sure you would want to jump straight into your acts of love,” he joked as he turned, his lips curling slightly in amusement, his tone light yet deliberate.

Anthony and Vega simply chuckled with a shake of their heads, not bothering to reply to him. What was there to be ashamed of in the name of sex, a natural act that held no embarrassment or hesitation for beings of their stature and experience?

’It seems the rest aren’t here,’ Kingsley thought, his senses sweeping through the enire Island as he didn’t sense any of their teammates; Dale the Vampire, Reynold the Phoenix, Seraphim the Elf, all of whom were absent from the immediate vicinity.

They were part of a military group before he, Anthony, and Vega had to leave for the Galactic meeting. Kingsley thought about going to meet with them first, since he had spent many years with them, years filled with countless battles, shared experiences, and silent understandings, but he shook his head and decided not to. He needed some alone time first, a moment to process everything that had transpired without distraction.

He simply stopped walking towards the door, then rose his right hand ever so slowly, forming a fist; with a gentle punch no different from a mere wave of his hand, the space before him cracked and collapsed immediately, the void yawning open before him like a silent abyss that swallowed light itself.

Without missing a beat, he simply stepped forward with ease and walked into the void without bothering to close the shattered space, as space always healed and closed itself unless it was opened like a portal or rift through magical energies like Mana or Faith Energy, which followed entirely different principles.

At a different location within the Military Base, space shattered again, and Kingsley walked out with an indifferent gaze, his face calm and composed, betraying none of the thoughts that stirred beneath the surface.

At this moment, his clothes had already changed to his military uniform; although more powerful than the Supreme Monarchs at this point in time, he still obeyed the Military Law that stated all soldiers must wear their military uniforms at all times within the base, a rule he had no intention of breaking.

A few soldiers stared at him from the side but didn’t approach, Kingsley simply walked as the shattered space behind him snapped shut on its own, restoring itself as though it had never been broken. At his level of power, he could shatter space with his fist, walk within the void through that fractured space, and emerge in an entirely different location as though distance itself had lost meaning.

It was just like how portals worked, but his own method involved brute-forcing his way through space, since he didn’t have Mana or Faith Energy, relying purely on overwhelming physical capability and control.

But he wasn’t the only one who could do this; essentially, anyone that could withstand the void-weight of the Galaxy could achieve the same feat, as they would all possess the physical capability to walk through the void with relative ease.

Kingsley began to walk in a random direction, his mind flickering through everything he had seen and witnessed within the Galactic meeting, the battle against the invading Angels, and the so-called spar that followed, both of which left lasting impressions.

He had held his own during the battles against the Angels, his performance solid and reliable, but during the spar against Anthony, Lucian, Aaaninja, and Aura Nova, he had lost pitifully; he hadn’t won a single match, he had lost against everyone without exception, a fact that gnawed quietly at his mind.

Although he was able to drag out his battle with Aura Nova, extending it longer than expected, it still ended in his loss. The rest of the battles between him, Lucian, and Aaaninja ended far too quickly, as he didn’t even get to use any of his abilities during the spar, rendering the matches almost one-sided.

Not his Universal Technique, nor even his Limit Breaker Form, Concept Of Destruction, both of which remained unused, lingering as untested options that he never had the opportunity to unleash.

He couldn’t help but ask himself; even if he had used them, would he have truly won against Lucian or Aaaninja, or would the outcome have remained unchanged regardless of his efforts?

The thought lingered... stretching on longer than he would have liked... then he sighed, the faint exhale carrying with it a trace of self-awareness and quiet acceptance.

He had initially thought that Anthony was the only ’abnormal’ person; although he had suspected Anthony’s friends were powerful, still, how powerful could they even be? Now, he had received a definitive answer to that question, one that left no room for doubt.

’Have I been slacking off lately?’ he thought to himself as he gazed at his hands, flexing his fingers ever so slightly, as though searching for an answer within his own strength.

Before meeting Anthony, Kingsley was in the same military group with Dale, Reynold, and Seraphim; they weren’t as powerful as him, so the group couldn’t exactly take on missions that relied on the battle prowess of someone like Kingsley. His three teammates would simply die before they could even as much as blink if placed in such situations.

’I need to leave them behind,’ Kingsley thought to himself, his gaze shifting away from his hands as a firm resolve began to take root within him, solidifying with each passing moment.

Not leave them behind in terms of ending their friendship, but he had to leave the team. He had to begin his own personal mission. Although the Military didn’t allow a single person to go on a mission because of obvious reasons, there were always exceptions to everything, especially for individuals who stood far above the norm.

At his level, what could ordinary military missions even do for him? They would offer no challenge, no growth, no evolution. He needed to speak with the Supreme Monarchs and obtain the missions that only they undertook. The missions they did as a group... he would do them alone, turning their impossibility into routine.

He nodded at the thought, his next plan of action forming clearly within his mind, each step aligning with his newfound resolve. He lifted his hand, the Martial Rhythm forming within his palm; he gazed at it for a while, observing its subtle fluctuations, and a smile slowly broke across his lips, one filled with quiet anticipation.

Unlike others, he didn’t need to enter seclusion or anything like that; he didn’t need to cultivate or lock himself away in isolation for years. He had his sleep training mode, which possessed an absurd time difference, and besides, someone like Kingsley didn’t need to sit around to train his Martial Rhythm, in battle, during these missions, he would improve in real time, sharpening himself with every clash.

So, he would take missions, fight using Martial Rhythm, and improve in real time. Then sleep, and further refine his Martial Rhythm within his sleep, ensuring that not a single moment was wasted.

Kingsley had a feeling that once he mastered this Martial Rhythm to a certain level, he could step into something... something unknown, something beyond his current understanding, yet undeniably greater, as though standing at the edge of a new realm of power.

With a faint smile, he continued walking forward, his steps steady and purposeful. For now, the first step was to meet with the Supreme Monarchs, and that wasn’t difficult, he would meet them through Anthony, since Anthony’s entire family were practically Supreme Monarchs, making the path before him far more accessible than it would be for anyone else.
