MIGHT AS WELL BE OP

Chapter 983: Cannon Event

Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos felt it in real time, the control he had over the Galaxy, over reality, over the Universe, over the Parallel Universes had been overridden by a force that did not belong to chronology. His body still remained the Personification of the River Of Time, he still possessed absolute temporal dominion, but a far greater force had stepped onto the stage, halting whatever transformation and Unchanging Canon Event he had been weaving into the very DNA of the Galaxy with meticulous inevitability.

Lucian did not stop, his grin still firmly etched across his face as he felt a power he was certain he would never have touched within thousands of years of cultivation now coursing through his veins and settling upon his lips like divine intoxication.

With a single thought, every thread, their numbers stretching into the billions and trillions, shot toward him like living divine serpents, writhing with conceptual might, then in the next moment every thread collided violently with the others, weaving together into something that began taking shape with deliberate precision.

Before long, the countless threads of various colors brightened with overwhelming brilliance, illuminating the torn fabric of the Galaxy, and in the next moment a book manifested into existence as the threads vanished entirely, having transformed into that singular object of impossible significance.

The book had a thick and imposing cover, its surface radiating an indescribable weight, and on it was written its title in bold, unapologetic letters; MIGHT AS WELL BE OP.

On the cover was the image of a man with flowing white hair, piercing blue eyes, a perfect face sculpted as though by divine hands, and a sharp jawline that exuded quiet dominance, one did not need to look for more than a split second to recognize that it was Anthony’s picture emblazoned upon the cover.

With another thought, the book flipped open on its own, pages turning rapidly as it moved past Chapter 1, the paper ruffling and shuffling audibly until it reached Chapter 983, which stood as the latest recorded Chapter of the narrative. With yet another thought, more threads materialized out of nothingness, weaving themselves into the shape of a pen, and without hesitation, Lucian began to write into the book in real time with mad confidence.

”Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos tried to imprint something into the Galaxy and Lucian Darkheart, but it was futile, as at the next moment, his True Body died of decapitation from Lucian Darkheart, making him the winner of the battle.”

As he wrote, the pages glowed with blinding flashes of incandescent light, the pen dancing fluidly across the pristine white sheets as though guided by supreme authority. Although Lucian could have written virtually anything, could have altered destinies beyond imagination, he chose to keep it simple, there was no need to go excessively overboard... though what he was already doing was undeniably overboard in every conceivable sense of the word.

As he placed the final full stop at the end of the sentence, the book trembled violently, the void surrounding it screaming in a silent plea for mercy, then in the next moment the book vanished entirely from existence, dissolving back into nonexistence, and then vanishing even from there as though it had never been summoned at all.

As the book disappeared, the overwhelming power Lucian had felt coursing through his body vanished as well, leaving him once again as the normal human man he originally was. And at that exact instant, the Acarnis Galaxy trembled violently as the process Aaaninja had initiated began rewriting itself as though time itself were reversing in defiance. Every manipulation he had executed became undone, time particles flowing backward in obedient retreat, controlled by a force that seemed to stand even above Time itself.

Aaaninja felt the consequences in real time, he was losing his grip over the Universe and the Parallel Universes with terrifying speed, disbelief flooding his consciousness. Before he had chosen to impose an Unchangeable Perfect Canon Event, he had scanned countless Parallel Universes and divergent realities, and within none of them had he foreseen this outcome, yet it was unfolding before him regardless.

He gritted his teeth as he attempted to pour out more power and temporal energy, forcing the River Of Time to obey his will once more, but it was futile, nothing responded to him anymore, not the Galaxy, not the time particles, not even the faint echoes of causality. In the next moment, another wave of time particles gathered around him and his body began to reform into solidity, he attempted to resist the reconstruction, but it was futile yet again.

In the following instant, his entire body reformed completely, his full physical shape manifesting into tangible reality, his legs making contact with the surface of a barren moon. The moment his body became visible and stable, Aaaninja did not hesitate, he immediately activated his Eyes Of Genesis, desperation concealed beneath his calm focus, he did not know what Lucian had done, but he knew with absolute certainty that he could not afford to lose this match under any circumstance.

But although he activated the Eyes Of Genesis, he still perceived nothing... yet he felt something indescribable. He felt his head disconnect from his shoulders in an instant devoid of warning, the world flipping upside down within his vision as his severed head struck the lunar surface and rolled across it like a mere pebble cast aside by fate, and with a heavy thud his headless body collapsed onto the moon’s surface, stirring clouds of pale lunar dust into the silent void.

Even in death, Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos could not comprehend what Lucian Darkheart had done. But he was certain of one undeniable truth, Lucian had touched a power that eclipsed the River Of Time itself. And even as consciousness faded, he could not truly believe it.

The River Of Time was supposed to stand above the Omniverse, above the Multiverse, above all conceivable layers of existence, yet there existed a power that stood above even that sacred current.

Lucian floated with calm and effortless ease as he gazed down at Aaaninja’s lifeless body, his grin still unwavering upon his face. This time, he was absolutely certain Aaaninja was not feigning death or preparing some hidden countermeasure, as he had ensured the finality of the outcome.

Yes, the River Of Time was unimaginably powerful, but beings such as ??? and Romulus stood above it in sheer might and unfathomable power. But unknown to everyone, even to ??? and Romulus themselves, there existed someone who stood above them all in absolute dominion; the AUTHOR.

So while Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos had become the Personification of the River Of Time, Lucian Darkheart had ascended to become the Personification of the Author himself, allowing him, Lucian Darkheart, to edit the current Chapter directly by breaking the fourth wall and summoning the very book that governed their existence.

Lucian Darkheart simply floated in pure and intoxicating bliss, drunk on the magnitude of his victory and the audacity of what he had accomplished.

And with this, Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos had fallen to a man he had defeated three years prior, a man he had once considered a minor concern.
