Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 145: They Will Come To Accuse Us

This time, Ruth slammed the table and said, ”Daniel said your in-laws already know about this. What are you planning to do about it?”

”Mom, I can handle it myself. Why are you bothering with her?”

Nancy grew increasingly irritated. Recently, these calls had been driving her crazy.

”I won’t bother? You’re my daughter; how can I not bother?”

Ruth became even angrier: ”Today, I called your mother-in-law, originally intending to confront her, but she brought this up right away. Mom has lost all face and couldn’t even stand up for you.”

”Your mother-in-law said they should help in principle, but they need to know where you spent the money. And now your husband has spent a large sum himself and said he’ll come visit us in a couple of days.”

”How are we supposed to host them? Now it’s fine—she’s coming to confront me.”

As a shrew who doted on her children, one could imagine how frustrated Ruth felt today.

Lily quickly tried to calm her: ”Mom, don’t be angry first. We can’t just listen to their one-sided story.”

”The key is, Mom received many calls, and their tone was very aggressive, just like debt collectors.”

Nancy had a headache and couldn’t bear to listen any longer. She turned around and headed upstairs.

Ruth shouted, ”What are you going upstairs for?”

Nancy said angrily, ”To sleep, obviously! There’s nothing to say about this matter. I’ll handle my own affairs.”

”Nonsense! Little Sister’s classmate is here; there’s no room for you to sleep.”

”None of your business.”

The mother and daughter argued, parting on bad terms. What Luis appreciated more was the beautiful sight of his mother-in-law breathing heavily in anger, her chest rising and falling.

”Let me go up and take a look!”

Lily quickly followed.

For a moment, only Luis and his mother-in-law were left in the living room. Mother-in-law Ruth: favorability meter 88%, emotions: angry, stifled, depressed.

Given her personality, going to confront someone only to be lectured instead—especially by Hela, a beautiful woman who was strong-willed and eloquent—she had probably been subjected to some sarcastic remarks, which made her so angry.

At least she waited until her younger sister and the classmate weren’t around before making a scene. Probably Yana had also advised her; otherwise, with his mother-in-law’s temperament, she wouldn’t have been so reasonable.

Luis immediately grabbed her hand. Under his mother-in-law’s shy and reproachful gaze, he kissed her jade-like hand and said softly, ”Mom, don’t be angry. I’ll go up and see what’s going on.”

”Big Sister is right. If you two with your tempers sleep in the same room, you’ll tear the house down.”

”I wish they were as worry-free as you are.”

Ruth sighed.

Luis looked at the beautiful, charming mother-in-law before him and said hoarsely, ”Mom, wait for me. I’ll come to you in a little while.”

It seemed the sister-in-law’s mission couldn’t be completed tonight. This was a heaven-sent opportunity; he must conquer his mother-in-law tonight. Luis had secretly made up his mind.

Upstairs, the sister-in-law must have heard some noise. To avoid being implicated, she closed her door tightly.

Luis pushed open the master bedroom door. Nancy was lying on the bed in the spot that originally belonged to Luis, sulking. Lily stood nearby, somewhat at a loss and unsure what to do.

An eldest sister is like a mother. Whether Nancy has a mother’s nurturing heart is unclear, but she certainly has the overbearing aura of the Mother-in-law. At the very least, her two younger sisters are especially obedient under her domineering influence.

”Big Sister, don’t overthink things. If there’s anything to discuss, we can talk tomorrow.”

”Lily, you sleep with Big Sister tonight. Mom is also very upset. I’ve already persuaded her to go back to her room.”

Lily thought this was the best way to handle the situation. What if both parties were still angry and started arguing again? Especially since her mother had drunk quite a bit of alcohol.

”Honey, let me prepare some bedding for you.”

In her mind, her husband was going to sleep on the sofa again.

Luis simply shook his head and said, ”No need. I have to go to the internet cafe tonight. You all should go to bed early.”

”Oh, alright. Then make sure to rest. Tomorrow is a holiday for everyone else. I’ll ask Big Sister to accompany me to buy some things.”

Lily didn’t think much of it, but as soon as Nancy heard this, she immediately turned around and gave Luis a meaningful look.

Luis secretly responded with a lewd smile, then pretended to put on his clothes and went downstairs. Mother-in-law Ruth sat in the living room in a daze for a moment, and Lily followed him down to explain that Luis had something to attend to.

Luis put on his shoes and went out, but he didn’t go far. Instead, he hid in the fire escape stairwell, waiting.

He sent a message to his Mother-in-law: ”Don’t lock the door. Open it for me once Lily goes upstairs. Mom, I want to sleep with you tonight.”

”I know...”

Mother-in-law Ruth’s message filled Luis with ecstasy.

At that moment, Nancy sent another message: ”Are you going to find that little slut??”

”What, is Big Sister jealous??”

”Get lost! Lily has started having morning sickness these past couple of days. How can you, this bastard, have the heart to do that??”

”Then please take good care of her, Big Sister. An elder sister is like a mother. You have to tell Lily not to be so conservative and to learn more skills. Otherwise, I’ll really suffocate to death.”

”Big Sister has seen the video too. Lily can’t even blow me properly. Sigh... I’ll leave this matter to you.”

Nancy was probably too upset now to even respond to Luis’s teasing.

After waiting about ten minutes, Mother-in-law Ruth sent a message: ”They’ve gone upstairs. Open the door gently. It’s not locked.”

This message made Luis overjoyed. He quietly pushed the door open and found it was indeed unlocked. Luis immediately tiptoed inside, closed the door, and locked it.

Carrying his shoes and walking on tiptoe like a thief, he passed through the living room, dimly lit only by a nightlight. At that moment, his Mother-in-law’s door seemed like the gates of heaven.

As soon as he opened it, he saw Mother-in-law Ruth sitting at the head of the bed, wearing cool and sexy pajamas. She looked at him with a smile on her face, but there was also a hint of melancholy that was hard to detect.

Mother-in-law Ruth: Favorability 88%, Emotions: conflicted, helpless, confused.

None of the three indicators showed anything related to lust. Although she definitely knew what her son-in-law intended to do, Ruth, who had drunk half a bottle of red wine, was clearly preoccupied with her eldest daughter.

It was only natural for her to be this upset—her eldest daughter was her own flesh and blood, the one she cherished the most.

Luis had originally thought he would pounce on his prey like a hungry tiger the moment he entered, but upon seeing his Mother-in-law’s favorability and emotional state, he calmed down.

He set his shoes aside, locked the door, took out a wine glass, opened a bottle of red wine, poured some into the glass, and silently placed it on the bedside table before sitting cross-legged on the floor.

”Son-in-law, still drinking!”

Ruth spoke her first sentence and then sighed.

”Mom, it’s fine. Have a drink. I know you’re under a lot of pressure.”

Luis, acting like the man of the house, took out an ashtray and sat on the floor without making any rash moves.

He said tenderly, ”If Mom were in a good mood, I’d already be tearing your clothes off by now. But I know you’re worried about Big Sister. Mom, don’t overthink it. The specific situation still isn’t clear.”

These words touched the softest part of Ruth’s heart.

She gritted her teeth, took a sip of wine, and said softly, ”I feel more and more like scolding Lily. How can she act so wronged and pitiful when she has such a good husband?”

”I gave birth to three daughters. Nancy is so beautiful—I thought she’d marry well, but it turns out her in-laws don’t treat us well either.”

”The youngest sister is well-behaved because she’s willing to study, but she isn’t close to me at all.”

”When Lily married you, Mom was furious. But now I know it was my mistake. Where else could I find such a good son-in-law?”

”My three daughters aren’t as considerate as you... Ah, I don’t know how to say it. I just feel wronged.”

Luis drank with her and whispered, ”Mom, are you worried that Big Sister’s mother-in-law will come to our house to accuse us???”

Ruth finally revealed the truth and said with a bitter smile, ”Your Big Sister hasn’t had any children since getting married. Her in-laws are already resentful about it. It’s not that her family lacks money, but they spend it on their son, not their daughter-in-law. I can see that clearly.”

”Especially your Big Sister’s mother-in-law. She may appear kind on the surface, but her words are actually quite vicious. She doesn’t use any swear words, but she might as well have called your Big Sister a chicken that can’t lay eggs.”

From this, Luis understood what she was thinking and said, ”Mom, you’re worried about Big Sister.”

”If they want to fight, let them fight. If it doesn’t work out, then divorce. It’s not a big deal since there are no children involved. Unlike you, Mom, who has three children to raise and doesn’t dare to divorce, and still has to fight with that little vixen.”

Ruth took another sip of wine and said angrily, ”What makes me angrier is that when asked, she didn’t say anything and still had that attitude before.”

Luis immediately comforted her, ”Mom, Big Sister probably feels that saying anything would be useless.”

”How, how would it be useless? As her mother, how could I just stand by and watch her suffer?”

Ruth’s face flushed red, clearly lacking confidence.
