Chapter 448 His World

Harald looked at Kyle, while Sebastianʼs seriousness crumbled as he tried not to laugh.

”Trying to make me laugh is not fair!” Sebastian transmitted to Kyle. ”I was trying to be imposing here!”

”You saw the show?” Kyle asked with a chuckle.

”Who didnʼt?” Sebastian asked.

”What meaningless nonsense is this?” Harald asked Kyle.

”This is not the Winterfire Empire,” Kyle answered. ”Youʼre not supposed to be here! Do you have a warrant?”

”A warrant?” Harald asked with furrowed brows, not recognizing the unfamiliar word.

The power of the monarchy in this world was so strong that their language didnʼt even have a word that described the governmentʼs permission to search a house.

If a guard wanted to search a house, they would just do it.

They didnʼt need permission.

”You are invading our Kingdom! This is an act of war!” Kyle shouted, dramatically pointing at Harald.

Harald slowly blinked, not impressed.

Then, he just sneered and swung his arm forward.

The next moment, a huge wave of water came from the sky, aiming for Kyle.

”Round two!” Kyle transmitted to Sebastian.

”Leave him to me!” Sebastian transmitted back as he readied his Spells.

BANG!

But then, the world distorted for just an instant.

The next moment, the huge wave of water collapsed and turned into individual raindrops, which harmlessly fell to the mountains below.

Everyone looked over and saw a person walking through the air.

It was Silvester, the former Champion of Skysand.

Harald narrowed his eyes but didnʼt prepare another attack.

”We had an agreement,” Silvester spoke.

”These two are fugitives,” Harald answered. ”The Winterfire Empire demands their surrender.”

Silvesterʼs sword gleamed as he slowly moved it to the side.

”Your Emperor is waiting outside my Kingdom,” Silvester said, slowly pointing his sword at Harald. ”If he believes that he should follow the rules, and if you believe you donʼt have to, are you not saying you are more important than your Emperor?”

Harald narrowed his eyes. ”I-”

”You have three seconds to leave,” Silvester said.

Harald glared at Silvester.

”One,” Silvester said.

”Fine, I will lea-”

”Two,” Silvester said, interrupting Harald.

Harald looked at Silvester.

Silvester pulled his sword back.

BANG!

All the clouds vanished, and Harald immediately fled towards the south without speaking another word.

Silvester lowered his sword.

Meanwhile, Kyle and Sebastian snickered.

Then, Silvester looked at them. ”Why are you here?” he asked neutrally.

”Asylum,” Kyle answered.

”You have killed a Transcendent,” Silvester spoke. ”Asylum is for the helpless.”

”Eh, then we want to join!” Kyle said. ”I can be your representative.”

”We do not accept new citizens at the moment,” Silvester said.

Kyle blinked a couple of times.

”So, youʼre saying that I actually have to leave?” he asked.

”Yes,” Silvester said.

”No hidden trick or loophole in the laws?” Kyle asked.

”If I find you or your friend within my territory after three days are up, I will kill you,” Silvester said.

Sebastian seemed a bit nervous.

”Really?” Kyle asked. ”Come on, I helped your son.”

”Which is why you are still alive,” Silvester said.

Kyle took a deep breath.

ʼThere goes that plan.ʼ

”Wait!” Selene shouted. ”You said he and his friend, right?”

Kyle looked over at Selene with a raised brow.

”He and his friend,” Silvester confirmed.

”I need Asylum!” Selene said.

”Granted,” Silvester said. ”We will be reviewing your history and make a decision on how to proceed on this.”

Selene sighed in relief.

Kyle watched what was happening and realized what was going on.

”Oooohh, I see,” Kyle said.

Silvester didnʼt say anything.

ʼSneaky snake,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼEmperor Winterfire is probably putting him under a lot of pressure. After all, we killed one of his Transcendents.ʼ

ʼNot handing us over immediately shows that he is on our side. If we hadnʼt killed a Transcendent, he probably wouldʼve even let us stay.ʼ

ʼHowever, the death of a Transcendent is way too much. Even more, we are still mortals. If we are already this powerful right now, how powerful will we be as Transcendents?ʼ

ʼHe canʼt possibly allow us to stay here, train as long as we want, and break through. Otherwise, the Winterfire Empire would be finished.ʼ

ʼSilvester and the Chief want to help us, but not to the degree that they would risk their lives for us. I mean, I would also not do that for them.ʼ

ʼBut what they can do is help Selene.ʼ

ʼSilvester accepts and protects Selene, which shows that he supports us. Yet, by not protecting us, he is also showing that he supports the Winterfire Empire.ʼ

ʼNo matter which side wins, he is their ally. Sneaky.ʼ

ʼBut for this stance to make sense, there has to be a way for us to survive. After all, if Silvester believes that we are going to die in three days anyway, there wouldnʼt be a difference between handing us over right now or later.ʼ

ʼAlso, he evaded my question regarding loopholes in the law.ʼ

”Does it matter in which way we leave?” Kyle asked.

”I do not want you to be anywhere inside my Kingdom in three days,” Silvester said. ”I do not care what you do or where you go. As long as you are not in my Kingdom, itʼs fine.”

Kyle grinned. ”Gotcha!”

Sebastian looked at Kyle with furrowed brows.

”Look at you,” Sebastian said. ”Look at how smug you are right now. Itʼs almost like you didnʼt call me smug earlier.”

”I didnʼt call you smug,” Kyle said, smugly.

Sebastian rolled his eyes. ”So? Whatʼs the plan?”

Kyle grinned without saying anything.

”We are going to escape to my world,” he transmitted.

”Your world?” Sebastian transmitted with a brow raised in skepticism.

”Follow me!” Kyle transmitted back.

Kyle flew towards the north, nodding to Silvester as he passed him.

Silvester didnʼt react.

Then, Kyle waved at Selene. ”See you later!”

Selene sighed.

She had mixed feelings right now.

She felt like she was abandoning Kyle… again.

Yet, she also knew that she was making the right choice.

”Good luck,” Selene said.

Sebastian flew after Kyle.

ʼWhat the fuck does he mean with his world?ʼ Sebastian thought.

Kyle just smirked.
