Nine Dragons Saint Ancestor

Puff!

Yun Wei performed the Body Meridian Techniques passed down by Ancestor Xuan He, narrowly dodging the strike with immense difficulty, but unexpectedly, Ning Fu had a backup plan. He directly slapped her back heart, flipping her over.

Regardless of the situation, Yun Wei was a whole Great Rank lower than Ning Fu, and it was the Holy Rank Third Realm. In such a disparity, she absolutely couldn’t fight across ranks, so she could only suffer a grievous injury.

”Puff!”

Struggling to stand after flipping over, Yun Wei felt her Blood Energy surge within and couldn’t help but spit out a mouthful of crimson blood. Her aura plummeted, but her gaze at Ning Fu was still filled with a hard-to-conceal bitterness and hatred.

”Daring to act unruly at my Star-picking Tower, capture her!”

Ning Fu was completely unconcerned with Yun Wei’s hateful gaze. He knew that capturing Yun Xiao’s sister would allow him to seek credit from the Great Elder, and repair the impression of incompetence in the Elder’s mind.

The guards naturally followed Ning Fu’s orders, and at this moment, Yun Wei was seriously injured with some panic. She wasn’t afraid of falling into Star-picking Tower, but worried that her mother would have no one to rescue her.

”Stop!”

Yet at that exact moment, as Ning Fu was smug and Yun Wei was in despair, a cold voice suddenly came from outside, causing everyone to pause.

”Miss Xingmou?”

Upon looking towards the origin of the voice, Ning Fu immediately sensed an ominous feeling, worried that this chance at redemption would be thwarted by the young lady.

”Shen Xingmou!”

Yun Wei turned towards the sound and found a familiar black-veiled, black-skirted girl, not a stranger to her.

Her figure was graceful, eyes like stars, precisely the first genius of Star-picking Tower whom Yun Wei had once encountered and battled on the Hidden Dragon Continent: Shen Xingmou.

Though Shen Xingmou had just stopped the guards’ actions, Yun Wei felt no joy. She clearly knew this eldest lady of Star-picking Tower had once gone to Hidden Dragon Continent to assassinate Yun Xiao.

As for later events, Yun Wei had long returned to Li Yuan Realm, wholly unaware of the upheaval in the relationship between her brother and this genius girl of Star-picking Tower.

”Hmm!”

Shen Xingmou evidently recognized Yun Wei’s identity, yet spoke little, turning instead to coldly ask Steward Ning Fu, ”Steward Ning, what happened?”

”Miss Xingmou, this female thief intruded into our Star-picking Tower’s dungeon and injured Steward Qiao. Hence, I brought people to capture her!”

Facing the direct disciple of Star-picking Tower’s master, Ning Fu, despite his strength outmatching Shen Xingmou, dared not show any disrespect, knowing she was of a different league.

”Alright, this isn’t your concern anymore, all of you leave!”

With Shen Xingmou’s intelligence, she could easily guess the situation and wasn’t interested in Ning Fu’s explanation. Her presence there was clearly to save Yun Wei.

Perhaps even Shen Xingmou herself didn’t know why she repeatedly involved herself in such matters; could it really be due to the rough-clothed boy unseen for over two years?

”This... Miss Xingmou, this person is connected to the blood...”

”Shut up!”

Seeing Ning Fu, in a moment of panic, almost utter the words ”Blood Moon Jade” before the Low-level Guards, Shen Xingmou’s eyes flashed sharply, her voice angrily stopping him under thin silk, making Ning Fu shudder.

”Yes, I apologize, but given the significance of this woman, a decision might require the Great Elder himself!”

Ning Fu realized that his status couldn’t suppress Shen Xingmou, thus he directly invoked the Great Elder, confident that once the Elder knew of it, Yun Wei wouldn’t be easily allowed to leave.

”Humph, thinking of using the Great Elder against me? Well then, let him come find me personally!”

With Shen Xingmou taking none of the bait, she gave a cold snort at the uncertain guards and declared coolly, ”I will take her now; who dares block me?”

This was the moment Shen Xingmou’s dominance shone through. While unsure why this woman previously at odds with her suddenly aided, Yun Wei still followed swiftly.

No matter Ning Fu’s reluctance, he lacked the courage to openly offend Shen Xingmou, let alone the guards. Thus, dozens watched as the two women departed without action.

”Steward Ning, what now?”

One guard, watching the two figures near vanishing from view, couldn’t help but ask, knowing Steward Ning’s thoughts as his trusted subordinate.

”Follow them!”

Ning Fu blinked a few times, then quickly pursued, muttering, ”I refuse to believe Shen Xingmou can overshadow everything in Star-picking Tower!”

...

As for Ning Fu and those guards behind her, Yun Wei didn’t pay much attention. Following Shen Xingmou not far, she finally couldn’t resist the doubt in her heart and asked.

”Shen Xingmou, what on earth are you up to?”

Honestly, Yun Wei didn’t have a great impression of this Star-picking Tower’s genius girl. Firstly, because the Star-picking Tower kidnapped her mother back in the day, causing her near-death experience; and secondly, two years ago during the descent to the Lower Realm, this one was aggressively hostile towards Yun Xiao.

Given the disparity between Yun Xiao and Shen Xingmou at that time, Yun Wei had reason to believe that if she hadn’t appeared in time, her little brother might have long since died under Shen Xingmou’s Jinghong Umbrella.

”I saved you, and now you speak to your savior like this?”

Upon hearing this, Shen Xingmou’s steps did not pause, but she glanced sideways, and this time, her words finally made Yun Wei stop speaking, merely letting out a cold snort.

No matter what the Star-picking Tower’s first genius woman had in mind, Yun Wei at least knew that falling into her hands was definitely better than falling into the hands of that tall and skinny old man.

”Don’t worry, your mother is fine!”

As if knowing what Yun Wei wanted to ask, Shen Xingmou hesitated slightly, and these words made Yun Wei’s figure tremble, directly stepping forward and grabbing her arm.

”You know where my mother is? Can... can I see her?”

This time, Yun Wei broke into the Star-picking Tower alone, aiming to rescue her mother, and she knew that Shen Xingmou held an exceedingly special position within the Star-picking Tower. To let her see her mother wasn’t entirely impossible.

”It’s not impossible to let you see her, but I advise you to give up the idea of rescuing her soon, that’s impossible!”

While walking, Shen Xingmou pondered for a moment before finally nodding, but the following two sentences carried a trace of warning, also indicating her attitude.

”Thank... thank you!”

Her mother’s safety was above all else. At that moment, Yun Wei suddenly felt that this annoying Star-picking Tower’s first genius girl seemed much more pleasing to the eye, and unprecedentedly expressed gratitude.

Yun Wei could even vaguely guess that perhaps it was precisely because of this girl named Shen Xingmou that her mother had not suffered in the Star-picking Tower, but all of this had to wait until she saw her mother to know.

”Stop right there!”

However, just as Shen Xingmou was about to lead Yun Wei towards the forty-eighth floor where she lived, she heard a low voice. This voice made the expressions on both girls’ faces change.

Yun Wei was fine; she didn’t know who had come. But Shen Xingmou’s face under the black veil turned extremely unsightly, for from this voice, she knew exactly who the speaker was.

”Xingmou pays her respects to the Great Elder!”

When a decrepit figure approached with the stride of a dragon and a tiger, revealing his appearance, even Shen Xingmou dared not be slow. She took a step forward, saluted the old man, and respectfully spoke.

”So this person is the Star-picking Tower’s Great Elder Yin Buqun!”

As the Direct Disciple of Ancestor Xuan He, Yun Wei naturally also knew a bit about these real power figures of the Li Yuan Realm’s top forces.

Because the Star-picking Tower did not have a Vice Building Owner, the Great Elder Yin Buqun was a figure above a billion people, under only the Tower Master.

And recalling Ning Fu’s earlier threatening words, Yun Wei felt a vague unease, especially seeing Ning Fu now leading the guards from behind, making her suspect that the situation might change.

”Great Elder, this woman intruded into the Star-picking Tower’s forbidden area, and your subordinate sent people to capture her. Unexpectedly, Miss Xingmou wanted to take her away without saying a word. Please, Great Elder, uphold justice!”

Having seen his greatest support, Ning Fu was instantly revitalized and quickly stepped forward to Yin Buqun, recounting the cause and effect.

He didn’t exaggerate, after all, he didn’t dare to truly offend Shen Xingmou deeply, letting the Great Elder sort out everything himself.

”Great Elder, this person is Shang Li’s daughter and might be related to the Blood Moon Jade!”

The following sentences were whispered by Ning Fu into the Great Elder’s ear, unheard by anyone but Yin Buqun. Upon hearing these words, the Star-picking Tower’s Great Elder’s eyes immediately emitted a brilliant light.

”Oh? Is that so?”

Yin Buqun’s eyes glowed brightly as he turned his gaze to Shen Xingmou, speaking sternly: ”Xingmou, are you taking on too many concerns lately?”

”Great Elder, there may be some misunderstanding here. Let me inquire clearly before making any decisions!”

Though facing the Star-picking Tower Great Elder, Shen Xingmou was not overly intimidated. In fact, she originally could have ignored this matter, making everyone happy without offending Great Elder Yin Buqun.

But somehow, as long as she thought that the person beside her was that guy’s sister, Shen Xingmou instinctively knew she couldn’t stand idly by.

Because she believed if she really allowed Yun Wei to be captured and tortured by Ning Fu and others, when that guy from the Lower Realm found out in the future, they wouldn’t even be able to remain friends.
