Nine Dragons Saint Ancestor

”Vice President, he... he... he actually killed Wushuang?!”

In the northern seats, seeing Bai Wushuang fall to the ground clutching his throat, Guan Rufeng, the Dean of the Heavenly Hospital, shot up from his seat. His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the scene on the stage, his words somewhat incoherent.

As the Dean of the Heavenly Hospital, Bai Wushuang was a once-in-a-century unparalleled talent. Guan Rufeng never expected Yun Xiao could really kill Bai Wushuang on the stage.

How could he have known the result would be like this? For a moment, Guan Rufeng couldn’t react, everything felt like being in a dream.

”Elder Guan, how likely do you think the things Wushuang and Qingchen did in the Refining Treasure Hall are?”

Qian Sanyuan did not answer Guan Rufeng’s question, or perhaps he thought it didn’t need answering. His expression grew solemn as he asked a question in return, causing Qingmu Wu next to him to turn his head.

His question naturally referred to the scandal Yun Xiao and Mo Qing accused Bai Wushuang and Liu Qingchen of at that time. The truth of this matter has never been conclusively resolved until now.

Qian Sanyuan gave Bai Wushuang a month’s confinement without much consequence, making Guan Rufeng think the issue would be left unresolved. Yet, unexpectedly, the former brought up the old matter at this moment, with implications.

”Oh, Elder Guan, both you and I know very little. Over the past month, I’ve focused on the actions of Wushuang and Qingchen and have learned quite a bit!”

The Vice President of Lianyun Mountain showed a trace of heartache, pointing towards a certain one-armed young man, and continued, ”Do you know how many unforgivable sordid deeds Liu Qingchen has done behind your back as a teacher?”

As Qian Sanyuan spoke, he pulled several sheets of paper from his Waist Storage and handed them to Guan Rufeng, whose hands trembled slightly as he accepted them.

”This... this... this beast!”

Guan Rufeng steadied himself, finally insisting on reading the contents of those pages, and his voice trembled as he gave the evaluation of ”beast” in the end.

The sheets detailed Liu Qingchen’s actions over the years, from his infamous lecherous nature encouraging women to voluntarily embrace him, to numerous disciples from Lianyun Mountain or decent women around Lianyun Mountain falling victim to his deeds.

These women had no power or influence and were unable to speak up due to Liu Qingchen’s status as the Heavenly Hospital’s second talent, combined with his formidable strength and astounding talent.

Over the years, all that Guan Rufeng saw and heard as a teacher was Liu Qingchen’s well-mannered facade. He never imagined his proud disciple was so sordid in secret, almost bursting his lungs with rage.

”There was a lady, once quite close with Qing’er, who was once Liu Qingchen’s lover. Later, she was abandoned due to his fickle nature. From her, I learned about certain plots between Liu Qingchen and Bai Wushuang. This trip to the Refining Treasure Hall was where they implemented their final plan!”

Qian Sanyuan ignored Guan Rufeng’s somber expression and continued speaking, and those beside him picked up on a few things from his words.

”Vice Dean, you really have labored well in your efforts!”

Qingmu Wu, witnessing the entire process, looked at Bai Wushuang, confined for a month, and now lying cold on the stage. Suddenly understanding the reason behind Qian Sanyuan’s earlier decision.

”Yes, I have faith in Yun Xiao, and I know what he and Qing’er said was not false. So, I wanted to give him a chance, a dignified opportunity for the Refining Cloud Mountain disciples to respect and admire!”

Qian Sanyuan finally revealed his true intention, indicating that previously confining Bai Wushuang for a month wasn’t genuine punishment but rather a way to let Yun Xiao exact his major revenge at this annual competition.

However, even Qian Sanyuan hadn’t expected that the two, whom he thought might meet at the final battle, would encounter each other earlier, and this fight ended with Yun Xiao achieving a sweeping victory.

Perhaps even Qian Sanyuan hadn’t foreseen that Bai Wushuang would break through to the half-step Earth Realm during his month of confinement. At least at the beginning of this fight, even he wasn’t completely sure Yun Xiao had a hundred percent chance of winning and was prepared to intervene if necessary.

If someone like Bai Wushuang died at Yun Xiao’s hands, it would be deserved, but Qian Sanyuan certainly couldn’t bear to see Yun Xiao face a wrongful death. Fortunately, the result didn’t require him to act.

Bai Wushuang was once Qian Sanyuan’s most prized disciple, someone he always intended to nurture as a successor. It’s only natural that he felt heartache.

But despite the pain, Qian Sanyuan, who loathes evil, sentenced Bai Wushuang to death in his heart after discovering their despicable deeds.

Even if Bai Wushuang hadn’t died at Yun Xiao’s hands this time, Qian Sanyuan would find a way to personally dispose of this immoral person to avoid tarnishing his lifelong reputation.

Fortunately, Yun Xiao did not disappoint. On the stage of the annual competition, he openly and honorably killed Bai Wushuang. In this way, Qian Sanyuan managed to clean house, and Yun Xiao avenged Mo Qing’s humiliation, satisfactory to all.

Other than Guan Rufeng and Qingmu Wu, the rest of the elders of Lianyun Mountain were listening in confusion to this internal affair, and it wasn’t something they were able to comment on.

Because they knew clearly that their mentor’s disgraceful disciple’s actions might have infuriated these two greatly, it was best not to provoke their anger now.

......

On the arena stage.

Under everyone’s strange and awe-filled gazes, the coarse-clothed youth merely glanced indifferently at Bai Wushuang’s corpse, then decisively turned around, heading off the stage.

Yun Xiao’s actions confused the crowd momentarily, as this year’s tournament wasn’t over yet. Was the youth going to abandon the championship fight?

As it turned out, the observing Meridian Refining Masters weren’t wrong because the coarse-clothed youth didn’t say goodbye to anyone, but directly waved to Li Gongnian of the Spirit Fighting Commerce, then the two of them walked out of the arena hall at Lianyun Mountain, disappearing from everyone’s sight.

”This...”

Witnessing this, everyone was somewhat stunned, unable to recover from their daze. Could it be that Yun Xiao’s purpose in participating in this Lianyun Mountain tournament was merely to kill Bai Wushuang? This was too baffling.

”Ye Ku, senior brother, should we… still compete?”

Those who felt most awkward on the field were Ye Ku and Si Mo because their original opponent for this round had turned into a lifeless corpse, while the other turned and left decisively, putting them in a rather embarrassing situation.

”What are we competing for?!”

Ye Ku’s mood was a mix of frustration and helplessness, like having an intense fighting spirit rise within only to punch into soft cotton, leaving him extremely discontented.

In Ye Ku’s mind, Bai Wushuang was already his biggest rival for this tournament, and after the trip to the Refining Treasure Hall, he gained another opponent, Yun Xiao.

Due to this round’s draw, Ye Ku always viewed Bai Wushuang and Yun Xiao as opponents he needed to crush, but who knew these two rivals would fight each other first, ending in one’s death and the other’s retreat, leaving him profoundly frustrated.

Entering the top four were Ye Ku and Si Mo, and Ye Ku knew very well the prowess of the latter, of course. The most critical point was that even if he defeated Si Mo and won the championship this time, it would be undeserved.

As seen from the previous battle, Bai Wushuang’s half-step Earth Realm strength was evidently above Ye Ku’s, and Yun Xiao, who defeated Bai Wushuang, had a prowess that was even more apparent to everyone.

Yet the one who beat Bai Wushuang didn’t even give Ye Ku a chance to fight. At this point, if Ye Ku was asked to take the stage and compete against Si Mo for the championship, with his pride as Sky Poison Institute’s foremost talent, he naturally wouldn’t agree.

”Someday, I’ll fight that guy properly!”

Staring at the disappearing figure of Yun Xiao at the hall entrance, Ye Ku eventually muttered resentfully this sentence, then leisurely left the arena hall under everyone’s watchful eyes.

”I… I’m leaving too!”

Realizing all eyes were on him, Si Mo didn’t have thoughts of becoming champion. His eyes flickered briefly, and he fled almost as if in panic, chasing after Ye Ku’s departing figure.

”What kind of situation is this!”

Witnessing the young talents vanish at the hall’s door, everyone looked at one another with perplexed expressions, feeling the rise of an extremely bizarre sentiment. This sort of tournament event was something they had never encountered before.

”Ye Ku, that kid is actually to my liking!”

In the northern seating area, Qingmu Wu watched Ye Ku turning away and couldn’t help but reveal a slight smile on his face. Having observed Bai Wushuang and Liu Qingchen’s unprincipled actions, Ye Ku’s conduct at this moment was undoubtedly much more honorable.

If Ye Ku stayed for the final battle, the championship for this tournament would have been certainly in his grasp, and the ounces and measures of Si Mo were clear as day in Qingmu Wu’s mind.

But Ye Ku evidently didn’t want to take the easy win. With the earlier battle between Bai Wushuang and Yun Xiao in mind, even if he attained the champion’s title, it wouldn’t be deserved, as he hadn’t defeated the two strongest individuals.

”Then who should be awarded the championship this year?”

One Elder from Sky Poison Institute scratched his head and posed a question that was on everyone’s mind, only to see the Vice President and the two Deans simultaneously turn their heads and look at him as if he were a fool, leaving him somewhat bewildered.
