Time slowly passed by. The distant girl seemed to be lost in thought.

However, after a long while, just when Yu Zi Yu’s patience was nearly exhausted, a strand of crystalline hair floated gently towards him.

“This is a strand of the Quintessence, sufficient for you to transform, even to reach Tier-6…” A faint voice echoed from afar, accompanied by the gradually disappearing figure of the girl.

With a flick of his branch, Yu Zi Yu caught the strand of hair, his eyes flickering with a sharp gleam.

[It worked.] murmuring in his heart, Yu Zi Yu began to retract his main body. Even the countless Roots in Skyhaven slowly withdrew.

…

*Rumble, rumble…* Space around Skyhaven rippled once again, prompting countless people in Skyhaven to breathe a sigh of relief.

Because the next moment the countless Trees rising from the ground in Skyhaven began to wither, as if they had lost their vitality. However, upon closer inspection, it seemed that more than half of the resources in Skyhaven had disappeared.

Even a few Superhumans seemed to be missing.

Although it was not advisable to go against that woman’s wishes, Yu Zi Yu believed that it would not be too much to take some gifts before leaving.

Yu Zi Yu only took two Superhumans with him: One was the famous Master of Magnetism — Yule, and the other was a black man — Allen.

Allen was the target simply because Ling Er detested him, so Yu Zi Yu conveniently erased him from this world.

…

At this time, if one were to look at Yu Zi Yu’s expression in the depths of the Void Space, they would find it to be grim. He was aware of that was contingency plans left by Human Immortals, but he had no idea that such a monstrosity would be a part of it.

[Damn… I almost got caught in this trap.] Coldly smiling in his heart, a segment of Yu Zi Yu’s Cosmic Root moved.

The next moment, deep within China, in the residence of the one aspiring to become the Human Emperor…

*Rumble…* Accompanied by the trembling of Earth, a segment of the Cosmic Root emerged out of thin air.

“Oh…” Suddenly, a surprised exclamation echoed in the room from the man inside.

“I managed to survive your contingency plan…” Stating in a cold voice, Yu Zi Yu cast a deep glance at the unremarkable middle-aged man in the distant darkness.

He was the one in actual control of China, known to be one of the top experts in China. However, not long ago, he almost died at Yu Zi Yu’s hands. After all, China did not need two rulers; one Ling Er was enough.

Fortunately, he successfully managed to bargain his life using the so-called ‘Human Race Secrets.’

“It seems that the contingency plan did not manage to kill you,” In a regretful voice, an inexplicable bitterness blanketed the middle-aged man’s face. He was supposed to dominate the world, but he had not anticipated encountering such a monster.

[In just a few years, this monster has already unravelled the mysteries of the Soul and stepped into Tier-5. What a monster!] Sighing in his heart, the middle-aged man’s gaze grew even more complex.

“My death would bring you no benefit. Besides, you mentioned that Human Immortals are not fond of your Human Emperor orthodoxy.” Yu Zi Yu stated with a cold and playful laugh, before his Cosmic Root disappeared from his residence, without waiting for the middle-aged man’s response.

It was no secret that the Human Race had Immortals, but the contingency plan left behind by them was the greatest of the greatest taboos.

However, according to this Human Emperor, the contingency plan had too many limitations. Among other things, the stronger the girl became, the more blurred her self-awareness became, which was evident.

She was just a tool. Moreover, she could only act in times of Human crisis.

Of course, that was not the most important thing. The most crucial point was that Immortals should not exist in this era, not even as a contingency plan.

If her existence was exposed, the first to act would be the Consciousness of Cosmic Source, and that would be truly catastrophic for her. Therefore, that girl’s retreat was necessary.

However, one unfortunate thing was… that girl, no, the figures by the chessboard seemed to have miscalculated by one step.

For instance, Yu Zi Yu was once an inheritor of Jianmu.

Even though he had rejected the inheritance, the important fact was that he once had it. In other words, Yu Zi Yu had the potential to contact Heaven.

With a cold laugh, Yu Zi Yu used the Void Space to escape to the Moon.

…

Half a day later, dense mist covered the entire Moon, submerging it in a sea of fog.

“Master,” In a voice both affectionate and somewhat anxious, a Sweet Osmanthus Tree gently swayed.

“We will catch up later; I have things to handle first.” Gently stroking the Sweet Osmanthus’ canopy, Yu Zi Yu immediately focused his mind into the depths of his true form.

At the same time, that green, crystalline long hair, or a strand of the Quintessence to be precise, also submerged into the sea of Spiritual Energy.

[These strands of Quintessence is truly terrifying. In the past, a strand of Jianmu’s Quintessence helped me perfect the Nine Realms of Heavens and step into Tier-5. What an extraordinary existence to create something like this…]

[Haaaa…] Sneering in his heart, Yu Zi Yu marvelled at the power of that being, and its craftiness. He was certain of one thing: Quintessence with a Master still alive was not a good thing.

Although he did not know what kind of methods that existence had, thinking from another perspective, Yu Zi Yu believed that if he was in that Immortal’s shoes, he definitely wanted to refine a Divine Entity like him into a puppet to protect the Human Race.

This was not to say that Yu Zi Yu was a petty person underestimating others. Rather, it was just him being precautious. After all, caution was the parent to safety.

[So…Whether you are plotting against me or not, you deserve to face whatever tribulation is coming for you!] Coldly snorting in his heart, Yu Zi Yu drew the last trace of the Jianmu’s Quintessence from the depths of his true form.

…

At that very moment, deep in the distant starry sky…

*Boooooom…* A thunderous clap shook the starry sky. The source of this was a Divine Tree rooted deep in the starry sky. Its branches were gently swaying, and its appearance resembled an Ox.

After a moment, it seemed to realize something.

*Hmph…* A cold snort full of apparent anger shook the starry sky. At this time, if one looked at the leaves of this Divine Tree, they would surely see the scene of Yu Zi Yu and that girl standing face to face.

Moreover, and more importantly, that strand of the Quintessence granted to Yu Zi Yu had crossed time and space, and appeared before the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu.

“The Human Race truly has great means.” It seemed like admiration, yet also mockery.

In the vast depths of the starry sky, space suddenly trembled as a cold, ruthless eye, covering the starry sky, appeared for a brief moment and then vanished.
