Hallucinogen was an ability that induced sensory confusion and distorted one’s mind. As this ability advanced to Level 2, it gained an even formidable: the ability to effortlessly influence and manipulate the minds of others, even to the extent of rewriting their memories.

At first, Yu Zi Yu considered using this ability to conceal his own existence.

But after giving it a deeper thought, he soon realized the risks involved in tampering with memories. There was always a chance of them reverting back, which only led to unforeseen dangers.

Because of these reasons, this ability rarely displayed its full potential in Yu Zi Yu’s hands.

However, things were different now.

Yu Zi Yu smiled in his heart as the very air started vibrating ever so slightly.

Silently, an invisible force suddenly surged forth.

*Rooaar…* A spine-chilling roar reverberated through the sky as the gigantic tiger with wings on its back and a massive body spanning over twenty meters gained something extra. There had to be a subtle change in its expression.

However, if one had been attentive enough, they would have definitely noticed that the Cloud Winged Tiger’s former stoic expression was long gone.

*Rooaar…* Amidst a resonating roar, the Mist Beast, Cloud Winged Tiger slowly opened its massive jaws.

And in that precise moment…

The White Tiger’s instincts abruptly alerted him to an imminent danger, and an exponentially escalating danger at that.

Indeed, the danger level had exponentially surged.

The White Tiger had no idea why the danger level had suddenly surged, but the overwhelming sense of crisis made his fur stand on end.

Lifting his gaze, the White Tiger noticed a menacing vortex within the Cloud Winged Tiger’s gaping jaws.

*Howl…* As the piercing howl reached the White Tiger’s ears, he instinctively launched himself into the air.

At the same time, the massive tornado, that was as fierce and awe-inspiring as before, shot toward the earth.

*Boom!* An earth-shattering explosion resounded across the sky. The unleashed might of this attack was many times greater than before, surpassing any prior display of force.

The earth quaked, and the mist rolled back in all directions.

In a flash, the battlefield appeared as if it was hit by a small earthquake.

As the White Tiger raised his gaze and noticed the vast crater, stretching dozens of meters wide in the wake of the attack, he was completely shocked.

His pupils shrank to the size of the tips of needles. The White Tiger was in total disbelief. He was struggling to comprehend as to how the same attack that had failed to breach its defenses could now effortlessly rip through the earth. He could not comprehend it, he really could not.

However, at this moment, what never occurred to White Tiger was to consider whether everything he had seen was real or not.

In another corner…

Yu Zi Yu was bemused by the frantic evasion of the White Tiger.

As a matter of fact, the Cloud Winged Tiger was really incapable of conjuring such a devastating breath. However, that did not imply that Yu Zi Yu could not.

In the cover of the Hallucinogen ability, the White Tiger’s senses had been skillfully manipulated.

The Cloud Winged Tiger remained the Cloud Winged Tiger, and the unleashed tornado was still the very same tornado. However, at the very moment the tornado struck the earth, roots hidden in the ground instantly emerged along the tornado. Next, all Yu Zi Yu did was employ his Hallucinogen ability to subtly suggest to the White Tiger that these roots were an integral part of the mist itself.

In other words, what White Tiger saw was nothing but dense mist. Meanwhile, Yu Zi Yu beheld a different sight. Within the veil of mist, he witnessed black roots, reminiscent of venomous serpents, swiftly striking out.

“Heewww…” Yu Zi Yu let out a deep breath, a slight smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.

There was no denying that the Hallucinogen ability was quite peculiar. It could interfere with the thoughts of living beings and influence their perception. When combined with the Mist Beasts he had created, the resulting combination could only be described as terrifying.

Chuckling to himself, Yu Zi Yu could not help but feel relieved.

The experiment had concluded. The primary results looked promising. However, further tests and practical applications were still required.

Yet, before delving deeper, Yu Zi Yu cast a glance at the White Tiger, who remained on very much alert, staring at the Cloud Winged Tiger.

Shaking his head with a sigh, Yu Zi Yu muttered, “What a stupid Tiger.”

Yu Zi Yu could not help but feel frustrated by the White Tiger’s lack of intelligence.

While other creatures and Humans could not see through because they did not know anything…

The White Tiger, despite being aware of Yu Zi Yu’s ability to manipulate dense mist, failed to discern the true nature of the Mist Beasts.

“Haiz…” With a resigned sigh, Yu Zi Yu swung his branch.

In a moment, much to White Tiger’s astonishment, the Mist Beast completely dissipated, leaving only a dense fog that once again enveloped the forest. Occasionally, faint beastly roars which were actually howling of wind could be heard.

…

At night…

While a hazy veil of darkness blanketed North Canyon, it remained shrouded in an eerie silence as ever.

Yet, on this particular night, besides White Tiger, Humans, as well as Mutant Beasts bore witness to the existence of the Mist Beasts.

*Roar…* A roar as if coming from the distant past resounded as one Mist Beast after another emerged from the dense fog, prowling around the vicinity of the canyon.

“Divine Tree, what are you doing?” Observing a Mist Beast nearby, which bore a striking resemblance to the Honey Badger, Qian Qin could not contain her curiosity and mumbled.

These beasts of mist possessed an uncanny peculiarity, yes, peculiarity.

At a glance, they appeared lively, as if imbued with life itself. However, when Qian Qin reached out to touch them, they would disperse back into mist, dispersing amidst the surrounding trees.

But not loong after, much to her shock and awe, the mist would coalesce once again, reassembling into identical forms.

“Erm…” Rendered speechless, Qian Qin turned to face Qing Gang, who stood with arms crossed, bearing a solemn expression on his face as he gazed at the Mist Beasts one after another.

“Qing Gang, what’s the matter with you?” Approaching him, Qian Qin asked, her voice filled with surprise.

“It’s…nothing.” Qing Gang shook his head in response, but his gaze remained fixed upon the swirling vortex of mist in the sky.

Faintly, there were echoes of Fox howls, akin to coming straight from ancient times, emanating from a massive vortex of massive vortex of mist.

It was only when he heard this Fox call that Qing Gang exhaled a long breath. [As expected, these strange things are created by the Divine Tree!]

To him they were indeed strange. They possessed physical forms, yet they were intangible and impervious to physical attacks.

Furthermore, every time Qing Gang’s mind replayed the vivid image he witnessed at the break of dawn, on the outskirts of North Canyon, the ethereal Fox of mist biting effortlessly through sturdy tree trunk, and the colossal Dragon’s breath sending a person soaring through the air, Qing Gang’s gaze could not stop flickering.

These creatures of mist were truly strange. They possessed the ability to inflict harm upon others, while remaining impervious to retaliation.
