I Have A Cultivation World

Chapter 2509: Chapter 1125: Establishing Artifact Refining Regulations and Standards

As Dustless True Monarch and Ao Yuxia were talking, Chen Mobai’s Fire Spirit Robe’s flames burst forth, and its spirituality surged.

Yuwen Baozhi and the others no longer paid attention to Chen Mobai’s technique, as it was not a matter of technique but of skill level.

However, after this lesson, they completely abandoned the idea that Rank-5 artifact refining depended on luck and established a new knowledge system. They believed that by following this path, they would eventually be able to independently refine a Rank-5 magic artifact and become a genuine Rank-5 Artifact Refiner.

At this moment, the blaze from the Fire Spirit Robe grew even more intense, its extravagant golden flames prompting a slight nod from Dustless True Monarch.

This was the Innate Sun True Fire that the Golden Flame Manticore prided itself on, a very powerful Rank-5 flame, which even he had suffered losses from back in the day.

Within the blazing light, the second head of the Golden Flame Manticore became increasingly clear, its eyes flashing with a fervent, agile light. Clearly, the True Spirit power within the robe was activated, causing its spirituality to awaken fully.

All the artifact refiners present were shocked by this spectacle; they never expected that after a successful Enlightenment, the spirituality could grow even further.

In the past, in the Tianhe Realm, once Rank-5 artifacts achieved spirituality, it generally didn’t change, and at most, would be nurtured later with a Lifespan Artifact for enhancement.

In Chen Mobai’s hands, however, the birth of spirituality was only the beginning, and it could actually further improve by activating the potential of the artifact’s materials.

Such Artifact Refining Technique was unheard of.

Chen Mobai seemed to understand their confusion, so he explained again: “The key to artifact refining lies in the quality of the materials. No matter how high one’s skill, without top-ranked materials, refining a Rank-5 artifact is impossible. Materials of Rank-5 and above are often rich in spirituality. If only a portion is awakened during Enlightenment, the rest will be lost over time. Therefore, it is crucial to fully awaken and enliven them at the moment of artifact completion and Enlightenment.”

As he finished speaking, the Golden Flame Manticore on the Fire Spirit Robe let out a thunderous roar, with the golden flames surging skyward, almost enveloping the entire plaza’s sky. Its body began to swell, and a third head subtly emerged amid the seemingly infinite power of the Fire Vein.

Everyone present felt a strong sense of oppression, even Dustless True Monarch and Ao Yuxia, both Deity Transformation True Monarchs, had somber expressions, as if confronting a living True Spirit.

Seeing this, Chen Mobai nodded lightly and continued to invoke “The Union of Differences,” causing intricate gold and red lines to appear on the Fire Spirit Robe, sketching lifelike Golden Flame Manticores.

With his final movement, the Golden Flame Manticore pattern on the robe seemed to come to life, and at that moment, the third head of the Artifact Spirit stepping on the golden flames solidified completely, reaching a strange resonance with it.

The final surge of golden flames wrapped around the three-headed Artifact Spirit and descended. The flames on the robe were no longer just burning, but formed a tapestry woven from flames, all the flames merging within, introverted yet flowing.

“Not bad, as I expected, it’s Fifth Rank Superior Grade.”

Chen Mobai satisfactorily retrieved the Fire Spirit Robe, examined it as usual, and handed it to the eagerly awaiting Yuwen Baozhi and the others.

The four of them moved forward simultaneously, each grabbing a corner of the robe.

After exchanging glances, the four of them immediately began to examine it together.

Roar!

Yet, their movements seemed to greatly displease the Artifact Spirit of the robe, which let out an angry roar. The vivid Golden Flame Manticore flame patterns on the back of the robe seemed to leap out, baring their fangs and brandishing their claws at them.

This scene left Yuwen Baozhi and the three others shocked yet delighted, indicating that the spiritual intensity of this robe far exceeded any Rank-5 magic artifact they had seen before.

“Is… is this really a Fifth Rank Superior Grade?”

Yuwen Baozhi asked incredulously; he himself possessed a Fifth Rank Superior Grade Defensive Magic Weapon, but its spirituality was, in comparison to this robe, as different as a lion and a kitten.

“You all have some talent in Artifact Refining Technique. If you diligently study this path, you could also reach this realm.”

Chen Mobai gave a final word of encouragement as a conclusion. In the Tianhe Realm, there were plenty of Rank-5 materials, and with the identity and status these people held, practicing with these high-end materials might not guarantee success every time, but at least one or two pieces would be possible.

Finally, he beckoned to Xiao Yuli and the other two to come over as well.

After everyone had examined the Fire Spirit Robe, this session of artifact refining was considered complete.

From then on, Chen Mobai was undoubtedly the number one Artifact Refiner in the East Continent, and could even compete for the top spot in the Tianhe Realm, as no one in this realm had ever refined a Sixth Rank Artifact.

Next, Chen Mobai would refine the Raccoon Teeth Double Hook Sword, but this would not be made public, as they weren’t his disciples, after all, he couldn’t teach them everything.

Once the artifact refining was complete, Chen Mobai collected the two robes into his bag, then invited Dustless True Monarch and others to enjoy tea in a high tower he had prepared earlier.

Besides the two Deity Transformation True Monarchs, Nascent Soul Cultivators from holy lands like Palace Master Azure Fall were also invited.

During this time, Dustless True Monarch was the first to inquire about artifact refining, and Chen Mobai selected his responses, yet even so, the knowledge he imparted was a whole new world the artifact refiners of the Eastern Continent had never heard of before.

“Young friend, I have a premonition that in the coming centuries, the artifact refining industry in the Eastern Continent will flourish because of your teachings today.”

Dustless True Monarch said this with a smile. After Yuan Qingque left, he originally thought he would have to bitterly support the Righteous Path of the Eastern Continent, and his hair had turned quite white from worry. Who knew that Chen Mobai, a brilliant junior Deity Transformation, would ease his pressure instantly.

Moreover, this unprecedented public refining of a Fifth Rank Artifact allowed many artifact refiners here who were working behind closed doors to see the correct path forward.

At least the seven artifact refiners participating this time could go back and digest what they learned, and it wouldn’t be surprising if one or two Fifth Rank Artifact Refiners emerged.

“An industry that remains complacent surely cannot progress. I intend to soon publish a standardized book about artifact refining, to establish an open and impartial standard for artifacts in the Eastern Continent. This way, all cultivators, when trading or custom-making artifacts, can have a basis to set prices, etc.”

Chen Mobai spoke about something he had wanted to do for a long time. In the Eastern Continent, the grade of artifacts was often very subjective.

Some artifacts could exhibit Rank-2 power, and even if they were incomplete or had malfunctioning restrictions, they would be classified as Rank-2. Of course, some people wouldn’t acknowledge this, and disputes would occur during transactions.

Once Chen Mobai established standards and specifications for all artifacts, future trade using artifact grades as references would have a basis, giving guidance to what was a chaotic artifact refining industry.

“This is a good thing, much like when our sect’s ancestors set the grade standards for the alchemy industry.”

Dustless True Monarch knew what Chen Mobai wanted to do as soon as he heard, and since Chen Mobai was a Deity Transformation True Monarch of the Eastern Continent, he had this qualification.

Previously, when Yi Yuan True Monarch was around, he also thought about doing this, but due to its complexity and cumbersome nature, they only set standards for Fourth and Fifth Rank Artifacts, leaving the rest to market choice.

But the alchemy industry was different; the Dao Morale Sect had clear directories and norms, specifying what elixirs had what effects, the materials used, and other comprehensive scores. Ninety percent of elixirs could refer to these standards for grade determination, and even if something was not covered, going to the Grass Hall of the Dao Morale Sect for evaluation could yield a standard grade.

In the entire Eastern Continent, only the elixir industry had such clear standards and regulations.

This wasn’t a one-time fix but a process that required ongoing improvement over time. Since the Dao Morale Sect had been a sacred land since ancient times, their standards were recognized every time they updated over thousands of years.

If Chen Mobai was willing to regulate the artifact refining market, Dustless True Monarch was happy to see it happen.

“Then after I refine the Raccoon Teeth Double Hooks Sword, I’ll begin preparing this artifact refining standard and specification.”

After Chen Mobai discussed it with Dustless True Monarch, there were basically no obstacles left for this plan.

After all, in the entire Eastern Continent, the four holy lands were the ones that made the decisions.

The Taixu MiaoMiao Palace only cared about the monopoly on teleportation arrays, while the Nine Heavens Morality Sect might be interested in the flying sword aspect. When Chen Mobai published his book, he could invite Ye Qing and others to write a few articles on sword-shaped artifact specifications as references.

After hearing the conversation between the two Deity Transformation True Monarchs, the artifact refiners like Elder Jing Chi in attendance all looked at Chen Mobai with full respect and awe.

If this succeeded, there was no doubt that Chen Mobai would become the greatest legendary figure in the history of Eastern Continent artifact refining.

“Mr. Chen’s grand ambition commands my admiration. This time, my son’s artifact refining technique greatly improved, and he successfully advanced to a Fifth Rank Artifact Refiner. As thanks, I happen to have a piece of Rank-6 Purple Fire Gold Copper to offer as a gift.”

Ao Yuxia suddenly spoke up, producing a jade box.

Purple Fire Gold Copper is the same as Purple-Gold Fire Copper from the Immortal Gate, although the names are different, their nature is the same. Clearly, this was not just a coincidence but well-prepared.

Chen Mobai was about to refuse, but his words stopped at his lips.

With this, his Douluo Eight Scenic Lantern could be upgraded to Rank-6.

But accepting such a valuable gift without any reason held great cause and effect.

Previously, the Nine Heavens Morality Sect had given him a piece of Nine Heavens Mysterious Thunder Metal because the favor was indeed immense, making Chen Mobai feel assured in accepting it.

Thinking of what Ao Yuxia had said earlier, Chen Mobai hesitated for a moment.

In the end, he shook his head and refused: “I cannot accept a reward without earning it; the gifts previously given by Yuxia True Monarch were already sufficient.”
