I Have A Cultivation World

Chapter 2349: Chapter 1060: The Five Elements Immortal Spirit Root’s Plan (Part 4)

The Five Elements Sect possesses outstanding heritage in various aspects of the Hundred Arts of Cultivation Immortal, but is somewhat lacking in the area of beast taming, and has always sought methods to address this deficiency.

Due to his exceptional expertise in beast taming, Mei Longzheng has been appointed as one of the lecturers by the Spirit Beast Department, and reportedly preparations are underway for him to teach at the Scholarly Mansion.

No wonder he’s a Great Sage and Good Teacher; even the Sect Leader pays so much attention to educational endeavors.

After investigating Mei Longzheng’s background, Ruan Lilong couldn’t help but internally laud this.

He feels that the rise of the Five Elements Sect is chiefly because Sect Master Chen excels in educational affairs.

In recent years, aside from the officially established Scholarly Mansions by the Five Elements Sect, various cultivation families and sect powers have been setting up tutoring classes and small academies like mushrooms after rain across the major Immortal Cities under the Five Elements Sect’s banner.

What they are teaching also comes from the textbooks crafted by Chen Mobai and Qing Nu within the Scholarly Mansions, and they hire teachers from within the Scholarly Mansion.

Initially, these cultivation families wanted to give their offspring an early start, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the content of these textbooks before enrollment, learning ahead.

In this way, they could seize opportunities one step at a time. If fortunate enough to become the top graduating student of the Scholarly Mansion, the Five Elements Sect would directly reward them with a Foundation Building Pill.

And in recent years, these cultivation families and other powers of the Eastern Wilderness following the Five Elements Sect have been heavily investing in infrastructure, reaping substantial profits, hence spending lavishly to poach teachers from the Scholarly Mansion.

Chen Mobai has just learned about this matter.

He believes this approach is untenable.

The original intent of establishing a Scholarly Mansion was to enable the Five Elements Sect to gather all the geniuses under its banner, but this way, the initial standouts in the Scholarly Mansion would be those nurtured by the powerful factions.

With each grade’s resources being allocated according to rankings, it would cause truly gifted individuals among the commonfolk to be overlooked.

Although Chen Mobai knows that achieving absolute fairness and justice is impossible in any world, he prefers to strive for it as much as possible.

Thus, he ordered a prohibition on the Scholarly Mansion teachers under the Five Elements Sect from accepting external forces’ invitations, whether for teaching or private tutoring.

Once discovered, warnings, revocation of teaching qualifications, and even direct sect legal actions would be applied.

Aside from external teachers being lured away by massive amounts of Spirit Stones, those with a Five Elements Sect background would immediately clear themselves.

Fortunately, when Chen Mobai issued this decree, he also stated that all past occurrences would be left untreated.

Hiring Mei Longzheng to teach beast taming was already on the agenda long ago, but when King Zhou approved it, he instinctively conducted a background investigation, revealing his true origin from the Beast Taming Sect.

Therefore, the hiring process for Mei Longzheng was stalled at King Zhou.

After finding out about this, Chen Mobai felt the individual could prove quite useful.

Inside the grand hall.

Mei Longzheng was escorted by King Zhou, and upon seeing Chen Mobai, his legs went weak.

Initially, King Zhou called him over, thinking it was just the ruler of East Wu who wanted to see him.

He was pondering over what the matter could be, only to find out that it was actually this Killing God who wanted to meet him.

”The Dreamcatcher Academy has always mentioned the lack of outstanding beast taming teachers. I’ve seen Mr. Mei’s resume, it’s highly suitable; would you be willing to honor us by teaching future disciples of my Five Elements Sect?”

With Mei Longzheng trembling all over, Chen Mobai nevertheless spoke these words gently.

”Ah... It would be my honor!”

Mei Longzheng exclaimed in surprise and immediately swallowed, respectfully indicating his acceptance.

The head of the Stormy Immortal City’s Spirit Beast Department had already proposed this matter to him long ago, but with no response for such a long time, he thought it had fallen through.

Unexpectedly, it needed personal approval from this individual.

The Five Elements Sect indeed lays excessive emphasis on education.

”Very good, very good; besides that, there is something else. To ensure every teacher’s ideological and moral standing is unproblematic, our sect will conduct background investigations on each teacher. We found Mr. Mei originates from the Eastern Land Beast Taming Sect; what brings you to the Eastern Wilderness seeking livelihood?”

Though Chen Mobai suspected his reasons for being here, he wanted to hear the explanation personally.

”Reporting to Sect Master Chen, I came here under orders; as your sect’s influence continues to grow stronger, our Beast Taming Sect also plans to expand its market here, even bringing the Commerce Association over.”

”However, due to my limited abilities, not only did I fail to establish the Beast Taming Sect’s reputation, but I became lazy, barely able to make ends meet using skills learned within the sect.”

”But over the years, I genuinely fell in love with this place. I even took a loan recently to buy a house, intending to remain here for the rest of my life without returning to the East Land.”

Mei Longzheng definitely wouldn’t mention his mission to monitor the Yellow Dragon Cave Mansion.

Instead, he stated reasons he had carefully thought out beforehand.

His explanation seemed seamless.

”That’s very good, allowing Mr. Mei to find belonging here is worthwhile after my decade-long efforts in developing the Eastern Wilderness and establishing various Immortal Cities.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Mobai appeared quite pleased.

”By the way, earlier your sect’s Great Elder Mu Youyi mentioned he learned from the Beast Taming Sect’s spies sent to the Eastern Wilderness that my Spirit Beast, the Devouring Heaven Serpent, is cultivating the sect’s secret True Spirit Transformation Method; they wanted me to explain this. Does Mr. Mei know anything about this matter?”

After Chen Mobai spoke these words with a smiling face, Mei Longzheng suddenly knelt down, trembling all over, bowing numerous times.

”Sect Master Chen, it has nothing to do with me, I’m merely following orders.”

”After all, I was initially a part of the Beast Taming Sect and still held fantasies about the sect.”

”But truly, I wish to restart my life here in the Eastern Wilderness now, genuinely spend the remainder peacefully. Sect Master Chen, when your True Spirit Yellow Dragon recently underwent tribulation, I pretended ignorance, refraining from relaying the news back to the Beast Taming Sect.”

”I beg you to spare my life; I am willing to sever ties with the Beast Taming Sect and devote my lifetime to serving the Five Elements Sect...”

Mei Longzheng’s lengthy pleas stirred King Zhou at the side, narrow-eyed and plotting to take action.

This type of killing, definitely wouldn’t sully the Sect Master’s hands; he’d handle it as his duty.

”Huh, didn’t Mr. Mei relay the information back?”

Chen Mobai, upon hearing this, asked in surprise.

”Absolutely true, I can swear!”

Mei Longzheng immediately raised his hand, proving his allegiance to the Five Elements Sect in this matter.

”How could that be, Mr. Mei, as a disciple of the Beast Taming Sect, being so is an eternal truth; you must relay this message back and ensure your sect’s Great Elder Mu Youyi learns of it.”

At this point, Chen Mobai stood up, personally raised Mei Longzheng, speaking words that left both him and King Zhou astounded.

”Ah?”

”Is Mr. Mei unwilling to relay the message?”

Chen Mobai squinted and asked, causing Mei Longzheng to nod intensely like a pounding garlic.

”Relay, relay, I’ll relay it right away!”
