Inheriting A Divine Cultivation Clan At The Start, All My Juniors Are Empresses

”Big brother, I’m back. How have you been lately?”

After delivering little Ximo to the teacher and temporarily parting with Yuan’Er, Yuchi found his elder brother, who was initially having fun with the girl Xiangxiang. But upon hearing that his third brother had returned, he immediately paused his business with Xiangxiang, and his whole demeanor became undeniably relaxed!

Now, the two of them were accompanied by tea and some scattered fruits, sitting in the courtyard. Next to the yard, there was a very healthy tree growing, with quite a few mulberries hanging on it. The afternoon light fell from the sky, slightly shaded by this tree, the light lattice rippling beautifully.

”Since you left Xufu Town, at the beginning when the weather wasn’t good, there weren’t any issues; it wasn’t very busy. But once the river ice melted and business officially began, it became extremely busy. However, the chamber of commerce isn’t operated by one person alone; there are accountants and others to help, so the problems weren’t too large.”

”It’s just that over the past month or so, a strange incident occurred relating to the Twelve Linked Huts. They caught several bandits, but these bandits are different from regular ones. Regular bandits just rob for gold and silver, but these were clearly given orders by someone.”

”Now, these bandits are trapped at the Twelve Linked Huts. We indeed want to learn their purpose, but they are very obstinate. Even under the gossip of those old women, they refuse to directly tell the end of the story.”

”They insist on seeing you; otherwise, they won’t reveal anything even at the cost of their lives!”

Wei Zhe seemed quite troubled when he spoke about this matter. He had visited the Twelve Linked Huts several times, but the results were quite ordinary. Luckily, now that his third brother has returned, he can go to the Twelve Linked Huts to check out the situation, at least to figure out who sent them.

”Understood.”

Yuchi nodded, smiling, ”Did they harm anyone from our chamber of commerce?”

Ah, Wei Zhe didn’t immediately understand Yuchi’s intent, questioning why he suddenly asked this, but still nodded, ”These bandits were proven to have killed twelve people when they were caught. Although they weren’t from our chamber of commerce but from the Twelve Linked Huts, since the Twelve Linked Huts have been our partners for so long, they count as part of our chamber as well.”

”Alright then.”

Yuchi understood, grasping a small teacup, ”Let the people of the Twelve Linked Huts kill them.”

”Huh?”

Wei Zhe was immediately perplexed, ”Just going to... kill them directly?”

Oh damn, that’s too intense. The bandits are clamoring to see you, and third brother, you just want to go ahead and kill them straight away? Don’t you want to find out who’s behind them first?

”It doesn’t matter. Are we hoping to get information from them? Firstly, we can’t determine if what they say is true or not. Secondly, there’s no need to communicate with people like this. Thirdly, it’s a waste of time.”

Yuchi smiled simply, and seeing the bewildered look in his elder brother’s eyes, he added, ”Going forward, the chamber of commerce will surely encounter many matters like this. If everyone adopts this approach to try to communicate with me, what message does that send when it gets around?”

”The chamber of commerce’s bottom line is not to negotiate with such murderers. Business dealings should be transparent; win or lose, accept the terms. Disregarding human life, what does that mean?”

Nodding decisively, ”Kill them and hang them up for public display.”

Yuchi smiled.

That was his meaning; if it’s purely commercial competition, then such matters are unavoidable, just like the chamber swallowing up other families in Xufu Town. Essentially, it’s a matter of simple competition and cooperation, and it’s inconsequential. If Yuchi were to say he lost, he wouldn’t be particularly upset. In business, there are wins and losses.

But you want to have a conversation with me, then turn around and kill people from the chamber, what should the Twelve Linked Huts think of the chamber?

Don’t communicate with such people.

Wei Zhe was truly shocked. When they heard the bandits wanted to see Yuchi, they were puzzled, thinking the bandits viewed Yuchi as too benevolent. But the result... the result was everyone had perceived Yuchi as too kind-hearted. Killing my people and still wanting to meet me? Does such logic exist in the world?

Of course not, just kill them directly; who cares what forces lie behind them? They’re just pawns; can they really influence the attitudes between two forces?

Yuchi shifted the topic, smiling at Wei Zhe, ”Big brother, aside from the Twelve Linked Huts, has anything else happened in the chamber of commerce lately?”

Wei Zhe finally calmed down, ”Not much else within the chamber. Many large families have already joined the chamber, but the chamber has also introduced a commitment: until the chamber itself reaches a certain scale, not all small families can join. Managing them would be too burdensome.”

”Hmm, that’s fine.” Yuchi nodded.

When he proposed the chamber, he divided it into three circles.

The innermost core includes the chamber itself and the Wei Family, the middle circle consists of other cooperative families of the chamber. These families can share the nodes for selling clothes among each other, placing ’credit’ openly under the chamber’s justice, significantly increasing the security for all large families. The outermost circle contains many small families, whose clothing production is directly sold to the chamber; from there, the chamber sells them, which makes the chamber more efficient.
