Chapter 1756: Chapter 1756: Hand Over Jing Yan’s Relatives

Everyone was in the council hall, waiting for the envoy from the Fire Worship Path Alliance to enter.

Most of those present believed that they should first listen to what the envoy from the Fire Worship Path Alliance had to say.

A figure in a golden robe entered the council hall. This person entered with a smile, glanced around the room, and then squinted at the second chair, Xiao Ye.

”Shell Crow!”

Someone recognized the cultivator in the golden robe.

Shell Crow, one of the leaders of the Fire Worship Path, was a strong practitioner at the Chaotic Supreme Level. The Fire Worship Path has had relatively more dealings with the Sky Creation City Alliance, so many present recognized this leader, Shell Crow. Not just him, but the Sky Creation City Alliance was also well acquainted with several leaders of the Fire Worship Path.

Shell Crow was completely unfazed by the angry stares from Xiao Ye and the others at him.

”Heh, so everyone’s here?” Shell Crow stood there grandly, baring his teeth as he spoke.

”Shell Crow, what are you here for?” Xiao Ye questioned ferociously.

”Haha, naturally, I come with some great news to convey to everyone.” Shell Crow laughed and said.

”What news?” Xiao Ye questioned again.

”On behalf of the Fire Worship Path Alliance, I come to negotiate with the Sky Creation City Alliance. First, I must say, our Fire Worship Path Alliance can cease its attack on Sky Creation City.” Shell Crow said.

”Hmm?”

”What?”

”The Fire Worship Path won’t attack Sky Creation City?” Rumors buzzed in the hall.

If the Fire Worship Path Alliance retreats and ceases its attack on Sky Creation City, it would certainly be good news for everyone. However, they quickly realized that the Fire Worship Path Alliance likely won’t be so kind-hearted. They were close to breaching the Sky Creation City Alliance, but if they suddenly withdrew without a reason, they surely wouldn’t do so.

”What do you want?” Xiao Ye, being the second chair of the council, could keep calm.

Though Xiao Ye was only a First Tier Heavenly Venerate and not a Chaos Supreme, he was the second chair presiding over the council’s work, and those Chaos Supremes had to obey his orders.

”What our Fire Worship Path Alliance wants is quite simple. Just two conditions.”

”The first condition is that we won’t continue to attack Sky Creation City nor attack any other Sky Creation City Alliance’s boundary domains. However, the boundary domains we have already occupied will belong to our Fire Worship Path Alliance, and shall have no relation with Sky Creation City.” Shell Crow slowly said.

Upon hearing this, everyone in the room changed color.

The path that the Fire Worship Path Alliance marched through occupied more than twenty boundary domains, though mostly middle and small tribe domains. But collectively, it was a massive number, with each domain having a vast amount of resources.

Abandoning these domains would indeed be hard to accept. However, if they didn’t agree, the Fire Worship Path Alliance might continue its attack on Sky Creation City and possibly occupy the entire Sky Creation City Alliance domain, resulting in a more tragic outcome.

Xiao Ye raised his hand, signaling everyone not to discuss.

He looked at Shell Crow and said, ”We’ve heard the first condition. So, what is the second condition?”

”Heh, the second condition is that the Sky Creation City Alliance needs to hand over all those close to Jing Yan. This includes his wife, children, and cultivators like Zhan Yue Venerable.”

”With these two conditions, if the Sky Creation City Alliance agrees, then we shall have a truce.” Shell Crow said in a cold tone, with a sinister flash in his eyes.

”That’s impossible!”

”Hm, the first condition is still negotiable. But the second condition is absolutely impossible!”

”Exactly, handing over Supreme Jing Yan’s relatives is something we absolutely can’t do.”

”...”

The second condition proposed by Shell Crow caused an uproar in the hall. The Fire Worship Path Alliance was asking the Sky Creation City Alliance to hand over Jing Yan’s relatives. Clearly, they all knew about Jing Yan’s situation, knowing about Jing Yan’s Daoist couple Gao Feng and his children such as Jing Yun and Jing Dongxue.

These messages indeed were not very secretive. In the Sky Creation City Alliance, many people knew about this information.

”Heh, if the Sky Creation City Alliance cannot meet the two conditions we proposed, then Sky Creation City will face our Fire Worship Path Alliance’s army.” Shell Crow threatened with a sneer.

”I advise you to be realistic. You should know what will happen when you face the army of the Fire Worship Path Alliance. Your strength is far outmatched.” Shell Crow continued.

In the hall, some people cursed outright, firmly refusing. Yet, some remained silent, seemingly contemplating the two conditions. Perhaps, in the eyes of some, handing over Jing Yan’s relatives to secure a truce would be worth it to preserve the Sky Creation City Alliance.

Zhan Yue Venerable was also in the hall.

She said nothing, but underneath her calm expression, there was boundless coldness.

The people the Fire Worship Path Alliance wanted included herself, as she was Jing Yan’s master.

”Everyone, while you face the Fire Worship Path Alliance’s attack, may I ask where Jing Yan is? You look after Jing Yan so much, but where is he? He’s hiding comfortably, while those dying in battle aren’t him. Besides, his family members are mere ordinary cultivators, almost like trash. Handing them over, the Sky Creation City Alliance loses nothing.” Shell Crow continued.

”Shell Crow, shut up! What nonsense are you spouting? Supreme Jing Yan went deep into Chaos and won’t be back for a while. If he were within the domain, he certainly wouldn’t hide.” Someone rebuked.

”Hahaha, even if you speak the truth. However, even if he returns, he can’t change anything. If he returns, he’s doomed to die!” Shell Crow’s eyes glittered as he continued, ”There are many people just waiting for him to come back, and those wanting to get rid of him aren’t just one or two.”

”Alright, I’m tired of saying pointless things. Make a decision. It’s best if you agree, otherwise don’t blame our Fire Worship Path Alliance for flattening Sky Creation City.” Shell Crow shouted aggressively.

”You indeed should shut up!”

A cold voice sounded out.

It was Supreme Bai Xue speaking. Bai Xue was a silent person; since joining the battle, though participating in councils, she rarely voiced her opinion. Often, people ignored the presence of Supreme Bai Xue. Now, Supreme Bai Xue told Shell Crow to shut up.

Bai Xue stood up and stared at Shell Crow.

”Listen well. Don’t even think about that second condition. And, if you dare to insult Jing Yan or his family again, don’t blame me for killing you on the spot!” From Bai Xue emanated a vast aura of might.

Heavy oppression pressed toward Shell Crow.

Now, Bai Xue had mastered the Dao, the Snowfall Dao. Bai Xue was a Second Rank Chaos Supreme, much stronger than the First Rank Chaos Supreme that Shell Crow was. If Bai Xue acted, Shell Crow truly couldn’t resist, and might be killed on the spot.

”I’m here as an envoy!” Shell Crow was starting to feel a bit afraid.
