Vampire Progenitor System

The silence shattered.

The clone lunged first, his wings folding inward as he shot across the cracked street in a blur of blood-red light. Mob raised his sword to intercept. Their strikes collided with a muted thunderclap, shaking shattered windows along the ruined avenue. Sparks of golden divine light and flickering crimson shadow scattered into the air, falling like dying fireflies around them.

The clone spun low, sweeping Mob’s legs out from under him. Mob flipped mid-air, wings flaring to halt his fall, and swung his sword in a downward arc. The blade burned blue-white, its light cutting a line across the clone’s shoulder, splitting flesh down to the collarbone. Blackened blood sprayed across the ground, sizzling where it landed. But the clone didn’t flinch. His hand shot up, claws curling around Mob’s throat, lifting him effortlessly into the air.

Mob’s wings flared, glyphs pulsing along each feather as he slashed his sword down, severing the clone’s forearm clean off. The clone released him instantly, stepping back with no expression as black tendrils coiled from his stump, reforming his arm within seconds. His eyes flicked up at Mob, narrowed with silent, seething rage.

Vina struck from behind.

Her shadow-cloaked claws slashed into his back, ripping deep gouges through muscle and bone. She roared as her werewolf aura exploded outward, shadows writhing around her like living serpents. The clone snarled, wings folding inward as he spun, elbow crashing into her jaw. Her head snapped sideways, blood spraying across the cracked pavement. Before she could recover, he grabbed her throat and flung her into Rey, sending both siblings skidding across the broken asphalt in a tangled heap.

Lucifer stepped forward.

His wings spread wide, each feather burning crimson at the tips. The runes along his arms glowed brighter, pulsing with silent, living energy. He raised his hand slowly. The air around it rippled, folding inward with a faint whining hum. Blood and shadow gathered along his palm, coiling into a long, curved blade that formed from nothing—quiet, flickering, hungry.

The clone turned toward him. Their eyes locked. For a moment, everything fell silent. The city. The wind. Even the flickering flames among shattered cars seemed to dim under the quiet gravity between them.

Then Lucifer moved.

He crossed the distance in an instant, wings folding inward as he drove his blood-shadow blade toward the clone’s chest. The clone raised his arm to block, but Lucifer twisted at the last second, slashing down across his side. The blade tore through flesh and bone, splitting his ribs open. Black blood sprayed in an arc across the fractured street.

The clone snarled, his hand shooting forward, claws tearing across Lucifer’s torso. His armor split open under the impact, deep gashes ripping through his flesh. Blood poured down his stomach, sizzling where it hit the ground. Lucifer didn’t flinch. He headbutted the clone, horns cracking against his skull with a sickening crunch. The clone staggered back half a step, shaking his head as cracks spread across his brow, glowing faint crimson before sealing.

Mob rejoined, flickering behind the clone with a burst of silver glyphs. His sword burned with silent, cold light as he stabbed forward. The blade punched clean through the clone’s stomach, emerging from his back in a burst of blackened blood and shattered shadow. The clone coughed, dark liquid dripping from his lips. His head turned slowly, empty eyes locking onto Mob’s golden ones.

Then he smiled.

His wings flared out violently, slamming Mob back with a shockwave of corrupted force. Mob tumbled through the air, wings folding around himself to absorb the impact as he landed in a crouch, skidding across the cracked ground. The clone ripped Mob’s sword from his own stomach and snapped it in half with one hand. The blade dissolved into motes of blue-white light, fading away as Mob clenched his trembling fists, summoning it back into existence.

Rey appeared behind the clone in a flicker of shadow-step, daggers stabbing into the clone’s kidneys with surgical precision. Vina lunged from the front, her claws slashing upward in silent arcs. For a moment, they overwhelmed him—daggers piercing flesh, claws ripping sinew, blood spraying outward in thin, steaming streams.

But the clone roared.

A pulse of corrupted blood-shadow exploded from his body, blowing them back like ragdolls. Rey crashed into a twisted lamp post, coughing blood as he slumped to his knees. Vina skidded across the ground, her claws digging furrows into the asphalt before she stopped, chest heaving with ragged, trembling breaths.

Lucifer didn’t wait.

He blurred forward, his wings folding tight behind him as he closed the distance. His blood-shadow blade flickered with crimson lightning as he slashed upward, cutting the clone’s arm off at the elbow. The clone didn’t flinch. He pivoted, knee crashing into Lucifer’s stomach with enough force to crater the ground beneath them. Lucifer doubled over, blood dripping from his lips.

The clone grabbed his hair, yanked his head up, and drove his forehead into Lucifer’s nose. Bone crunched under the impact. Blood sprayed across his face. The clone grinned, lifting Lucifer higher with both hands as his wings spread wide, feathers burning with silent red flames.

”Is this it...?” he whispered, his voice trembling with quiet madness. ”Is this... all you are... Lucifer...?”

Mob roared from behind him, wings exploding outward as he charged. His sword burned bright as dawn, cutting through the air in a wide arc. The clone twisted, using Lucifer as a shield. Mob’s blade tore across Lucifer’s shoulder, slicing deep into his flesh. Blood sprayed outward in a burning arc. Lucifer grunted, his teeth bared in silent agony.

The clone dropped him instantly, lunging at Mob with both hands extended. His claws tore through Mob’s chest, ripping open his ribcage in a spray of divine blood. Mob gasped, golden light leaking from the wounds as he stumbled back, wings twitching weakly behind him.

Lucifer raised his head slowly. Blood dripped down his face, mixing with the dust and ash streaking his skin. His horns burned brighter, faint trails of black smoke curling from their tips. The runes along his arms pulsed deeper, flickering with molten crimson light.

The clone turned back to him, panting softly, his grin twisted and ragged with madness.

”Stand up,” he whispered. ”Fight me. Show me... who I am.”

Lucifer exhaled, his breath trembling with silent rage and grief. He planted his hand against the ground, pushing himself to his feet. His wings spread slowly behind him, black feathers trembling with quiet fury. His eyes lifted, molten gold and deep crimson swirling together in silent storms.

He looked at the clone. At Mob, clutching his bleeding chest. At Vina and Rey, struggling to stand in the rubble. At Ella, weeping silently over Francisca’s body.

And he closed his eyes.

He inhaled once, slow and deep. The air trembled around him, rippling with silent, final certainty.

Then he spoke.

”Enough.”

His voice wasn’t loud. It wasn’t angry. It carried no shout of command. It was quiet. Soft. Heavy as truth. It settled over the ruined street like falling ash, pressing into every broken wall, every shattered window, every trembling heart.

The clone froze.

Mob looked up, golden eyes wide.

Vina and Rey stopped moving, their blood-streaked faces lifting toward him.

Lucifer opened his eyes.

They burned deeper than before. Crimson and gold swirling into black at the edges. His wings shifted once, feathers curling inward. The blood-shadow blade in his hand dissolved into smoke, drifting away on the silent wind.

He stepped forward.

And the city felt the weight of a king reclaiming his throne.
