Vampire Progenitor System

”Hey, Ella.”

She turned slowly, her eyes soft but tired as she looked at him. The sunset behind her lit her face in a warm gold, but there was no warmth in her voice.

”I saw you walk in earlier... with that girl,” she said quietly. ”She looked dead. You looked pissed.”

Lucifer nodded, his expression unreadable. ”Yeah. Resistance caught her. Tortured. Staked.”

His jaw tightened.

”I sent them a warning. Took out one of their bases. But they didn’t get it. Guess I’ll have to wipe them out myself.”

Ella looked down, her voice dropping into a whisper. ”This is my fault.”

Lucifer raised an eyebrow.

She kept going.

”If I hadn’t told her to hate you... if I had just listened back then instead of pushing her away... maybe Remu wouldn’t have snapped. Maybe she wouldn’t have joined them. Maybe the humans wouldn’t have found out, and none of this would’ve happened.”

Her fingers dug into her arms. ”It’s all connected. Everything goes back to that.”

Lucifer didn’t respond right away.

He just stood beside her, arms folded, the wind tugging softly at his coat. Then he spoke—low, steady.

”No.”

Ella looked up at him.

Lucifer’s gaze was firm, but not cold.

”Remu made her own choices. You didn’t twist her arm. You didn’t pull her into darkness. She walked there herself.”

Ella’s lips parted, but no words came out.

”You tried to protect her. That’s what friends do. Doesn’t mean she listened. Doesn’t mean it’s on you.”

He stepped closer, voice a little softer now.

”We all make choices. And Remu chose wrong.”

Ella looked away, blinking fast. ”I keep seeing her... standing in that hall, asking me why I didn’t believe in her. And I had no answer.”

Lucifer’s voice dropped to almost a whisper. ”You don’t owe her an answer. Not anymore.”

The silence returned—heavy, but different now. Not just grief. Something like understanding.

Lucifer leaned on the railing beside her again. ”You know what I think?” he said.

Ella didn’t respond.

”I think guilt’s the last thing that keeps us feeling human. But too much of it? It’ll rot you.”

She nodded faintly, still staring at the sky.

He gave her a light nudge with his elbow. ”Don’t let it.”

Ella finally smiled—barely, but it was there. ”You always say something that sounds like it should be in a movie.”

Lucifer smirked. ”Maybe I’m the main character.”

She chuckled softly, brushing her hair back. ”Yeah, well... try not to die before the ending. I’m tired of funerals.”

Lucifer’s eyes darkened for a second—but only a second.

”I won’t,” he said.

Ella didn’t move for a moment.

Just stared at the last light of the sun dipping below the skyline.

Then she turned to him—slowly.

Her eyes weren’t tired anymore.

Just searching.

”You really mean that?” she asked softly.

Lucifer nodded once, not breaking eye contact. ”Yeah. I don’t plan on leaving anyone else behind.”

A beat passed.

Then another.

And then—she stepped forward.

Not hesitating.

Not asking.

She just closed the space between them and kissed him.

Deep. Warm. Like she needed it to breathe again.

Lucifer froze at first, surprised. But then his hands slid gently to her waist, pulling her closer as he kissed her back.

The wind picked up around them.

The citadel behind, the stars starting to peek through the sky, the rest of the world falling quiet.

When they finally pulled apart, Ella rested her forehead against his.

”You keep saving everyone else,” she whispered. ”When do you let someone save you?”

Lucifer closed his eyes. ”Maybe now.”

She smiled—real this time—and grabbed his hand.

”Come with me,” she said.

He didn’t ask where.

Just followed.

—

They walked together, quiet, down a long marble corridor inside the citadel.

No one else was around.

Ella opened a side door near one of the tower wings—an old observatory, long unused, tucked away behind stone walls and velvet drapes.

She pulled him inside, locked the door behind her.

The room was dim, lit only by a few crystal lamps and the moonlight pouring in from the glass ceiling. A wide couch sat near the center, dusted but untouched. There were books stacked in corners. A few long-dried roses in a glass vase on the shelf.

Lucifer looked around. ”Didn’t think this place was still open.”

”It’s not,” Ella said, already stepping out of her shoes. ”That’s the point.”

She turned to face him again, her coat slipping off her shoulders.

Her voice was quiet, but clear.

”I don’t want to think tonight.”

Lucifer stepped forward.

”You won’t have to.”

He kissed her again.

Slow this time.

Longer.

”You sure about this?” Lucifer asked, his voice low, rough at the edges, but his eyes searched hers for any flicker of doubt.

Ella’s lips curved, a spark of defiance in her gaze. ”I said I don’t want to think. That means I’m sure.”

He didn’t need more. His hands found her waist, pulling her flush against him, her body warm and soft against the hard planes of his. Their lips met again, hungrier now, teeth grazing, tongues sliding together in a slow, deliberate dance. Ella’s hands roamed up his chest, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt before she yanked it open, buttons scattering across the floor. His skin was pale, almost luminescent, and she traced the lines of his muscles with her fingertips, feeling the heat beneath.

Lucifer’s hands slid under her shirt, pushing it up and over her head in one fluid motion. Her bra was simple, black, clinging to the swell of her breasts. He paused, red eyes darkening as he took her in, the way her skin flushed under his gaze. ”Fuck,” he muttered, almost to himself, before his hands moved to the clasp. It came undone with a flick, and the fabric fell away, leaving her bare from the waist up.

Her breasts were full, soft, the peaks already hardening in the cool air. Lucifer’s breath hitched, and he lowered his head, lips brushing the curve of one breast before he took her nipple into his mouth. Ella gasped, her fingers tangling in his white hair, pulling him closer as his tongue swirled, teasing the sensitive bud. He sucked gently at first, then harder, grazing with his teeth just enough to make her arch into him, a low moan escaping her lips. His other hand cupped her other breast, thumb circling the nipple, pinching lightly until she squirmed against him, heat pooling low in her belly.

”Lucifer,” she breathed, her voice shaky, needy. He didn’t answer, just switched to her other breast, giving it the same attention—slow, deliberate, his tongue flicking and circling until her knees felt weak. Her hands gripped his shoulders, nails digging into his skin as she pressed herself closer, the ache between her thighs growing unbearable.

He pulled back, lips glistening, red eyes locked on hers as he sank to his knees in front of her. His hands found the waistband of her pants, tugging them down along with her underwear in one swift motion. The fabric pooled at her ankles, and she stepped out of it, leaving her completely bare under the moonlight. Lucifer’s gaze raked over her, lingering on the curve of her hips, the soft patch of curls between her thighs. ”You’re fucking gorgeous,” he said, voice rough with want.

Before she could respond, his hands gripped her thighs, spreading them gently as he leaned in. His lips brushed the inside of her thigh, soft at first, then a nip that made her gasp. He kissed his way up, slow, torturous, until his breath was warm against her core. Ella’s fingers tightened in his hair, her breath hitching as his tongue flicked out, teasing the sensitive folds of her pussy. She moaned, loud and unashamed, as he licked her slowly, savoring the taste of her, the slick heat coating his tongue.

He groaned against her, the vibration sending a jolt through her body. His tongue circled her clit, teasing, then flattening against it, lapping with steady, deliberate strokes. Ella’s hips bucked, and he gripped her thighs harder, holding her in place as he devoured her. He sucked her clit gently, then harder, alternating with long, slow licks that had her trembling, her moans filling the quiet room. ”Fuck, Lucifer,” she gasped, her voice breaking as she rocked against his mouth, chasing the pleasure building inside her.

He didn’t stop, didn’t slow, his tongue relentless as he pushed her closer to the edge. One hand slid up her thigh, fingers teasing her entrance before slipping inside, curling against that spot that made her cry out. He fucked her with his fingers, slow and deep, matching the rhythm of his tongue until her legs shook and her moans turned desperate. ”Don’t stop,” she begged, voice raw, and he didn’t, not until she shattered, her orgasm crashing over her as she clenched around his fingers, her body trembling in his grip.

Lucifer pulled back, lips slick and swollen, his red eyes burning as he looked up at her. Ella’s chest heaved, her skin flushed, but she wasn’t done. She sank to her knees in front of him, hands already reaching for his belt. ”My turn,” she said, voice low, a wicked glint in her eyes.

He didn’t protest as she undid his pants, tugging them down to reveal the hard length of his cock, thick and straining against his boxers. She pulled those down too, freeing him, and her breath caught at the sight. He was big, the tip already glistening with precum. Ella licked her lips, then leaned in, her tongue darting out to taste him. Lucifer groaned, low and guttural, as she licked the head, slow and teasing, before taking him into her mouth.

Her lips wrapped around him, warm and wet, and she sucked gently at first, her tongue swirling around the tip. His hand found her hair, not pushing, just resting there as she took him deeper, her mouth stretching to accommodate his size. She bobbed her head, slow at first, then faster, her hand stroking the base where her mouth couldn’t reach. Lucifer’s breathing grew ragged, his hips twitching as she worked him, her tongue pressing against the underside of his cock, teasing the sensitive vein there.

”Fuck, Ella,” he growled, his voice tight with restraint. She hummed around him, the vibration making him curse under his breath, his fingers tightening in her hair. She sucked harder, hollowing her cheeks, her free hand cupping his balls, rolling them gently as she pushed him closer to the edge. His groans grew louder, his control slipping, and she reveled in it, in the way she could unravel him just as he’d done to her.

He pulled her off suddenly, his chest heaving, red eyes blazing. ”Not yet,” he said, voice rough as he pulled her to her feet. He kissed her hard, tasting himself on her lips, and she melted into him, her body aching for more. The observatory felt smaller now, the air thick with heat and want, the moonlight their only witness as they lost themselves in each other.
