The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 1052: Chapter 1052: When Friends Meet, a Thousand Cups Are Too Few

However, it must be said that the friendship between women can also come very quickly.

As Han Jing chatted with Xia Wu, she felt a sense of regret that they hadn’t met sooner. Over the years, except for An’an, she really hadn’t made any new friends. A Luo was great, but she had been asleep for too long and lost her memory, so Han Jing only saw her as a sister. There were many things she talked about that A Luo couldn’t quite understand.

Now that she’s met Xia Wu, it feels like she’s found a kindred spirit.

At the end of their conversation, Han Jing directly asked someone to inform Su Yu that she would be spending the night with Xia Wu and not returning home.

Then, they grabbed some wine, and as they chatted and drank, they talked the whole night away, feeling vibrant and full of life.

The saying that a thousand cups are too few when drinking with a true friend seemed to fit this feeling.

Opening their hearts and sharing so much, they both felt particularly relieved and comfortable.

Especially Xia Wu, it was her first time sharing her feelings with someone, including her unrequited love that ended without resolution.

At first, Han Jing was moved to tears by the story, and by the end, she was directly calling Xia Wu a fool. ”What a scumbag you encountered, to run off just like that. That’s such a jerk move.”

In the end, Xia Wu joined in the cursing. She had wasted hundreds of years loving someone unworthy. Was there a bigger fool in this world than her?

Seeing Xia Wu cry from distress, Han Jing began to comfort her again: ”Sister, let me tell you, the best way to forget someone is to find another person as a substitute,”

Han Jing, who had drunk a little too much, spoke without much thought: ”Let me tell you, replacement is always more effective than deletion. So, listen to me, there are plenty of good men out there. Find another, fall madly in love, and you’ll immediately forget who he was.”

Han Jing’s words left Xia Wu a bit puzzled. She wasn’t quite sure what replacement versus deletion meant, but she understood the gist: find another to replace him.

Xia Wu sighed. Hadn’t she tried before? But her mind was always full of him. Whenever she thought she could forget him, just seeing him would make her forget everything else. No matter how domineering and aloof she was on Xia Gui Island, in front of him, she was a humble admirer reduced to dust. At his beck and call, she’d forget everything and follow him.

But in the end, he never came to take her away.

Xia Wu drank and cried simultaneously. In truth, she probably hadn’t been this disheveled in years, but perhaps after repressing it for so long, finally crying it out, she suddenly felt somewhat relieved. She even started to think that maybe, because she had never loved anyone else, she believed he was the best.

Han Jing patted her shoulder: ”Open your heart, and you’ll find a new future. Just take a bold step and try. When the person truly meant for you comes along, you’ll realize that all the hurt and grievances you endured back then... weren’t worth it at all.”

Xia Wu wiped her tears, then downed another glass of wine: ”Alright, anyway, he’s not going to come back, so why should I torture myself? I never managed to move him, in the end, the only person moved was myself. Everything I did was probably a joke in his eyes, utterly meaningless.”
