Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

On the arena.

”The staff shadows are like mountains!”

Wang Shengteng realized that ordinary attacks could no longer pose a threat to the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable.

In an instant, his figure shot out like a leopard, his long staff carrying the sound of breaking through the air, aimed directly at the vital points of the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable.

The staff shadows were like mountains, layer upon layer, each strike containing the power to split mountains and crack stones.

However, the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable’s figure moved like a ghost among the staff shadows, each dodge perfectly timed, neither early nor late, neither more nor less.

At the same time, he said, ”Too slow, too slow! Also, I taught you all not to just mechanically use skills!”

”You can link attacks into it!”

Listening to the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable’s reprimands, Wang Shengteng gritted his teeth, continuing his attack like a violent storm.

Yet the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable still remained at ease, his staff occasionally pointing out, blocking some staff shadows that couldn’t be dodged purely by positioning.

The pressure on Wang Shengteng grew heavier, with stamina decreasing due to maintaining skills, and since he couldn’t hit the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable, his anxiety soared.

The next moment.

Wang Shengteng’s staff changed its offensive, originally immense in power, now transformed into constant waves.

”The staff technique is like water!”

”Nonsense!”

The Celestial Dao Demon Venerable shouted coldly.

His body suddenly accelerated, like lightning cutting into Wang Shengteng’s offensive.

His wooden staff lightly tapped, hitting the pivot point of Wang Shengteng’s force conversion on the long staff.

This light tap, however, was like a thousand pounds of force, instantly breaking Wang Shengteng’s offensive.

Wang Shengteng only felt a tremendous force coming from the staff, causing his long staff to deviate involuntarily, and his entire balance to shift with it.

The Celestial Dao Demon Venerable’s staff turned into a phantom again, tapping on Wang Shengteng’s shoulder.

Although this strike didn’t use full force, it was enough to completely dismantle Wang Shengteng’s offensive.

Wang Shengteng’s face paled, the pain in his shoulder jolting him from his previous state of agitation.

Because previously, the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable had taught them.

If you cannot smoothly transition between skills, fill in with defense skills or normal attacks.

Never let the enemy find the momentary gap in your skill link.

At a low tier, perhaps everyone’s speed, strength, and timing control aren’t so good and can’t catch it.

But once in a high tier, flaws can be caught at any time.

Sure enough.

The Celestial Dao Demon Venerable’s expression turned cold as he spoke, ”You even forgot what I taught you, being impatient and restless. Your skill transitions have problems, with errors in the order of using these two skills...”

”My combat theory, you failed this term.”

As these words fell.

The entire martial arts arena started to boil.

”Ah? No, Wang Shengteng is really too miserable, he failed the newcomer contest, and now even failed the combat theory.”

”No, what happened? Wasn’t the fight going well before? How did Wang Shengteng suddenly lose?”

”It happened too fast, I didn’t get it either. But a loss is certain, it’s just whether Shen Fei will let it pass or not.”

”I’m more curious about what the reasons are for passing and not passing. Surely it’s not according to Shen Fei’s mood?”

...

Everyone was eagerly anticipating what the final result would be and why such a result was given.

And at this moment.

Shen Fei’s voice echoed through the broadcast, ”Wang Shengteng’s journey in this newcomer contest ends here.”

”There are ten reasons, first.

When you initially engaged in close combat with the Celestial Dao Demon Venerable, you didn’t use your enhancing skill ’staff technique’ to stack damage, preparing for follow-up skills...”

”Second, if you had used ’staff technique’ to stack damage at the beginning, when you first used the skill, you used the staff a total of one hundred and three times, which can increase the attack speed and damage by about 53%.

At the same time, use ’staff technique is like water’. This can continue to boost attack speed, drawing your opponent into your attack rhythm.”

”Third, starting with ’the staff shadows are like mountains’ is a fatal mistake, though it deals high damage, but with part of the action lag each time.

Moreover, you didn’t use normal attack swinging to interrupt your inertia lag...”

”If you had starting with ’the staff technique is like water’, leveraging attack speed and attack rhythm, when transitioning skills, the speed of your moves would rapidly increase, making it hard for your opponent to catch your momentary flaw...”

”Fourth, even having started with ’the staff shadows are like mountains’, if you had first used the defense skill ’Copper Rod Guard’, instead of switching to ’the staff technique is like water’.

The effect would have been even better.

’Copper Rod Guard’ would forcibly convert your stiff transition into a defense skill, while preventing the enemy from attacking during this period.

Then use ’Powerful Splitting of Huashan’ for successive strong attacks...”

...

The previously noisy crowd also started to quiet down, listening to Shen Fei speak, as he continued to point out Wang Shengteng’s errors.

Sounds of quiet discussions arose.

”How does it feel like Shen Fei knows Wang Shengteng’s skills so well?”

”This is not just understanding, it feels like Wang Shengteng himself is criticizing his own combat style as problematic.”

”I’m Wang Shengteng’s roommate, his skills are indeed like this, Shen Fei is terrifying.

Not only does he know your skills, but he also can think of how to combine them better in a short time...”

”Is he even human?”

...

Numerous voices of discussion were filled with astonishment, this is just too absurd.

”Tenth, based on your school data, your training room efficiency is below average, skill levels are generally around level 7, indicating laziness and inattention on ordinary days, just getting by.”

Shen Fei’s voice gradually turned stern, ”Your talent is decent, but your attitude is not, as well as laziness in daily life.”

”Do you think even if you change to a weaker opponent and win this time, what about next time?”

”If the opponent isn’t a classmate, but Abyssal Creatures, Demons, or others with malicious intent towards you.”

”By then, it won’t just be a simple loss.”

And on the arena, listening to Shen Fei’s words, Wang Shengteng’s face became increasingly embarrassed and even a bit frightened.

Because every bit that Shen Fei said pointed out his errors, even his various skills Shen Fei knew like the palm of his hand.

”Do you admit?”

”I admit.”

Wang Shengteng nodded quickly, not admitting would strip him even of his underwear.

And after listening to Shen Fei’s words, he suddenly realized that he indeed lacked personal rhythm and methods in various skills and combat.

In a short time, he calculated it in his mind, and indeed such a skill usage method would be smoother and much more powerful.

In an instant.

The astonishment in his heart turned entirely into admiration.

Yan Motong also felt amazed, and couldn’t help saying, ”Shen Fei seems to know Wang Shengteng very well? It seems your reconnaissance skill is quite high.”

To even know the opponent’s skills, it must be due to reconnaissance skills.

But to see the skill levels as well implies Shen Fei’s reconnaissance skill level isn’t low.

”It’s not just about reconnaissance skills, it also involves unraveling and identifying the flaws and issues in the recent battle in a short time.

Also, creating better combinations.”

Chen Qingyang smiled and nodded, ”If Wang Shengteng could digest what Shen Fei said this time, his strength could grow further.”

Lin Feng concisely, ”Can be a mentor.”

”Esteemed seniors are overpraising, since there are some methods, of course, one should strive to be a good mentor.

Otherwise, it’s like some people or factions, occupying positions but not doing their duties, lying on peedestals, relying on the glory of elders to be called Heavenly Pride.

Yet it appears as if their strength is outstanding, talent exceptional.”

Shen Fei said with a smile.

Lin Feng laughed, ”Indeed, relying on the family makes them think they are truly like that.”

Ling Xiao and others exchanged glances, in this context, those referred to as lying on records are precisely them.

Shen Fei’s words hiding needles in silk left a fire burning in their stomachs, Ling Xiao even mocked, ”What understanding, surely just creating momentum.

Who knows if Shen Fei and that Wang Shengteng have colluded.”

And at this time.

Even Chen Qingyang and the other two were starting to look displeased, wasn’t Ling Xiao’s words implying the presence of cheating in the newcomer contest?

Xuu Zixu, seeing this, knew it wasn’t good.

He reprimanded coldly, ”Not tolerating others’ strengths, what skills will you have in the future?”
