Entry: I Secretly Cultivate Immortality in the Martial Arts World

309: Chapter 310 Extra Chapters of the Heavens, Part 1: Russell![PS: Hello to all my dear readers!]

[First, I’d like to apologize. The book is going on a two-day hiatus, mainly because I’m stuck on the main storyline’s conceptualization. I’ve been deliberating on the direction of the subsequent plot and the conflict between the Saint Realm and the Supreme Creation Daluo Grotto-Heaven. Despite repeatedly refining it, I haven’t come up with the most satisfying way to write it.]

[I have a preliminary idea now, but the connection of details and the plot’s pacing still need to be polished.]

[So for the upcoming period, the main story will be updated slowly. I’ll update one or two side stories from the All Heavens and Myriad Worlds every day. Everyone can read the side stories to tide them over for now. Thank you for your understanding!]

...

Among the three thousand Middle Thousand Worlds affiliated with the Supreme Creation Daluo Grotto-Heaven, there is a world called the Tianheng Realm.

This realm is filled with Cultivators, with Sects as numerous as clouds. Golden Cores are as common as dogs, and Nascent Souls are everywhere.

Russell is just an ordinary Golden Core Cultivator in this Tianheng Realm.

To say he’s ordinary isn’t quite accurate either.

He has only been Cultivating for over three hundred years and is already at the Golden Core Middle Stage, which is considered outstanding talent among his peers.

But in the context of the entire Tianheng Realm, Golden Core Cultivators are as numerous as crucian carp crossing a river, so he really isn’t anyone significant.

But today, Russell did something big.

He officially became a member of the Great Alliance of the Heavens and Universe.

Speaking of this Great Alliance of the Heavens and Universe, any Cultivator in the Tianheng Realm with even a bit of knowledge knows about it.

That is a colossus personally created by Great Unity Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang, spanning across the All Heavens and Myriad Worlds and governing countless worlds.

Rumor has it that after joining The Great Alliance, one can bind to something called a ”System.”

This System is incredibly mysterious; it can record Karma, issue tasks, and provide rewards based on task completion.

As for the actual principles behind this System, opinions vary.

But the most widely circulated theory is that this object was personally created by Great Unity Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang, and every member of The Great Alliance has one.

Russell stood on the plaza in front of the Gate of the Heavens, looking at the towering gateway before him, his heart filled with a myriad of emotions.

He had prepared for the assessment to join The Great Alliance for a full three years, and today he finally passed.

”Congratulations, Fellow Daoist.”

The recording Immortal Official handed over a Jade Plaque with Russell’s name and number engraved on it.

Russell took the Jade Plaque and cupped his hands in thanks.

The Immortal Official added, ”Fellow Daoist, just probe the Jade Plaque with your Divine Sense, and you will be able to sense your System.”

Russell followed the instructions and probed the Jade Plaque with his Divine Sense.

The next moment, a crisp voice rang out in his mind.

”Ding, Great Alliance of the Heavens and Universe System No. 13579 at your service.”

”New member detected, binding... binding successful.”

”Current Karma: 0.”

”Available tasks: 1.”

Russell was stunned for a moment.

It’s bound just like that?

He tried chanting in his mind: ”System, open the task panel.”

A light screen unfolded before his eyes.

[Task Name: Beginning of the Great Unity]

[Task Description: Travel to a designated Minor Thousand World, possess a native of that world through Soul Transmigration, and ultimately develop that world into a great unity world.]

[Task Time Limit: Based on the target world’s Lifespan, until the Physical Body of the possessed person dies.]

[Task Reward: Depending on task completion and the use of Magical Artifacts, ranging from the lowest Grade D to the highest Grade A.]

[Accept? Yes/No]

After reading the task description, Russell’s brow furrowed slightly.

Soul Transmigration?

Go to a Minor Thousand World?

And turn that world into a great unity world?

This task sounds anything but simple.

But then he thought, isn’t joining The Great Alliance for the sake of tempering oneself and finding Opportunities?

Although this task sounds difficult, there will surely be benefits upon completion.

Russell took a deep breath and thought: ”Accept.”

”Ding, task accepted. Please proceed to the Gate of the Heavens; the System will automatically guide you to the target world.”

Russell put away the Jade Plaque and walked toward the Gate of the Heavens.

He had long heard of this Gate of the Heavens.

Rumor has it that it was personally forged by Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang and can connect to the All Heavens and Myriad Worlds, including the infinite Minor Thousand Worlds derived from the Supreme Creation Daluo Grotto-Heaven.

There are even rumors that this gate can connect to a world within a single leaf of the eternal myriad heavens world tree.

Of course, Russell didn’t quite believe such claims.

A World Tree, worlds within leaves—it sounded unreliable.

The Gate of the Heavens was over a hundred zhang tall, cast entirely from some unknown white jade, with the door frame covered in dense arrays.

These arrays flowed with a faint light, mysterious and unfathomable.

Russell walked to the front of the gate, took a deep breath, and stepped inside.

With a flash of light, his figure vanished into the gate.
