Global Awakening: Starting With Ten SSS-Rank Talents

The temperature behind Jet’s neck dropped to absolute zero.

The razor-sharp edge of the single-edged bone blade was already cutting through the fine hairs on his skin, compressing the air before the flesh could even split.

It was a perfect execution strike, designed to decapitate him before his nervous system could register the spatial displacement. With a desperate burst of raw physical strength, Jet didn’t try to turn around or swing his arm blindly.

Instead, he violently collapsed his knees, dropping his center of gravity into a straight vertical fall toward the mud. Simultaneously, he arched his spine backward like a snapping steel cable, driving his head toward the earth.

SHUCK!

The gleaming blade sliced through the exact space his neck had occupied a fraction of a second prior, cutting cleanly through a few stray strands of his platinum hair.

The sheer kinetic energy behind the bunny’s horizontal swing was so immense that the compressed air pressure generated by the blade didn’t just pass through empty space; it shot outward in a crescent-shaped wave, cleanly shearing a thick branch off a nearby bush with a crisp snap.

There was an immediate flash of visible disappointment deep within the Vorpal Bunny’s large, ruby eyes as it saw its lethal ambush miss its mark. But its high-speed combat loops left absolutely no room for hesitation.

The moment its front paws cleared Jet’s arched torso, the creature violently twisted its muscular lower body in mid-air. It pivoted on its front joints, using its momentum to drive both of its iron-like hind legs straight downward like a pair of pistons.

BOOM!

The heavy paws slammed squarely into the center of Jet’s exposed chest. The raw force distribution of the blunt blow was staggering, sending a massive shockwave straight through his ribs. Jet’s tattered black vest rippled violently from the impact frames as his body was blasted completely off the ground, flying backward across the clearing like a stone thrown from a catapult.

He crashed violently through a thick cluster of wild ferns, his back slamming hard against a dense mossy mound before he skidded another three meters through the black mud.

”Cough!”

Jet hacked out loud, a thick, metallic taste of fresh blood flooding his mouth. His vision swam with white spots for a fraction of a second, but he forcefully swallowed the blood back down his throat, refusing to let his breathing pattern break.

His entire chest cavity was radiating a blinding, burning agony, and his facial features twitched violently from the sheer physical strain. His ribs groaned under the impact, but his Asura Physique was already actively forcing his heart to pump adrenaline at an unhinged rate, numbing the pain pathways before they could paralyze his limbs.

He didn’t wait on the ground. He didn’t take a second to catch his breath. If he stayed down, the speedster predator would drop from the canopy and pierce his skull.

Jet dug his heavy boots into the soil, exploding out of the ruined ferns.

This time, Jet didn’t wait to be ambushed. Jet attacked.

He shot forward like a loose arrow, his boots tearing up deep tracks of black mud as he closed the distance in a straight line. He held the remaining thicker half of his broken ironwood stake in his right hand, reversing his grip so the jagged, splintered tip faced forward like a short, heavy dagger.

His white eyes were entirely bloodshot, tracking the white silhouette of the rabbit with an intense, unyielding focus.

The Vorpal Bunny let out a high-pitched, manic screech, its long ears flattening completely against its skull as it charged to meet him down the center lane.

The collision was instant, and the battle was absolute chaos.

CLANG!

Jet delivered a brutal, downward diagonal slash with his ironwood stake, aiming to pin the creature to the earth. The bunny reacted with bullet-like velocity, crossing its two sixty-centimeter arm blades upward to catch the strike in a perfect V-shaped block.

The metallic resonance of the impact sent a visible ripple through the tattered fabric of Jet’s clothes. Neither combatant broke their stance. The bunny violently pushed its blades outward, parrying the wood sideways, and immediately transitioned into a lightning-fast horizontal counter-cleave aimed at Jet’s waist.

Jet anticipated the trajectory. He stepped his left boot back, twisting his hip out of the blade’s path, and used the lower half of his broken spear to strike downward against the flats of the creature’s left weapon.

BANG!

The force of the deflection drove the bunny’s paw into the ground, but the creature used that exact point of contact as a fulcrum. It flipped its entire body over Jet’s arm, its secondary right blade spinning in a brilliant, circular arc toward his face.

Jet violently tilted his upper body to the right, the cold steel edge grazing his ear as it passed. He didn’t just dodge; he drove his left fist straight upward, utilizing a classic brawler’s short-range uppercut.

His knuckles caught the bunny squarely under its furry jaw. The sheer weight behind the Asura-enhanced punch snapped the creature’s head backward, its small frame lifting off the dirt. But even while ascending, the bunny’s predatory instincts were terrifying. It swung its left paw downward in a blind, high-frequency reflex strike.

SHUCK!

The single-edged blade sliced across Jet’s right shoulder, opening a long, bleeding gash that sprayed red across the green moss. Jet grunted, his left foot pivoting hard into the mud to stabilize his rooted stance.

He ignored the fresh blood wetting his sleeve, cocked his right arm back, and drove the jagged splintered ironwood stake straight toward the monster’s chest.

The bunny twisted in mid-air, its light, agile skeletal frame contorting at an impossible angle.

The wooden point missed its vital organs, instead scraping violently against its thick shoulder blade, tearing off a massive chunk of white fur and skin.

The creature landed on its rear paws, its legs instantly imploding the dirt as it shot sideways, circling Jet at a terrifying velocity.

The fight violently shifted from one side of the clearing to the other, their figures tightly intertwining as they exchanged high-density blows without a single moment of quiet interval.

The environment around them began to collapse under the sheer physical toll of their fight.
