Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

Chapter 554 Wang Jian Exposes Feng Xiaoyu

”The clumsy way you tried to play on my ego, the sudden confession of ʼfalling for meʼ after a mere conversation,” he continued, his voice laced with a chilling calmness. ”Itʼs all so transparent. It tells me one thing – youʼve met with Dong Aigou before coming here.”

Feng Xiaoyuʼs breath hitched. Her heart hammered against her ribs, a cold dread seeping into her. How did he know? Had her plan been exposed so easily?

He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous rumble. ”Tell me, Feng Xiaoyu,” he continued, his gaze pinning hers, ”just what is Dong Aigouʼs pathetic trap? Do enlighten me.”

Feng Xiaoyu clenched her fists, her anger simmering beneath the surface. Heʼd seen through her act, and with such ease! She cursed inwardly, realizing Dong Aigouʼs plan might need some serious alterations.

However, she was a master of deception. Regaining her composure with lightning speed, she met his gaze with a studied nonchalance. ”What are you talking about, Wang Jian?” she countered, her voice smooth as silk. ”Thereʼs no plan, no trap. Weʼre simply enjoying a pleasant evening.”

Wang Jian raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing on his lips. ”Donʼt insult my intelligence, Feng Xiaoyu,” he said, his voice turning cold. ”Your acting skills are truly abysmal. You havenʼt managed to hide the disdain and hatred simmering beneath that facade of yours.”

He leaned forward, his eyes boring into hers. ”And that little display of forced flirting? It was the most obvious attempt at leading someone into a trap.”

A tense silence descended upon the pavilion. Yin Lian and Mu Xuanyin remained motionless, their expressions unreadable. Wang Jian held her gaze, a dangerous glint in his obsidian eyes.

Feng Xiaoyu, her initial surprise fading, found herself facing a new dilemma. Wang Jian was undeniably perceptive, his observations forcing her to reassess her strategy.

She needed to buy time, to refine her plan without revealing her true intentions. With a sly smile, she leaned back in her chair, mirroring his posture.

”Trap?” she purred, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm. ”Perhaps, Wang Jian. Perhaps not. But wouldnʼt it be more fun to find out?” She raised an eyebrow, a playful challenge in her crimson eyes. ”Are you afraid?”

Wang Jian met her gaze, a calculating glint in his own eyes. The situation had become more intriguing than he initially anticipated. Perhaps Feng Xiaoyu wasnʼt just a pawn in Dong Aigouʼs game. Perhaps, she was a wild card, an unexpected element in this brewing conflict.

”Afraid?” he scoffed, a slow smile spreading across his face. ”Never. In fact, Feng Xiaoyu,” he leaned forward, his voice low and seductive, ”letʼs play a game of our own. You lead, and Iʼll follow but on my conditions. Letʼs see where this little trap of yours takes us.”

Feng Xiaoyuʼs smile faltered slightly. Conditions? What game was he proposing now? ”What… conditions?” she managed, a hint of suspicion creeping into her voice.

Feng Xiaoyu raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his unexpected proposal. ”What are your conditions?” she asked, her voice laced with a hint of amusement.

Wang Jianʼs smile widened. ”Simple,” he began, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. ”I want you to put on a show for me. A show of intimacy, a charade of affection.”

”Intimacy?” Feng Xiaoyu scoffed. ”Are you delusional?”

Wang Jian chuckled, a low rumble that sent a shiver down her spine. ”Donʼt get flustered, my dear,” he said, his voice dripping with amusement. ”I wouldnʼt dare force myself on you. But a hug, a display of closeness – thatʼs all I ask. And not here, of course.” He glanced around the pavilion, a mischievous glint in his eyes. ”Let it be a performance for a very specific audience.”

Feng Xiaoyuʼs mind raced. This unexpected turn of events presented a unique opportunity. ”So youʼre willing to follow me to this supposed trap,” she said, her voice cautious, ”as long as I fulfill your little charade?”

Wang Jian nodded, a confident smirk playing on his lips. ”Indeed. But make no mistake, Feng Xiaoyu,” he said, his voice hardening, ”the fulfillment of these two conditions are non-negotiable.”

Feng Xiaoyu, her eyes narrowed, stared at him for a long moment. Then, a slow smile crept across her face. It was a smile laced with a dangerous glint, a calculated gamble.

”Very well,” she declared, her voice husky with mock surrender. ”We have a deal. However, let me warn you that trying to create a rift between Dong Aigou and me through a mere hug is a foolʼs game. Our friendship runs deeper than your shallow manipulations.”

Wang Jian smiled enigmatically. Perhaps not. But a public display of intimacy, orchestrated by Feng Xiaoyu herself, could sow a seed of doubt in Dong Aigouʼs mind. And a seed of doubt, under the right circumstances, could blossom into something far more potent.

Wang Jian did respond to her words with a chuckle, ”Oh, I wouldnʼt dream of it, Feng Xiaoyu,” he countered, his voice dripping with a mock seriousness. ”Besides, who knows, maybe after tonight, your dear friend Dong Aigou will be replaced by a more… intriguing companionship.”

However, one thing escaped both of them – the stunned silence of Yin Lian and Mu Xuanyin. They watched as their ”lover” agreed to potentially walk into a trap, as long as Feng Xiaoyu played a part in a staged performance.

They had expected him to make a move on the beautiful Trade Association leader, perhaps even force himself upon her. But Wang Jianʼs unexpected proposal left them both confused about what exactly was Wang Jian planning and what exactly is his personality.

Bidding farewell to Yin Lian and a bewildered Mu Xuanyin, Feng Xiaoyu exited the mansion, a triumphant smirk playing on her lips. The evening had taken an unexpected turn, but she had managed to secure a deal with Wang Jian.

Back within the pavilion, a tense silence descended once Feng Xiaoyu was gone.

Yin Lian, her expression a mixture of confusion and irritation, turned to Wang Jian. ”Why did you let her go?” she demanded, her voice laced with a sharp edge. ”Even after you figured out her little trap?”

Mu Xuanyin, her brow furrowed, voiced a similar concern. ”And why didnʼt you…force yourself on her like you did with me?” she added, a hint of something akin to jealousy flickering in her eyes.

Wang Jian leaned back in his chair, a sly smile playing on his lips. ”My dear ladies,” he began, his voice dripping with amusement, ”you wouldnʼt believe it even if I told you.”

Yin Lian and Mu Xuanyin exchanged a glance, frustration mounting.”Try us,” Mu Xuanyin insisted, playfully nudging him with her shoulder.

Their devilish curves, accentuated by their revealing outfits, pressed against him in a seductive manner.Wang Jian chuckled, a low rumble that sent shivers down their spines.

He then gathered them both in a close embrace, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. ”The truth, my beauties,” he began, ”is that I canʼt force myself on any of you. In fact, attempting to do so without your… approval, would have disastrous consequences.”

His words sparked a flicker of surprise in their eyes. They had never considered this aspect before. They had always assumed his charm, combined with their initial fear, had been enough to subdue them.

Wang Jian, sensing their confusion, elaborated.”With Yin Lian,” he explained calmly, ”I slowly conditioned the situation. You grew comfortable, even initiating physical contact before I ever made a move.”

Yin Lian recalled the strange, warm sensation that had washed over her upon meeting him in the cavern. It was almost…

inviting. It was only after that initial acceptance that things had progressed further.

”And Mu Xuanyin,” Wang Jian continued, turning his attention to the Moon Shadow Clan leader, ”you offered yourself, in a way. Your desperation to save your Clan blinded you to the true cost of my intervention.”

Mu Xuanyin flushed slightly, the memory of their exchange in the forest returning to her mind. Her desperate pleas, his cold, calculating terms.

A grudging understanding dawned on both women. Wang Jian, it seemed, operated with a strange set of rules.

”So, you intend to do the same with Feng Xiaoyu?” Yin Lian asked, a hint of curiosity lacing her voice.

Wang Jian grinned, a predatory glint in his eyes. ”Precisely,” he confirmed. ”I will earn her ʼapprovalʼ and only then…” his voice trailed off, a suggestive smirk playing on his lips.

”Enough of this talk,” he continued, his voice husky with desire. ”It seems the night is young, and my lovely companions have neglected to satisfy my desires.”

Yin Lian and Mu Xuanyin both blushed, but neither protested. The promise of carnal pleasure, coupled with Wang Jianʼs potent allure, held a powerful sway over them.

With that, they rose from the pavilion and headed towards Yin Lianʼs private chambers. The night, and much of the following morning, was filled with the sounds of their shared ecstasy.

Meanwhile, far away in the bowels of the earth, Dong Aigou anxiously awaited Feng Xiaoyuʼs return signal.
