Harem Master: Seduction System

Chapter 45: Going To Bennet Family

The carriage provided by the innkeeper rolled smoothly along the cobblestone streets, the clip-clop of the horses’ hooves echoing through the quiet morning air. Lyra and Alaric sat in silence, their minds filled with the information they had gathered and the plan they had formulated. They knew that the road ahead was fraught with danger, that there were challenges and obstacles to overcome. But they also knew that they were ready, that they were prepared, that they were determined to face whatever lay ahead.

As the carriage approached the outskirts of the town, the scenery began to change. The quaint shops and bustling markets gave way to sprawling estates and grand mansions, the homes of the wealthy and the powerful. The carriage turned onto a long, winding driveway, the wheels crunching on the gravel as they made their way towards the imposing gates of the Bennet Family’s mansion.

The gates were guarded by two stern-faced men, their uniforms adorned with the crest of the Bennet Family. They eyed the carriage warily as it approached, their hands resting on the pommels of their swords. As the carriage came to a halt, one of the guards stepped forward, his expression stern and unyielding.

”Halt,” he said, his voice filled with authority. ”State your business with the Bennet Family.”

Lyra leaned out of the carriage window, her eyes meeting the guard’s gaze steadily. ”I am Lyra Steele,” she said, her voice filled with confidence and command. ”I am here to speak with Stefano Bennet and his son, Jasper. I have urgent business to discuss with them.”

The guard’s expression shifted from stern to surprised, his eyes widening as he recognized the name. He knew that the Steele Family was not one to be trifled with, their power and influence extending far and wide. He also knew that Lyra Steele was a formidable woman, a powerful martialist, a force to be reckoned with.

He exchanged a glance with his fellow guard, a silent communication passing between them. After a moment, he nodded, his expression respectful as he stepped back and gestured for the gates to be opened.

”Of course, Lady Steele,” he said, his voice filled with deference. ”Please, proceed. I will inform Lord Bennet of your arrival.”

Lyra nodded, her expression satisfied as she sat back in her seat. The carriage rolled forward, the gates creaking open to reveal the sprawling estate of the Bennet Family. The mansion was a grand, imposing structure, its walls made of gleaming white stone, its roof adorned with intricate carvings and elegant spires. The grounds were meticulously maintained, the lawns a lush green, the gardens filled with fragrant flowers and towering trees.

As the carriage approached the mansion, the front doors swung open, revealing a group of people standing on the steps. At the forefront was Stefano Bennet, the head of the Bennet Family, a tall, imposing man with a stern expression and a commanding presence. Beside him stood his wife, Nicoletta, a beautiful woman with long, dark hair and sharp, piercing eyes. Behind them stood a group of servants, their expressions respectful and deferential.

Stefano stepped forward as the carriage came to a halt, his expression cordial as he greeted Lyra and Alaric. ”Lady Steele,” he said, his voice filled with respect. ”It is an honor to have you and your son as our guests. Please, allow me the opportunity to offer you snacks and dinner tonight.”

Lyra stepped out of the carriage, her expression polite and respectful as she returned Stefano’s greeting. ”Thank you, Lord Bennet,” she said. ”We would be honored to accept your hospitality.”

Alaric followed his mother out of the carriage, his eyes taking in the grandeur of the mansion and the elegance of its inhabitants. He stood beside Lyra, his expression serious and determined as he prepared to face the challenges that lay ahead.

Stefano gestured for Lyra and Alaric to enter the mansion, his expression cordial as he led them inside. The interior was no less impressive than the exterior, with polished marble floors, ornate tapestries hanging on the walls, and grand staircases leading up to the upper levels. The air was filled with the scent of fresh flowers and the faint echo of distant music, a testament to the wealth and the power of the Bennet Family.

As they made their way to the drawing room, Stefano turned to Lyra, his expression curious and respectful. ”Lady Steele,” he said. ”May I ask what brings you to our mansion today? Do you have a specific purpose for coming to see us unannounced?”

Lyra nodded, her expression growing serious as she turned to face Stefano. ”I do, Lord Bennet,” she said. ”I have come to discuss the matter of the girl named Rosalind, the one who is accused of attacking your son, Jasper. I wish to ask you to stop pursuing this matter, to let it go and not take it to court.”

Stefano’s expression shifted from curious to surprised, his eyes widening as he took in Lyra’s words. Beside him, Nicoletta’s expression darkened, her eyes flashing with anger as she stepped forward.

”I can’t believe you’re even suggesting that,” she said, her voice filled with outrage. ”That girl attacked my son, injured him with her magic. She deserves to be punished, to suffer for what she has done. And I will make sure that she does, that her family suffers for this transgression.”

Alaric stepped forward, his expression fierce as he glared at Nicoletta. ”The reason for Rosalind attacking Jasper was accidental,” he said, his voice filled with conviction. ”And even if she had attacked Jasper, she well deserved to protect herself from the way Jasper was taking her away! She was only defending herself, protecting herself from harm. You can’t blame her for that.”

Nicoletta’s expression darkened even further, her eyes flashing with anger as she raised her hand, preparing to strike Alaric. ”How dare you speak to me like that,” she said, her voice filled with fury. ”How dare you defend that girl, that criminal, that—”

But before she could finish her sentence, she felt a cold metal against her neck. She froze, her eyes widening in shock as she realized that Lyra was standing behind her, her sword pressed against her throat. Lyra’s expression was cold, her eyes filled with a dangerous glint as she stared down Nicoletta.

”I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” Lyra said, her voice filled with a deadly calm. ”I wouldn’t even think about it. Now, step back, and keep your hands to yourself. Or else.”

Nicoletta’s breath hitched, her body trembling as she realized the seriousness of the situation. She knew that Lyra was not one to be trifled with, that she was a powerful martialist, a force to be reckoned with. She also knew that she was in grave danger, that one wrong move could cost her her life.

She stepped back, her hands shaking as she lowered them to her sides. Her eyes were filled with fear and respect as she looked up at Lyra, her expression contrite and apologetic.

Meanwhile, Stefano was shocked, his eyes widening in disbelief as he took in the scene before him. He had not expected things to escalate so quickly, to become so dangerous so suddenly. He knew that he had to act, that he had to defuse the situation before it got out of hand.

He raised his hand, signaling for the guards to stand down. The guards hesitated for a moment, their weapons still pointed at Lyra and Alaric, their expressions torn between loyalty and fear. But ultimately, they obeyed their lord’s command, lowering their weapons and stepping back.

Stefano turned to Lyra, his expression filled with respect and admiration. ”Lady Steele,” he said. ”I apologize for my wife’s behavior. She is... passionate about her son, about his wellbeing. But I assure you, we mean you no harm, no disrespect. Please, let us discuss this matter like civilized people, like allies and friends.”

Lyra nodded, her expression softening as she lowered her sword. She knew that Stefano was a reasonable man, a man of honor and integrity. She also knew that he was a powerful man, a man of influence and authority. And she was determined to use that to her advantage, to use it to help Rosalind and her family, to ensure their safety and their freedom.

”Very well, Lord Bennet,” she said. ”Let us discuss this matter like civilized people. But I warn you, I will not stand for any injustice, any unfairness. I will not allow Rosalind and her family to suffer for something that was not their fault, for something that was beyond their control.”

Stefano nodded, his expression filled with understanding and respect. ”I understand, Lady Steele,” he said. ”And I assure you, I will listen to your arguments, your reasons. I will consider them carefully, fairly. And I will make a decision based on what is right, what is just, what is fair.”

Lyra nodded, her expression satisfied as she sheathed her sword. She knew that she had made her point, that she had established her authority, her power. She also knew that she had gained Stefano’s respect, his attention, his ear. And she was determined to use that to her advantage, to use it to help Rosalind and her family, to ensure their safety and their freedom.

As they made their way to the drawing room, Lyra and Alaric exchanged a glance, a silent communication passing between them. They knew that the road ahead was fraught with danger, that there were challenges and obstacles to overcome. But they also knew that they were ready, that they were prepared, that they were determined to face whatever lay ahead, to overcome whatever challenges stood in their way, to protect Rosalind and her family, to ensure their safety and their freedom, to bring them justice and to bring them peace.

The drawing room was a grand, elegant space, filled with plush sofas and ornate chairs, with polished wooden tables and gleaming crystal chandeliers. The walls were adorned with intricate tapestries and elegant paintings, the floors covered with soft, luxurious rugs. The air was filled with the scent of fresh flowers and the faint echo of distant music, a testament to the wealth and the power of the Bennet Family.

As they took their seats, Stefano turned to Lyra, his expression serious and attentive. ”Now, Lady Steele,” he said. ”Please, tell me more about this matter with Rosalind. Tell me why you believe she is innocent, why you believe she deserves our mercy, our forgiveness.”

Lyra nodded, her expression growing serious as she prepared to make her case. She knew that she had to be convincing, that she had to be persuasive, that she had to make Stefano see the truth, see the injustice of the situation. She also knew that she had to be careful, that she had to be clever, that she had to use all her skills and all her resources to her best advantage.
