Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 2102: Arafunn VS Mal’thir

-----

”I think you’ve teased me enough. You know the drill already,” Arafunn sighed. ”Please cooperate. I usually am not the type of person to do this, but we cannot take it easy now.”

”A pity, but fine, so be it. I did promise to help you in your endeavors after all. Hang in there, Arafunn. I shall give you a strong divine blessing just because~” laughed the Embodiment of Wind and Freedom, a mysterious Wind Spirit in the World of Terrarium that never attended any meetings in the Avalonian Court.

And now came his fifth familiar and newest member of his family, an Ancient Beast Spirit he had forged a contract with inside the Great Skinchanger Temple of Trials.

”Looks like you’re finally calling me, long ears! Is it finally time to smash some skulls?!”

This was one of Ninhursag’s ancestors who had safeguarded the trial for many generations. He considered his duty fulfilled once he successfully passed on all the legacies to her and everyone else inside the temple. Because Arafunn did not resonate well with any of the other spirits, the ancient being chose to give himself to him instead. He became Arafunn’s fifth familiar, counting as both a Beast and a Spirit.

He was a giant, powerful, and muscular male harpy with dark brown skin covered in glowing green tattoos. Four massive green wings sprouted from his back, and sharp golden talons gleamed on his feet. His handsome face remained hidden beneath a large, living helmet shaped like a roaring wind eagle. A pair of large antlers crowned his head, while his hands were covered in brown fur and ended in long golden claws. He summoned a giant bow and arrow that pulsed with the power of various elements, primarily wind.

Arafunn had taken a strong liking to this handsome and mighty spirit, so he gladly accepted him as part of his family.

”Thank you for coming as well, Lord Cernunnos. Please lend me your strength!”

”Heh, you got it, long ears!”

”Spiritual Familiar Resonance – Fusion of Souls and Bodies!”

Arafunn knew that fighting these monsters individually would be impossible. They were already strong on their own and had grown even more powerful thanks to Lolth’s curse and blessing. Therefore, he decided to combine with all of them at once.

FLAAASH!

All of their spiritual forms merged with him, rapidly triggering a powerful transformation. He grew three times taller than before, his body becoming far more muscular and less slender. Six majestic white, gold, and green feathered wings emerged from his back. Glowing gold and green armor covered his form, complemented by a dazzling new outfit of vibrant colors.

His flute transformed into a long rapier, with the flute still integrated within the blade and overflowing with divine and spiritual power. What Arafunn did next was extraordinary. He fused his Soul Weapon, the Windswept Rapier he had used in his younger years, with his Ancient Relic, the Heavenly Wind King’s Flute of Eternal Melody.

His power skyrocketed like never before. Arafunn, who was often considered the weakest of the heroes and had been beaten down by Gray during the invasion of Agartha, had now changed completely. He had consolidated his powers, recovered from his deep trauma, and grown tremendously in both heart and soul. This growth came from the strong bonds he had formed with Ninhursag, Zack, and Luck. He had chosen to create these connections to finally free himself from the shackles of his traumatic past and the loved ones he had lost along the way.

By embracing the present and the beloved people standing by his side, who showed him through their endless efforts that there was now a future worth living for, he had found true strength.

His wounds rapidly cleared and healed instantly. His missing arm regenerated, remade from the spiritual souls, flesh, and blood of his familiars. The new hand resembled the talons of mighty birds, covered with golden scales, long claws, and bright green, yellow, and blue feathers. It radiated the primal, beastly strength of Tempest Eagle, Melodia the Embodiment of Wind and Freedom, the Wind Whale King, and Cernunnos. A pair of impressive antlers grew from his forehead as he felt overwhelming power pulse through his entire being.

”Lord Cernunnos, you who guided us through that trial for so many years, I am truly grateful to have your power within my body. I will not disappoint you,” Arafunn declared, firmly holding his Divine Rapier Flute.

Mal’thir and the other monsters trembled at the sight. They frantically called forth more and more creatures from the dungeon, even summoning bosses from the floors below.

”Hmph, so you’ve fused with a bunch of weaklings, huh? And what sort of miracle do you hope to accomplish with that?” Mal’thir sneered. ”Our power is simply superior! We were already strong, but with her blessing, our tiers have risen! I have already reached Tier 10, and with each battle, I grow exponentially and endlessly! My power has already surpassed Tier 10 long ago!!!”

RUMBLE!

Mal’thir roared monstrously as his potent aura surged outward. False divinity and fake demonic power merged into an endless sea of twisting chaos. Countless eyes and feathered wings bled miasma everywhere around him. His self-made swords, formed from his False Divinity’s Light and Fake Demonic Power’s Darkness and crystallized with cursed crystals from Lolth’s blessing, exuded tremendous and seemingly endless power.

”Harmonious Chaos Sword Art.”

”First Form – Apotheosis!!!”

Crossing his swords together, the blonde archangel laughed maniacally. He resembled a rising star of bright gold and black light as he clashed against Arafunn faster than lightning itself.

White and black light gathered around him, coalesced, merged, and warped space. His attack struck true...!

SHIIIIIIIIING!

And yet.

”?! ”

His eyes widened in shock. His swords had never struck Arafunn. Instead, they had passed through a faint melody left where Arafunn once stood. The moment he touched that melody, everything erupted inside his body.

Sound.

Vibrations.

Winds.

Thunder.

Explosions.

Destruction.

Screams.

All of it appeared within him at once, twisting, breaking, destroying, and tearing him apart from the inside out. His mouth opened wide as he vomited blood. Arafunn now stood behind him, resembling a majestic male Valkyrie. He held his rapier, which had cut through his foe a hundred times with a single stroke through the melody his sword constantly emitted as it moved.

”Melodious Divine Sword Arts.”

”First Form – Chorus of Tempest.”

In that moment, Arafunn showed the world that he had truly inherited his older brother’s swordsmanship, which he had always been nagged to learn. He simply adapted it to his own element, turning music and sword into one and the same. He had become the first wielder of the Sword of Melody.
