Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1896: Dinner

-----

My Cooking Skill had reached Level 8, greatly enhancing my ability to prepare dishes from memory. If I wished, the Skill could even guide my hands to move automatically.

But that felt too impersonal. I preferred handling most steps myself, letting the Skill refine my movements and help recall precise techniques.

Cooking Magic was crucial as well. It unlocked the full quality and essence of every ingredient, producing Golden Dishes that radiated bright, golden auras.

This food was the only kind that could truly satisfy the hunger of cultivators with Physiques beyond Tier 5.

Ordinary meals filled the stomach, but they couldn’t replenish the Mana and Ki we expended daily. Without a nutrient-rich diet at higher tiers, power would gradually decline.

This rule didn’t apply as strictly to pure Magic Circle cultivators, though they often relied on potions and elixirs to support their minds. That’s why dual cultivation of Physique and Magic Circles was ideal—the body could match the growing magical capacity gained through Circle Creation and Refinement.

It varied by race, but I’d heard that those with low Physique tiers despite high Magic Circle ranks suffered constant body pain and headaches. They depended on potions and healing magic endlessly.

It sounded like a painful existence. I saw no reason for it unless someone had an incurable physical condition that magic or alchemy couldn’t resolve.

Even Celica, whose Demon Tribe lacked the strongest natural constitution, had been training her Physique alongside us to balance her high magical power.

Celeste benefited from her hybrid human-demon bloodline, inheriting humanity’s natural aptitude for physical cultivation and rapid muscle growth.

Then there was Ruby—a truly unique case. Half Red Oni Demon and half Dwarf, both races renowned for exceptional physical growth and ease in Physique cultivation. Thanks to her talent, she had reached a high tier in just the year since joining us.

Magic Circles weren’t the Red Oni’s primary strength, but they excelled in craftsmanship and related elemental magics, further enhanced by Dwarven traits. Hybrids like us truly had the best of both worlds.

We enjoyed the strengths of multiple races in one body. Technically, Aquarina was a ”hybrid” between two human tribes, granting her remarkable abilities and talents as well.

As I cooked, my thoughts drifted to what kind of child Aquarina and I might have—if that was even possible.

A child combining our already diverse bloodlines would be extraordinarily powerful.

Royal elven lineage with fairy blood, offering high affinity for nature, light, and spirit magic. Bravo Clan human traits for strong bodies, fire affinity, and swordsmanship. Darkage Clan gifts of shapeshifting, shadow manipulation, assassination arts, and necromancy talent. Amazonian Clan heritage for incredibly hardy physiques and earth affinity.

Just imagining this super-talented child sent a shiver through me. He or she would shake the world with boundless potential.

...Why am I even thinking about this?

”Sylphy, the rice!”

”Ah!”

If not for Alice, I would have burned it. I quickly added sauces and a pinch of salt, finishing just in time.

The four pizzas in the oven were ready too. I placed them on the table.

”Alright, the pizzas are done! Celeste! Celica! Ruby! Master! Time to eat!”

I called everyone. My friends hurried downstairs, eyes widening at the four giant pizzas.

”Oooh! Pizza tonight?!” Celeste asked excitedly. ”Sylphy, you made this? For us?”

”Heheh, it was originally for Aquarina, but why cook just for her? We’re all living together,” I said with a gentle smile. ”Enjoy!”

”Awawaaahh!”

Little Esmeralda sat on my mother-in-law’s lap, waving her tiny hands at the food. She drooled, eyes huge with hunger.

”What’s wrong? Hungry too?” Aquarina giggled. ”Okay, let’s dig in!”

Everyone began eating. I sat down and expanded my Aura, letting the Dragon Spirits handle the remaining dishes.

Soon, noodles with tomato sauce and parmesan arrived, followed by fried rice packed with the meat Aquarina loved. The highlight was the huge, salted fish, grilled on a stick over Ignatius’s bonfire.

”Woah, this one’s massive!” Celeste exclaimed.

”Let’s dig in!” Aquarina said, tearing off a large chunk with her bare hands.

”Hey, not fair! Leave some for the rest of us!” Celeste protested.

”Ahh, I don’t think I can eat another bite... I’m stuffed...” Ruby groaned, patting her belly.

”Nom, nom...! I could keep going!” Celeste declared.

As everyone ate, I felt bad that my master wasn’t joining us. I walked to her room and knocked.

”Master? Hm...”

No response. As usual, I used Alchemy to reverse the lock’s runes and opened the door.

Inside, I found her deep in study.

There was nothing wrong with loving her work—she had genuine passion for it.

Yet it bordered on obsession, which wasn’t healthy, especially with her long lifespan.

To me, it seemed she used work to escape reality. Perhaps the house full of people overwhelmed her, though she’d never admit it.

”Master Felicia! Hungry?”

”Ah!”

She jumped as I interrupted her examination of the Divine Thunder Artifact. She had deciphered much of its circuits and inner workings, trying to replicate the magical and divine technology I could create effortlessly with a Skill.

”Sylphy, it’s you... Ah, I’m not hungry. Don’t worry about me. I’m busy, so please leave for now. And don’t do that again. I noticed you broke the seal... impressive, but don’t repeat it.”

”Um, I can’t promise that.”

”Hah?”

She raised an eyebrow.

”Excuse me?”

”I’m sorry, but... I might do it again!”

”...?!”

She looked genuinely shocked at my honest answer.

However, she calmed and asked.

”Why?”

”Well... because holing yourself up here isn’t healthy.”

”Excuse me? You may be my apprentice, but you have no right to dictate how I spend my time.”

”I know, but... haven’t you been alone for so long? Why not join us for a meal? Enjoy the company of your friends while they’re here?”

”Sylphy, that’s...! I... I mean... well, they know how I am...”

”But do you know how you are?”

”...? Are you trying to lecture me? You—a child compared to me, an old woman?”
