Shen Jiuli sighed. “Shura World.”

“What?”

“She has disclosed a heavenly secret. Therefore, Shura World is the punishment she deserves.”

Di Fuyi’s face sank. He heard about Shura World before. It was the most impoverished and deserted place of all worlds outside heaven. This barren land had nothing to offer. According to legend, the site was full of ferocious beasts. The humans, monsters, demons, and beasts were all living together, but the humans were the most insignificant race. Most of the time, the people there were enslaved.

Life in Shura World was made difficult by the adverse living conditions. Thus, all the living beings there became extremely savage. The immortals were thoroughly disgusted by the place. Hence, Di Fuyi had never thought that Gu Xijiu would be sent to such a terrible place.

He finally knew why she could not make it back. He finally understood why the glimpse of her name on the celestial pillar became gradually weaker as days went by. Her life in Shura World must be tough.

The Heavenly Order was cruel. The rules were so harsh.

Shen Jiuli could see that his son was heartbroken about the harshness of the heavenly laws, so he decided to share more with him. “The reason why we had to leave you behind and travel to another continent is that we too, have violated the heavenly law. We were forced to flee under the pressure of the heavenly law, so we had no choice but to leave. I violated the heavenly laws a few times before, putting your mother and me in many difficult situations.”

“The Heavenly Order is so savage,” Di Fuyi had to express his frustration.

Shen Jiuli threw his son a glare but explained calmly, “The heavenly laws are made by the master of heavenly laws. Although the laws themselves are dead, the master of heavenly law is real and alive.”

Di Fuyi did not know that there was a man behind the law. He finally found the convict of all the unfortunate events in his life. “The master of the heavenly laws seems like a God of no mercy.”

Shen Jiuli could not help but agree, for they share a common hatred for the same enemy. “Indeed, I agree.”

Both father and son had suffered. For the first time, they found the common topic to vent their frustration. Soon, both of them began to criticize the master of the heavenly laws. Driven by curiosity, Di Fuyi asked, “Father, have you met the master of the heavenly laws?”

“I certainly have. In fact, we are closely connected.” Shen Jiuli was the guardian of the heavenly law, so he must have seen the master of heavenly law before. Thus, he was not wrong when he said that they were closely related.

Di Fuyi continued his questions, “Father, you can foresee things. Can you tell if she and I are fated to be together?”

“If I told you that you two were not meant to be together, would you let her go?” Shen Jiuli answered with another question.

“Of course not! I will change our fates and connect us together.”

“If so, why should you bother? Remember, your fate is in your hands,” Shen Jiuli hinted.

“How do I go to Shura World?” He did not forget the most important detail.

Hesitantly, Shen Jiuli added, “The place is of no good at all. The chances are that you will not come back again. Do you want to go?”

“Yes, I want to get her out of there.”

“Don’t be silly. She is stranded, even with her immense level of spiritual power. Your lousy presence will not be of any use.” Shen Jiuli had to shatter his confidence.

“How would I know if I never try?” Di Fuyi remained determined.

“Try? What if this is a one-way ticket?”

“Hmm, maybe both of you should try to make another child. After all, you have plenty of leisure time.”

Shen Jiuli was speechless, for Di Fuyi was ready to abandon them before he was even married to the woman he so desired. However, it would not be long before Di Fuyi realized his true destiny.
