After Princess Ya settled the matter with the maidservant, she held onto Yun Yanli’s arm in an attempt to please him. “Brother, are you satisfied with how Little Ya dealt with the matter?”

Yun Yanli used his finger to tap her forehead. “You as a princess should behave like a princess; that does not mean that you punish your servants to your heart’s content. They are ascenders who thrive with their own effort, each and every one of them could achieve something and emulate us. You better not behave so capriciously.”

“Alright, alright, I know. I will be more aware next time. However, brother, this person stole my servant! Brother, please do something on my behalf!” Princess Ya held out her slim finger and pointed at Gu Xijiu.

Yun Yanli’s gaze finally fell on Gu Xijiu. Gu Xijiu was standing there, with a rather solemn aura, not moving or making a sound.

Yun Yanli gave off a soft sigh.

“Little Ya, I had witnessed everything with my own eyes just now. It was, in fact, your mistake for mistreating Sir Long! And this Miss Gu is his friend; it is natural for her to stand up for him upon seeing all this unfolding.”

Although Princess Ya was still not satisfied, she did not dare to argue anymore. She only pouted her little lips and put on an unpleasant face.

Yun Yanli stopped heeding her and allowed his gaze to stay on Gu Xijiu. “Miss Gu, it was little Ya’s mistake just now; I would like to apologize for her mistake.” He held his hand up as a matter of courtesy.

Since he had initiated an apology, she withheld her dissatisfaction. Besides that, she had a liking for the prince. Hence, she nodded and replied nonchalantly, “You don’t have to do so, Your Highness; I did not suffer from any loss.”

Yun Yanli spoke courteously again and praised her for being able to reach heaven without being elevated. Then, he digressed and said, “Although it was Little Ya’s mistake earlier, I suppose Miss Gu is unaware of one thing; since Sir Long had already ascended to this land, he will not be able to return to his initial land. It is not that we don’t want to release him; it is that his body condition will only be suited for this land; and once he leaves this land, he will be met with trouble.”

Gu Xijiu was, in fact, thinking of bringing Long Siye back since he was the Overlord of the Tianwen clan; a man respected by all. He would be of more use there than staying as a servant here! However, perhaps she could not bring him back.

She verified the truthfulness of the matter with the Firmament Stone. The Firmament Stone had received an order from the mysterious voice long ago; hence, he stealthily confirmed the matter with Gu Xijiu.

Gu Xijiu furrowed her brows slightly. Since Long Siye had annoyed that princess earlier, he most likely would not do well in the remnants of his life in heaven. She looked at Yun Yanli and asked, “And what does Your Highness mean by that?”

Yun Yanli responded, “If Sir Long is alright with it, I would like to put him to servitude under my name, and appoint him as a captain.” A guard is equivalent to an officer around the eighth and ninth level in the army, and a prince’s bodyguard could be named a captain.

Long Siye could be promoted from being a servant to a captain. That was quite a huge promotion! The offer proved Yun Yanli’s sincerity.

“Master, just agree! Just agree! This Yun Yanli treats the people under his command extraordinarily well. His soldiers are close to him. Being by his side, Long Siye will not suffer any loss…” The Firmament Stone hurriedly helped Gu Xijiu to make up her mind.

Gu Xijiu, in fact, did not want Long Siye to be under anyone’s command, but she could not protect him forever. Since she could not stay long on this land, if she still refused Yun Yanli’s offer, Long Siye would fail to find a shelter later on!
