Yan Chen had very admirable personality. Although he was always cool, he maintained a good relationship with his mates. He was accommodating too. Whenever his friends encountered any difficulties and sought for his help, he would always do his best. He was very capable and was very handsome also. Hence, he emerged as an idol among the female students, and even some of the male students admired him.

Despite his excellent character, this time he had been irritated by Gu Xijiu. There were times when Yan Chen felt like he wanted to fight with Gu Xijiu. The only issue was that Gu Xijiu was a student from the Liuyun class and she was still a new student. Yan Chen was in the Ziyun class and was a higher level students. People would undoubtedly accuse him of bullying.

He was furious at her, but he could not do anything. Gu Xijiu’s actions drove Yan Chen to his limits. He always liked to do things alone but started to form a team this time. Once there were more people, Lu Wu could not secretly hide cause more trouble to him, hence improving his odds.

Of course, he would not let Gu Xijiu go so easily. He wanted to trap her too. He had earth and thunder elements of spiritual power, and he was dominant in both abilities. Sometimes when Gu Xijiu was casually walking, there was either big rock or a big hole that would suddenly appear in front of her.

With all this backstory, it was clear as day that Gu Xijiu did not like Yan Chen, and it had become a habit for both of them to set traps for each other. So, when Gu Xijiu saw Yan Chen, her immediate reaction was to jump up and set up a barrier in front of her.

Yan Chen almost crashed into it! He was shocked but did not counter-attack. He used his sword to tap on the barrier and issued a flame to demolish it. Then, he withdrew his sword and stood beside Gu Xijiu, ”Are you teaching Waihu battle techniques?”

Gu Xijiu thought that he was asking nonsense, so she ignored him

”In fact, Waihu is not stupid…” Yan Chen continued.

Gu Xijiu continued to ignore him. She wanted to focus on planning how to strategize their next battle around Lan Waihu’s abilities.

”She is just not suitable for combat. I have taught her before, and she could not remember all the skills. I don’t want to see her suffer from disappointment anymore, that’s why I did not let her join the following battles. I don’t want her to get hurt anymore…” Yan Chen kept talking to himself.

Gu Xijiu was interrupted by him and started to feel impatient.

”Gu Xijiu, I do not care what is your purpose to train her. Please don’t hurt her. If you don’t like me, you can get your revenge on me but please don’t use her as your betting chips.”

Gu Xijiu finally angrily responded, ”Are you a monk? Why do you keep disturbing me? I really don’t like you, but that has nothing to do with Lan Waihu. Both of you are different people. You are not her parent, why would I hurt her because of you?”

Yan Chen remained silent.

Gu Xijiu continued, ”You keep saying that you don’t want to hurt her and don’t let her participate to protect her... Do you know why she is isolated in the class? Do you know that there is no one who wants to partner with her? If you don’t let her try just because you don’t want to hurt her, then you are hurting her! Do you really want to treat her like a locked bird in a cage?”

Yan Chen remained silent.

Gu Xijiu did not stop, ”I don’t believe there is not even a simple skill set that Lan Waihu can master.”

Suddenly, she stopped because an idea flashed through her mind! It was more important to master a few simple skill sets than to learn many tricks. As long as Lan Waihu could master a few simple tricks, it could be possible for her to remember them.
