CEO's Reborn Wife

Black Family’s mansion in Capital Province.

When everyone online was waiting for Jane Sampson to speak, what was she doing?

Sleeping.

Jane Sampson fell asleep in James Black’s arms and slept very deeply.

Perhaps it was James Black’s comfort, or it could be that as long as she was by James Black’s side, Jane Sampson could always be that carefree Monkey King of Sampson, so she slept soundly.

Upon waking up, Jane Sampson was awakened by a stench.

She wrinkled her eyebrows tightly under the quilt, a little unhappy, and reached out to push the man next to her who was holding her waist.

”Awake?” James Black noticed the movement beside him, lowered his head, and softly kissed Jane Sampson, preparing to kiss her again.

Unexpectedly, his kiss was heartlessly rejected by the woman who had just woken up.

Jane Sampson slapped her hand directly on James Black’s face, humming twice unhappily.

”What’s wrong?” James Black thought Jane Sampson was feeling unwell after waking up.

Suddenly, he heard Jane Sampson angrily questioning him, ”James Black! Did you fart under the quilt while I was asleep?”

James Black’s expression froze there.

”It stinks! I was woken up by your smelly fart! Why did you fart under the quilt? Don’t you know I was sleeping there?” Jane Sampson grew more and more unhappy as she spoke, grumbling and kicking James Black twice, not very hard, like scratching an itch for James, but her words were indeed enough to annoy him.

”I think you did it on purpose,” Jane Sampson said.

James Black laughed in exasperation, ”Has it been three days since you’ve been beaten?”

”No way!” Jane Sampson loudly defended herself, ”It was you who farted!”

Jane Sampson took a big sniff, ”And it smells like durian!”

After saying that, Jane Sampson immediately lifted the quilt to let some air out, but as soon as she lifted the quilt, she heard movement behind her and turned her head, dumbfounded.

The son of the Great General, who knows when, had sneaked up and was lying at her pillow side. The little fellow had two pieces of dried durian underneath his head, which he had found from somewhere, and upon seeing Jane Sampson, he opened his innocent big eyes and, as if presenting a treasure, pushed the dried durian towards Jane Sampson’s foot side.

”...” Jane Sampson turned her head to look at James Black with a face saying ”I have an apology, but I’m not sure if I should say it.”

”Oh dear, how did he get up here?” Jane Sampson hurried to pick up the puppy of the Great General’s family to leave.

James Black was faster, pulling her back directly.

”Wrongfully accused, now the truth has come out, and you just want to leave?” James Black tightly held her in his arms.

”What then?” Jane Sampson said in a small voice, ”Sorry, I was wrong?”

”Ha.” James Black looked at her with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

Obviously, this ”sorry, I was wrong” was not effective.

Indeed, if apologies were useful, why would people fight?

”If you still feel annoyed, you can hit me twice to vent it out.” Jane Sampson, with a martyr-like expression, moved her face towards James Black, ”Go ahead, I won’t fight back.”

It’s just that James Black couldn’t bear it and definitely wouldn’t do it. That little expression on her face, she couldn’t maintain it for more than a few seconds until she couldn’t help but hold back her laughter.

”You’re not going to hit me?” Jane Sampson waited a few seconds and then grinned, ”Well, it’s because you love me, love me so much, hitting me would hurt your heart, and heartache hurts more than flesh pain. Come to think of it, you’d be better off hitting yourself twice.”
