CEO's Reborn Wife

Jane Sampson chatted with Nia for two minutes before leaving three fans to talk with Nia. She and Sister Grace went out of the ward alone and discussed Nia’s condition at the ward door.

”Nia’s latest examination report has come out, and the director suggests a bone marrow transplant. This illness of Nia has really dragged on for too long,” Sister Grace sighed. ”But the director also said that even if it’s a bone marrow transplant, the probability of successful treatment isn’t one hundred percent.”

After going back, Jane Sampson checked out related cases, so she knew what Sister Grace was worried about.

Not to mention finding matching bone marrow is like fishing a needle out of the sea, even if it is found, after the transplant surgery, who knows how the recovery will be.

”The hospital has already registered Nia’s situation and is making efforts to find matching volunteers and kind-hearted people for Nia. The director said, given Nia’s condition, if it is postponed and the transplant surgery isn’t done, then Nia’s time would only be a year or half a year, and if her condition deteriorates later, it might be no more than half a year.”

When Sister Grace said this, she started sobbing softly, ”Nia doesn’t cry out in pain or shed tears, but she often feels so uncomfortable that she can’t sleep at night, tightly clenching her teeth, afraid to let me know where it hurts.”

If she wasn’t worried about Nia in the ward hearing her cry, Sister Grace really wanted to cry uninhibitedly.

”Sister Grace, such a good child like Nia will surely get better, and there are many children like Nia who recover well after bone marrow transplants and grow up healthy,” Jane Sampson gently held Sister Grace and comforted her in a low voice, ”Nia will also get better.”

Jane Sampson thought her own growing up had been quite unhappy.

But compared to Nia, Jane Sampson realized she was really too fortunate.

Nia is only three years old, yet she is more mature than any other child.

Jane Sampson wondered, what was she doing at three years old?

Running around causing mischief with Peter Gingery. Even a small scratch or a little blood would make her cry as if she were dying, and the whole family had to coax her, surround her with warmth before she would laugh.

But Nia?

She doesn’t say a word about pain during injections.

Takes medicine without showing discomfort.

Suffers without mentioning the hurt.

Nia is so obedient that Jane Sampson sincerely hopes she recovers soon.

Nia is only three years old, and this world still has so many wonderful things, waiting for Nia to experience.

After comforting Sister Grace, Jane Sampson and Sister Grace returned to the ward one after the other.

Nia saw Jane Sampson, reached out and smiled at her, saying, ”Sister Jane, Sister Grace is showing me the video of you playing the piano when you were little. Sister Jane, you were amazing, playing the piano so well at such a young age.”

”Your Sister Jane started learning from an early age, before she even knew how to recognize words, she could already memorize sheet music.” Jane Sampson is definitely like a goddess in Grace’s eyes.

”When I get discharged from the hospital, I also want to learn the piano. When I grow up, I want to be like Sister Jane, a very beautiful girl who can also play the piano.” Nia sat there smiling shyly, ”I will work hard, Sister Jane, when I grow up and learn to play, I’ll play for you to hear, how about that?”

Jane Sampson’s eye sockets felt warm, she nodded strongly, reached out to Nia and said, ”Alright, let’s hook our fingers and make a promise, when Nia grows up, she’ll play the piano for me, okay?”
